Passing that over... Hey, at least you have a working camera now. How old is it? If it's a 'dinosaur' (no auto-focus, somewhat blurry quality), you could use that as leverage to get a new camera.

Ironically the one that's lasted the longest was my dad's really really old film camera which is probably older than I am.
