  1. The toy itself is confirmed, but only for a Takara release. It's obvious that the Hasbro release will turn up sooner or later, though. They might even pull a Dreadwing/Skyquake and release it alongside the Silas redeco when it comes out.
  2. Voyager Megs is my favorite mold from the DOTM line. It's a darn shame they didn't make a Leader class out of that design. Probably would've blown the last two out of the water (not that that's a hard feat, heh).Leader Sentinel is an amazing toy, but his transformation is almost torturous. Still, though, the engineering is amazing. I still can't get over how his arms go inside his legs.
  3. Leader may be (arguably) more accurate to the CGI model, but HA is hands-down the better toy.Plus Leader comes with a big chunk of pure gimmick, while HA's gimmick is very subtle.
  4. Oh gosh, there are so many. First ones that come to mind:The Princess BrideThe AvengersStar Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes BackRaiders of the Lost ArkIndiana Jones and the Last CrusadeO Brother, Where Art Thou?Toy Story (1-3)The Dark KnightThe MatrixInceptionAnd as an honorable mention:Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: Movie War Mega Max
  5. This is what I say with Hot Shot: If you have FE Bumblebee and you never got the PRID version, get Hot Shot. If you have PRID Bumblebee would like the mold better if it wasn't Bumblebee, get Hot Shot. If you don't have either FE or PRID Bumblebee because you hate Bumblebee, get Hot Shot.Hot Shot is the DOTM Thundercracker for me; a repaint of a mold that almost everybody would normally pass over that improves upon the original toy but is a non-screen character. (Coincidentally, they're both blue.)Basically what I'm saying is buy Hot Shot. EVERYONE. *runs and cradles PRID Hot Shot* I second this. As one who isn't really into Movie Bumblebee's design in general, HA Bumblebee is a fantastic toy and easily the best one yet (arguably tied with Battle Blades; BB has a more accurate head and sizes better with the others).
  6. I really liked Movie figures during the ROTF line, but by the time DOTM rolled around I was starting to get tired of the aesthetic and the thousands of Bumblebees everywhere. Combined with the downright awful quality of the DOTM toys, it nearly put me off collecting altogether. I'll probably end up collecting the Trans4mers line, though, because I'm a sucker for new toys. Here's a question for the thread: Has anyone ever gone completist on a toyline? I went completetist on Animated, with the exception of non-toy repaints. I almost went completist on the ROTF Deluxes and Scouts, but the number of ugly repaints put me off.
  7. $8 on clearance. It was $24.99 retail, but stores immediately dropped it to around $20. Cheapest I saw was actually the Target exclusive that came with Sentinel Prime for around $15. I really regret not picking that up. The only reason I didn't is because it has no real place in my collection, unlike the Prime Cyberverse line.
  8. Man, I wish that trick still worked. Darn these new boards!
  9. Actually, the Cyberverse Ark had unremovable Pillars in its open base mode. You can't do anything with them, but it's cool that they added them.
  10. $20? Shoot, I expected $30. Yeah, I'll be grabbing that one the second I see it. As for the Jack Hammer, I'm still on the fence about it. I'll have to see it in person to make a decision.
  11. Hnggggh I want that drill. How big is it and what's the pricepoint?
  12. I used to be like the majority of people here with the opinion of "OH MEGABLOCKS R SO DUMB THERE CHEEP Lego Bricks KNOCKOFFS"... until I actually bought one. Granted, it was the Halo Falcon, and Halo is the highest-end of Mega Bloks products, but still. While I don't necessarily prefer them to Lego, these things have really good quality. The minifigures use balljoints and have pretty great articulation. Plus, there are those awesome swirled-color bricks and really cool painted parts. Oh, and the price for value is a bit better. All I'm saying is don't knock 'em till you try 'em, guys.
  13. Well, here's some news on TF4: It's nothing major, but I'm interested to see where they go with it.
  14. Ah! Good. Everyone should have that toy in some form or another. I still look at mine and wonder how the designers managed to figure that one out.
  15. If you're looking for the best Optimus Prime toy, then I insist you hunt down the ROTF/HFTD Leader figure. That's still a true masterpiece of a Transformer that, well, isn't a Masterpiece.
  16. To be fair, the quality of all of Hasbro toys have greatly decreased in the past few years. However, the quality of Cyberverse, Commanders especially, are way ahead of the DOTM toys in terms of quality. Those Deluxes, while the molds were mostly good, had horrible paint apps that really ruined a lot of the figures for me.And you can't really compare Cyberverse to Deluxes, Voyagers, Leaders, etc. of the past. Compare Prime Legion figures to Movie 1 Legends figures, and there's no contest. While quality is slowly going down, toy engineering is only getting better, which is what keeps me buying them.
  17. Are you serious? Firstly, they're not cheap. A $9 Cyberverse Commander is the same value as a $14 Deluxe. Both are overpriced, but they're the same quality, just at a different pricepoint. As for "cheap" as in bad quality, no. Cyberverse Megatron is even more accurate than Voyager Megatron. Figures like Ironhide or Dreadwing are excellent figures in both accuracy and engineering. Shoot, Legion Cliffjumper is undoubtedly the greatest price-for-value figure you can buy right now. These aren't Legends figures. These are Legends combined with the awesome Scouts from the ROTF line. Legends on steroids, if you will.As for Bot Shots, they're $4 and a ton of fun. If you don't dig the gimmick, that's fine and your opinion. Don't call them cheap and cheesy, because that's just incorrect and horribly close-minded.Pardon the rant. I'm going to go roll Bot Shots Lockdown around for a few minutes to calm down...
  18. Bot Shots are basically the best thing ever. I keep Thundercracker on my dashboard just cuz he's so awesome.
  19. I got lucky when I found Knock Out, but I'm going to wait until the revision wave hits before I resort to paying above retail for a few Vehicons. I'm not saying they're not worth around $20, I'm just cheap. And hopefully having 2 per case will make them easier to find. Assuming people don't just buy every single one in the store, that is.
  20. Ah, okay. I see what you mean now. I did the same m0d to my HA Bumblebee. Too bad Barricade is impossible to find for a reasonable price nowadays. He's one of my favorite Movie designs.
  21. I can't really tell what modifications you made, as I can't enlarge the picture without it asking me to login to Yahoo!. I'm envious that you have HA Barricade, though. It's a particularly stupid and outdated part of BZPower's word filter. I don't think anybody really knows why we can't say "m0d".
  22. I'm not sure if this is ridiculously old news or not, but it's news to me; apparently Bionicle got a shout-out in an issue of The Spectre. I don't know the context of the comic, but that is undeniably Gali, Tahu, Pohatu, and Lewa right there.So... does this make Bionicle part of the DC Universe?(Also, pardon me if this is in the wrong forum. I wasn't sure where else to put it.)
  23. In addition, Armada Red Alert was actually called Ratchet in Micron Legend, but then First Aid/First Gunner in Galaxy Force. I'm not sure if the name change to Red Alert was a matter of trademark issues (not copyright, which doesn't apply to names) or just to make the name different from the original anime.Either way, when I think Red Alert, I think of the one-handed emergency Robocop guy.EDIT: I did some research, and apparently Hasbro did not have the trademark for "Ratchet" at the time of Unicron Trilogy. In fact, they didn't up until very recently. Every Ratchet up until Prime Ratchet, I think, has had some sort of prefix, like "Autobot Ratchet", "Rescue Ratchet", "Desert Tracker Ratchet", etc. So I suppose the naming of the medic Autobot "Red Alert" was more of a deliberate choice, unless they just didn't want prefixes like that back then.Who knows, man, who knows.
