Why!?

I've been looking at getting a Kindle for a while now, and I noticed something very odd - the Kindle seems to be going for more on eBay than it is on Amazon. Why is that? Why can I buy a Wi-Fi only Kindle for $150 on Amazon but it costs $230 on ebay? The Kindle DX is selling for $500 on eBay but $300 on Amazon.

I can only find a single Kindle that is below RRP, a Wi-Fi only Kindle 3. But it's an auction, so it'll probably end up higher. Why is this happening? Why is a site known for savings selling things for more than they're worth?

Ah well. If I get a good price on my DSi I should get my Kindle three weeks from now or so.
