Lego Racers 3 Needs To Be Made

I mean seriously.

Needs to be more like Racers 1 than 2. Open race world was an okay idea, but it left the environments kinda uninteresting after a while. Also, no destructible cars. That just left people with fewer bricks at a disadvantage. Also, tighten it up. Both games were kinda loose in terms of control.

Also, do NOT tie it to the Racers set theme. It needs a truckload of different themes in the game, from various years. Make it like the Smash Bros. of LEGO, in terms of variety. And maybe some Wi-Fi VS. too, if LEGO wants to be nice. :>

I recently started playing LR1. I love that game.

Lego Racers 2 is good, but not as good.

(Oh, and it works on Windows 7 in compatibility mode)

I loved them both, and would love to see a LR3.

I preferred the closed-circuit style of the first game as well, because there were properly incorporated shortcuts and it allowed more unique tracks. The open-style of the second game was fun for exploring (especially when abusing the simple physics), but checkpoints instead of proper track boundaries was annoying. (Although in the Adventure Island races you could push the boss driver off the track during the cliff section, and they would be out for good B) ).

I did love the deconstructable cars though, because watching rainbow minifigs desperately running and leaving scorching tire tracks behind them is amusing, even when you're the one running.

That was the only way I could beat Rocket Racer. :P

Yeah, I only played LR2, and it was fun, but it doesn't work on Vista, which stinks.

Haha, yeah the physics are really fun to mess with. Have you ever tried going underwater in Sandy Bay? Just grab a drill power-up (preferably in multiplayer Battle), then ride it into the water. It's pretty fun to explore there, and if you find the right spot, you can fall off the map and get insane velocity. :o My max falling speed is about 700 MPH.
