Brickfair Questions

Brappy Hour

Hello everyone. I need some help about what I should do at BrickFair.

My biggest concern is where I should put my shirts if I'm going to sell them there. Is BZP going to have it's own place there, and would it be a bother for me to set up shop there? I'm just nervous that I'll make a bad first impression. Since I'll be seeing so many important BZP members. So so so nervous! :(

Other Questions:

1. Should I bring any sets?

2. Can I bring certain items for trade?

3. If I brought a video camera would anyone like to use it?

That's about all I can think of for now.

P.S. If Black Six lets me. I volunteer to buy a set for them to review. Like the Furno Bike of the Drop Ship. If I get it back when they're done. ;)

To my knowledge, any selling of shirts that aren't pre-ordered can't happen while you're in the convention center unless you go and set up shop where the other vendors, which isn't cheap and wouldn't really apply to you. I'm not 100% sure on this though, as I know the TR-57 guys were selling shirts related to their stop-motion movies at their table, but this was also at BrickFest in Portland in 2009, so it was different people in charge.

1. Sure?

2. Don't know.

3. Yes, but not me, because I'll have my own camera there.

EW said that we could sell them at the table, but not advertise them. But if it's going to be a problem.....

I won't know what I'll do then. :(

1- If you want to. We don't display sets, though.

2- Sure. Someone somewhere might want to trade something.

3- I'll have my camera and Andrew's video camera, so I'll be camera'd up.

As for the shirts, you could always send Todd an email. There should be a contact link somewhere on the Brickfair site.

If you have your shirts in a nice, small box, you can stow them under the table with the other containers used for MOCs.

As for selling them, you can not really sell them at the Bionicle table, as there is a whole section for vending plus it would take up space used for MOCs (or you would be reaching over MOCs to hand to members, which would not work either). I will continue my answer in an answer for your second question:

1. As for sets, go ahead, but do not expect them to be out on display. This is about the creativity of the fans, not "hey look I built a set just like anyone else can."

2. There will be a "yard sale" at 6:00 PM on Saturday. Here people will be trading, selling, and buying LEGO stuff. I will be bringing a handful of reject pieces of mine, and you might also consider selling your shirts then. (I guess you might do better with the visitors crowd though. Heh.)

3. I have my own camera, but why not use your own camera and make your own memories of the things going on around you?
