Both are great games. I recommend both.

If you have a Playstation, what would make this decision easier, if you bought the Final Fantasy Anthology (which consists of Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI).

However if you aren't into a corny love story, get FF5.

I need to pick up my pre-order for FF6.

I have a friend who owns the Anthology, but it sounds like there's new content in at least one of the two that makes the GBA versions more desirable.

Getting both is an option I have considered. Most likely after my next payday.

Yeah I can't recall the new stuff for FF5, since I haven't been playing it much. Most likely a new dungeon after completion of the game, and also new weapons and I believe a class.

I know FF6 has 4 new Espers. Leviathon and Gilgamesh being 2 of them.

I have to say both, but if I had to choose only one, FFVI would be it. FFV has a great battle/job system, lots of challenge and the extras are awesome also. FFVI has a great story, soundtrack, memorable characters and stands as the greatest FF in my book.

Good luck choosing which one, either way you cannot go wrong.

FFV also has the "strongest final boss" in history.

Which is what people have said. Out of the bosses, Neo Ex-Death is said to be the toughest.

Wouldn't you want that challenge?

SIX. 6. VI.

It is the way to go. FF VI has an AWESOME villain (Rivaling Sephiroth, in his own demented way), a wunderbar cast, some interesting ideas, and Cid in what looks like a rubber chicken suit. HOW CAN YOU LOSE?

Meanwhile FF V has

A. Bad graphics D=

B. Weird/annoying plotline D=

C. CLASS CHANGES. OH MAN THE CLASS CHANGES.

D. I just don't like it very much ; ;

I'd prefer six, myself, but if you wanna get five, be my guest.
