90 Minute Delayed Reaction

Lyger

Guess what? It snowed about two inches today. Thats JUST enough that a car coming by will crush it into ice as opposed to just melting it under friction, like when we got a centimeter. So naturally roads covered in ice are not exactly safe, so we need to bring in the plows.

Therefore, lo and behold, we got a 90 minute delayed opening! Huzzah!

Guess what? JUST as I was loading the school website to check for a delayed opening, as my danged internet connection was going "Connecting... connecting..." the BUS DECIDES TO COME AT THE NORMAL TIME. First off, our driver seems to NOT notice the fact that THERE ARE ABOUT SEVEN PEOPLE ON THE BUS. Secondly, she doesn't seem to notice that THERE IS NOT A SINGLE OTHER PERSON OR BUS ABOUT WHEN WE GET TO SCHOOL. Third, she DOES NOT wait for us to confirm whether or not there is a delayed opening! Sure, leave a bunch of kids at a school that is POTENTIALLY EMPTY OF ANY ADULT LIFE FORMS. One kid even SAID, hey could ya please wait while we check? And she doesn't seem to entertain the possibility!

We get there and we are absolutely ALONE in those halls for about five minutes until we see two teachers entering from the faculty entrance in the back, and they're like well what are you doing here?

I end up spending an hour and a half sitting in front of my locker, on the ground, thus causing my feet to continually fall asleep, while I read a book. Thank goodness I always have a good book on me.

I mean, GEEZ, I gotta stay after school in the first place to redo a Bio lab that got completely botched, and the extra amount of time I coulda slept late...

*sigh*

On the bright side, the snow was nice. I paced out "HI!" in the snow on our front lawn. Someone at school paced out something a bit more rude in the snow in the courtyard.

Was coming in just a minute ago and I grabbed a handful of snow off a bush, since it looks just so clean and white, and I start eating it, and as it melts, I realize...

YECH, this tastes like leaves!

Genius move right there.

So anyway, that was my day. =D

I once had a bus driver named Jerry who was just like that. Rude, arrogant, and angry too. Losing extra sleep time isn't very fun either... And why didn't you just not get on the bus?

When I read the topic title, I thought this would be one of those times when someone tells a joke, and half an hour later the dumb person in the group finally gets it and starts laughing. :P

Yeah, that sort of thing happens to me all the time. My school starts late every Wednesday, but I always seem to forget and wake up at six, anyways.

Well, keep in mind that the chances of a snow day in Sacramento, CA is like . . . zero. :P I get about an hour off, a snow day gives you the whole day.
