Inhabitant (2/293)

  1. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)"Well, since we'll be traveling together," Zakta began, sliding a few credits on the table to cover the drinks. "Wouldn't it be much easier if our ships were connected as to limit confusion upon our arrival at any given system?" In a way, he found the situation hilarious, but somehow managed to disguise his grin.
  2. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)"Actually, yes, one more thing," Zakta began, pushing himself from his seat. "How would you feel about carrying my ship around?"
  3. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)"For the time being at least. Once this whole mess blows over, you'll be free to do what you wish." Zakta responded.
  4. IC (Centerpoint, day 1)"Well, first off we need to get out of the system." Zakta began. "Go underground on a city planet, maybe Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa. We hide around there and make a living for ourselves while the earliest people to take the bounty on us lose interest and find other targets. Then, when we've got a better edge on this slimy thug, we get back at him and clear up this price on our heads."
  5. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)"Well, a plan of action would be my first choice." the hunter said, leaning back in his seat. "Now, this guy isn't that big on the food chain, but he's got deep pockets. I checked on his financials before I took out the contract on you, and he's got quite a bit of money for a Rodian who just got out of prison. I wouldn't be surprised if we already have a Hutt-sized bounty on our heads." he paused as the waitress returned, bringing him a new drink. He quietly thanked her and waited for her to leave, continuing. "Now, that kind of money is going to bring hunters. A lot of them. I'd say our best bet to get out of this mess unscathed is to fly low and wait for the main drag to pass us by, and give us a chance to get a bit of payback."
  6. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)The hunter sighed as he finished his drink, setting it aside. "What I want," he began, seemingly unphased. "is for you to lighten up a bit, and have a drink. We have plenty to discuss, so you might as well make yourself comfortable." He turned to a waitress, motioning her over. "What's your fancy? I hear they have some nice Corellian Ale."
  7. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)"I don't see much good in sharing names, considering I already know yours." he mumbled, taking a sip from a drink he had set aside. "But I suppose if you feel so inclined, then you can call me Zakta."
  8. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)The Rift wasn't what Zakta had predicted it would be, but it was good enough for now. He had secured himself a nice corner table near the back, where he sat with a particularly enticing Twi'lek dancer. She stared at him, enthralled by one of his 'pick-up' stories. "... So there I was." he continued in his dramatic voice, watching the dancer swoon. "Caught between the dreaded hunter Sven, and the Hutt Largo; my escape, cut off by a group of the crime lord's finest men. My hope, dwindling, I reached for my blaster, and-" he continued, pausing as his eyes drifted over the Twi'lek's shoulder to Csarissa as she stepped through the entrance. "Ah, Csarissa! Over here!" he shouted out, waving the Selonian over.
  9. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)Zakta crossed his arms, sighing. "If you must. But do hurry, we don't want to spend too much time on this station. When you get back, meet me in The Rift. It looks like a nice enough place to get a drink. They might even have clean glasses." he said, pointing somewhere off behind him. With out any further instructions, he turned and vanished into the crowd of people, presumably heading towards the bar.
  10. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)The Commercial sector, despite its vast array of stalls, didn't seem to have anything that really caught Zakta's eye. Sure he could use a new blaster, and he'd really enjoy an astromech, but where'd he put it? He had the money, but no room on his tiny starfighter. So, with heavy disappointment, he left the last store. He was just getting ready to leave for his ship, when he spotted a familiar looking figured, glancing through the stalls with an astromech droid in tow. "There you are Csarissa... It's time to talk." He pulled up the veil on his suit, stealthily changing over to his human form as he slunk through the crowd towards the Selonian. He stepped casually beside her as she walked, flipping down his veil. "Hey, finally found you." he began in a friendly voice. "Wanna grab a drink?"
  11. IC(Centerpoint Station, Day 1)Changing his ship's ID transponder was a procedure Zakta had grown accustomed to. He learned from an old mechanic back on Nar Shaddaa, and always kept a spare card on him, just in case. His new ID would get him on the station without drawing the attention of CorSec, but it wouldn't be long before they tracked him down, especially after the ruckus he caused planet-side. The docking process took a little over an hour, and after another ten minute wait, he finally arrived at Centerpoint. Rather than use his human form, he chose the more unorthodox iridonian. He was still working out how to get the horns just right, but he could hide it beneath his Mabari armor weave. The Bounties office, a small, cramped room beneath the commercial district was mostly empty, save for an officer who manned the desk. Zakta stepped up to a small console, checking over a list of faces and numbers. "How often does your list update?" he asked in passing. "Our list updates every two to four hours." The officer yawned. "If you're looking for a specific target, they've either already been claimed, or haven't been added to the list yet." "Ah, thank you." He responded, searching for the Selonian's name first. An error message popped up, stating no name existed in the system. Zakta breathed a sigh of relief. If there was a bounty on them, it wasn't up yet. There was still time to get out. He nodded to the officer, leaving the office. Now time to find his companion; but first, a bit of shopping.
  12. IC(Corellia, Coronet, Day 1):Zakta hopped into the cockpit of his Starfighter, sighing as he eased back into his natural, scaly form. As the fighter began to power up, the door across the hangar opened. A second team of grunts spilled in firing blindly. The Clawdite prepped for a quick escape, when the weapons light suddenly flashed on. "Revenge, you have the strangest timing of all forces..." he thought, pulling the trigger. A volley of lasers erupted into the hangar, killing most of the team in an explosion of fire. The few remaining survivors continued firing, even as he flipped the ship around and blasted off into the atmosphere. He felt comfortable in the blanket of space, even with the mass of signals pinging his vessel. "Centerpoint station eh? Well... lets see what happens."
  13. IC(Corellia, Starlight Sentinel, Day 1)"In case you didn't notice, my employer just tried to kill me." Zakta began, crossing his arms. "There's not much point in killing you now, and taking into account the fact that we'll both have quite large bounties on our heads within the next few days, I'd say it's within both of our best interests to we stick together until we come up with a solution to this predicament."
  14. IC(Corellia, Coronet Spaceport, Day 1)"Before we begin traipsing around the galaxy," Zakta began, folding his legs as he took his seat against the back wall. "Perhaps you could drop me off in hangar 342c so I could pick up my ship? It's actually a bit important to me."
  15. IC(Corellia, Coronet Spaceport, Day 1)Zakta said nothing, quickly and quietly sheathing his blade. "Instead of killing me," he began, his face expressionless. "Why not focus on getting us out of here before they decide to blow a hole in your ship like they did with that door?"
