Legend Of Zelda

Anyone here a retro-game fan? :howdy:

A while ago, like, back in 2005 (Right before my Bionicle time) I was really into Zelda. Mainly the first two games. I had beat the first one, but I couldn't bet the 2nd one. I'd get so close and just couldn't.

Anyways, I stopped playing... a while ago. But recently, for whatever reason, I started again. Before I did much, I convinced my sister to be my 'second'. She'd be holding the maps and whatnot, telling me where to go, what to expect in the next room, what to do when I got there. She was extremely helpful.

Let's just say that I beat the Legend of Zelda in 4 lives, all of which were suicide because we ran out of playing time. :P

[As a funny note, once I beat castle 5, I decided to kill myself. So I went to castle 8, and beat it.]

Yeah, you can beat the NES LoZ's dungeons in practically any order. You can also play through the whole game with no sword, except for Death Mountain, where you need to use it. :P

I've played that a little... haven't got past talking with Zelda in the castle for the first time (computer glitches up XD)

Good luck, just keep yourself stocked up on bombs. :P

I play ocarinia of time. I can't beat Ganon. :(

I suggest bringing a green potion or two. Using the Light Arrows drain your magic faster than you can beat him, even with a full magic bar, so you'll need to refill. If you don't want to use potions, you can collect some by making Ganon smash one of the castle parts (I think the flatone with the beams on top usually has potions inside), just be sure to blind him with a Deku Nut so you don't get slashed. Alternatively, you can try using Nayru's Love to defend yourself as roll under his legs to hit the tail. This is only worth it if you can hit him 4 or more times before the spell runs out, however. Otherwise, Light Arrows are most efficient.

That, and whatever else you have other than a sword. I could be wrong, but it seems like the max amount of bombs you can carry is 8, so definitely don't use them all the time, just try to keep your stock full.

Starts as 8, then you can buy in the castles up to 12 then 16. Wand works well, moreso when you get the book. Arrows do well too, but they're pricey.
