Crafting hats is a waste IMO. Unless they're ones no one wants, you could just trade them (eventually. hopefully.) for hats you want.

Hehe, poor you. When I was crafting a hat from my refined metals, I got a Demoman hat (Forgot the name) but since I don't play the Demoman so much, I crafted the hat with Texas Slim's Dome Shine and I got a Whopee cap. I'm so darn lucky some times.

You've got an ODD sense of luck then. That's easily one of the worst Scout hats, and considering he's got next to no good ones, that's saying something.
