Brave Dragon Posted September 7, 2010 If your hard drive is making clicking noises, then it's usually a hd failure. Even if there's hard drive failure, you might still extract data from the hard drive. That's what I did when my other computer's hard drive couldn't boot windows without freezing. I took the hard drive from the case, got a sata to usb cable, hooked it to another computer, and backed-up everything. I think I was lucky that time. Quote Link to comment
