Spamalot!
I went to see Monty Python's Spamalot last night. It is a "rip-off" of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. A broadway show. It was hilariously better than the movie.
They cut off some parts of the movie, and added some parts, such as "The Lady of the Lake." Nonetheless, it was very well set out.
They had a live orchaestra playing. The actors were very well chosen. Great scenes.
And I was in the front row.
But, a guy was picked two seats behind me to go up on stage, because he was "sitting on the Grail." What a bummer. But lemme tell ya: it had nothing to do with spam, e-mail spam, or spammers. Except for a SPAM brand food trailer giving out free (terrible) samples outside. And a tub of SPAM when they go into Camalot. And the message "You've Got Grail."
The most common line: I'm not dead yet. Making me want to buy the "I'm not dead yet." tee shirt outside. I couldn't, 'coz of the massive horde of people outside as well.
But I got a free CD in the catalog program that they were selling!
It was well worth $90 per ticket (I went with a family member) and $20 per catalog.
And my grandfather is watching the Super Bowl. Move Along by All-American Rejects was playing in-background a minute or two ago.
