Whats wrong with having the Doctor have relationships with companions?

Only Rose was on both sides and strong though. Donna was JF.

The Waters of Mars and End of Time Part One and Two were between Planet of the Dead and the Eleventh Hour. The entire end of the Tenth Doctor, really. Kinda a big deal.

Also, you say Eccleston is the best Doctor, but what about the eight before him....? And as for building relationships with companions....that only happened with Rose. And the Tenth Doctor was quite a human Doctor, so it made sense.

And your criticism of Martha doesn't really hold up - she does say in The Sontaran Strategem that he can just come in and talk his way through stuff, but humans need to have some sort of defence, then later it's established that despite her role as a sort-of soldier, she is still inherently Doctor-y, and has clearly learned from him. You've clearly overlooked all that. And Donna always listened....but at least you liked her for whatever reason.

Also, who says the Doctor's name starts with a G.

And, to be pedantic, 'Are you my mommy?' is epic fail. 'Are you my mummy?' is win.
