New Tent
So, went to Gander Mountain today to get a new tent. Well, really, another tent, as my older one doesn't fit two people too comfortably. For all of those wondering, I needed a tent that can fit two people comfortably because not only am I going to Brickfair, but I am also bringing a friend along and we're camping at a nearby campground for the entire trip.
Anyways, back to my story. So I was looking through the tents, and I see this big ol' 10 person 12x12 tent. I look at the price tag, and it's $179.99. All of the smaller tents are about $129.99 to $149.99. So I don't think to much about it. Until I look up, that is. Right above the tent that I was looking at was a clearance sign that said "CLEARANCE: $99.99." And I thought to myself "Self, that's a 10 person tent that's cheaper than all of these 4 person tents. You know what you must do." It kinda also helped that I had a gift card for $50 bucks.
So, after taxes, my 1 year warranty thingy, and a pack of beef jerky, I ended up paying $68.49 for a tent that was originally $100 more.
I'm totally going to be a happy camper. There's going to be so much room!
(as a side note, the store also sold the same type of tent that my Scout Troop uses. I almost got that, but the price on the one that I bought was just too good)
