Early on Saturday, April 28th, an individual with malicious intent (hereafter referred to as the hacker) gained access to BZPower's server and began manipulating the forum and the rest of the site. Several attempts were made to remove his access, and the Administration worked nearly around the clock all weekend to resolve the issue. By the end of Monday, April 30th, we believed we had removed the backdoor the hacker had used and prevented him from accessing the site.Since then, the Administration has been working to bolster our security and do out best to make sure the problem had been resolved.What you need to know:

[*]No member passwords were compromised and no accounts were accessed.[*]The Banned Members group was removed and all the individuals within were moved to the Members group. The staff still needs to work to resolve this.[*]Forum permissions and settings were changed, altering the behavior of the forums, but they have all been restored.[*]The staff bios on the main page were deleted, but we have backups and will be restoring them.
