Good photos. Though there's more I would have done to them while processing, if I couldn't have fixed them while shooting. The second photo needs to be exposed longer, the low light leaves the darker sections melting into the black background (white is very hard to photograph well). And both photos suffer from too much yellow light, which is hard to correct in Photoshop on images that also contain yellows and oranges.

I've been meaning to do a photoshoot of the Stringer that Mandrew sent me too, but haven't gotten that far, as I wanted to finish the MOCs I'm working on first, so I can do all of them at once.

I only seem to have yellow incandescent bulbs, yeah. Next time one burns out, should I spring for one of those compact fluorescent ones, or would that give things too much of a green tinge? I tried to get natural sunlight in these (opened my blinds), but I guess the desk was too far away from my window.

Well, to expose longer you're going to need a camera that lets you set the exposure manually. I don't know what kind of camera you're using, so I don't know if yours can do that or not.

As for the lighting, I shoot under incandescent light all the time. You just have to set the white balance on your camera to compensate for it, or edit it in Photoshop like I did with those images.

The Brightness/Contrast feature in Photoshop can only do so much.

Yep, though I don't use the brightness/contrast tools at all. That's just how it looked after one pass with the burn/dodge tool. It wouldn't have done that if I was using a different file format. For example, I shoot in RAW, which lets me do a lot more to the photo while editing than JPGs. The main point of that edit was the colours, so I think it still works.
