BC3 Addition: Item Fusion

So Item Fusion is gonna be a huge addition to the game. It's definitely not necessary to use it, but it'll allow you to gain a significant edge, especially as NPC enemies get stronger and stronger.

My original description from the BC3 topic:

If any of you still remember, back in the original Bionicle Conflict, there was an item called the Item Forge, where items could be randomly combined. Sadly, it was never actually used, and was probably far too complicated to actually be useful. In addition, you probably might remember that items were more diverse in the past two games, with items like Artifacts giving stat boosts, effects, and all that jazz.

 

Item Fusion is my insane combination of those two. Basically, you will be able to take your weapons and armor, and fuse items that are dropped or bought in a shop into them. This allows you to add chances for status effects into your weapon (meaning all your attacks might inflict that status now), give powerful stat bonuses, or even add special Abilities into them.

So now let's go over it in detail:

I. How You Fuse Items:

Item Fusion is essentially another shop in the game, as a new section in the first post. Basically, as long as you're not currently in a battle (like with all other shops), you can buy a Fusion Item from it, and then fuse it into one of your other items. Fusion itself is a free process. All you need is the material to do it, which is where the cost comes in. Of course, if you just happen to have a suitable item, then you can immediately fuse it with your items.

Unlike the regular shops, Fusion Materials aren't as strictly segregated by Class Tier, but by cost. Essentially, if you have enough Widgets already hoarded, you can fuse some of the more powerful Materials right in. Of course, the most powerful items may be locked by tier or rank, but those are the exception.
