The Master didn't say 'g'. The Doctor's name is never going to be revealed. This is a show that has been on since 1963, and the original creators did not make up a true name for the Doctor. If a new writer comes along and makes up some stupid name for him, there'd be outrage. Like when Greg called Makuta 'Teridax', except it'd be worse than that because this is 50 years of the history of the show.

And even if you've only seen series 1-4, it should still have explained Martha's position as a sort-of soldier to you.
