True fear is going on your old Brickshelf and remembering how you used to make cheesy sprite comics. I'm too afraid to look.

Four thoughts on the Rogue One trailer:
1. It definitely looks different from The Force Awakens, which is a good thing. Let the spin-offs be their own things.
2. Good gravy that Mon Mothma casting is perfect. I honestly thought she was a CG recreation the first time I saw her (Genevieve O'Reilly also played her in Episode III, but I don't even remember her in that so take that how you will).
3. I'm wondering if the Rebel guy with the mustache is Biggs. It looks like him, but I don't think there's been any confirmation.
4. There is a Gonk droid. All is well.

This is such a good teaser, getting you hyped without showing too much of the movie. I am both extremely excited and extremely nervous about this movie. I'm excited because it has a great cast, it has the music, and it looks like it'll be very respectful to the original. But I'm nervous because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, and I've never seen a remake of a movie I really cared about so I'm really hoping it lives up to the original.

It's funny how three years ago, hardly anyone knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy and nobody expected it to be a hit. And now I just saw Geico, Hanes, and Ford all run commercials about them. Groot was hanging out with the Gecko and underwear will help you save the universe.
Hollywood is weird.

A Revelation
By Hordaki,
The SpongeBob episode Squeaky Boots is just a child-friendly adaptation of 'The Telltale Heart' by Edgar Allan Poe.
It's amazing what things you realize in the middle of the night while deprived of sleep.

Is that because its been on the air for 50+ years, a monster like this
and a monster like this
are both equally canon and valid designs.

So apparently this is a thing people can do with TASBots:
(Note that this is an unaltered ROM of Pokemon Yellow and could work on actual GameBoy hardware)
I don't understand technology anymore.

AKA The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The coolest part of this game is how it feels like a 3D AAA version of the first Zelda, where you have to explore to find dungeons and items. I know I'll like it and spend a lot of time in this game considering good gravy it's huge, but there is a part of me that hopes there's still some of the staples of older Zelda games like dungeons and a cohesive story.

I've always been a fan of the books and I liked the movie, so I was really excited for the Netflix adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events. If you've never read the books, it's about three recently-orphaned children who are pursued by a villainous actor who wants nothing more than their family fortune told through a strange blend of mystery and black comedy with a lot of witty narration by the titular author Lemony Snicket. The show itself does a great job of capturing the tone of the books, with Patrick Warburton as the perfect Snicket and Neil Patrick Harris as a funny yet despicable Count Olaf. While it doesn't follow the books perfectly, most of the changes are additions to serve the ongoing mystery (which is understandable, the mystery in the books didn't start until around 5 and the show goes through the first 4). The show isn't for everyone, but if you have Netflix I would highly recommend checking it out. It's a very fresh debut for the new series.
If you saw it, what did you think?

I'm kind of bummed that Nintendo didn't show any new Pokemon from Sun and Moon during the Direct (the code bird doesn't count), but I probably just overhyped myself considering how much of XY we saw when they were announced.
Also they better make Mega Solrock and Mega Lunatone for the new games (but make them exclusive to the opposite versions just to mess with everyone).

(or there's an
if you prefer a more action-y one)
There's just something so surreal and awesome about seeing Spider-Man existing and crime-fighting in the MCU, even after Civil War already did that. I'm really excited to see what Marvel can do with the ol' Webhead, and I'm glad that it looks like Sony is letting them take the reins. Tom Holland is great, the humor is funny, the Vulture looks pretty intimidating (although villains have never been Marvel's strong suit so I'm not sold just yet), and I like the idea of a mentor relationship between Peter and Tony.
(Also, for anyone who says Marvel movies have no stakes, skip to 1:23 and tell me that's not a tragic loss)

It was interesting playing through Twilight Princess HD, considering how long it's been since I played the original and how it seems to have garnered a less positive reception in recent years compared to other Zelda games. Having now beaten it, here's how I think it holds up.
Pros
The gameplay is as good as ever and evolves nicely from The Wind Waker. Combat is quick and satisfying, and the controls are easy and responsive. Using the Gamepad to switch items or check the map on the fly is really great and helps tremendously in dungeons.
The dungeon design is great, with interesting puzzles and a good sense of progression.
The story and characters are some of the best in the series. The characters all have personality, and many of them have actual character development. Midna in particular is probably the best helper character in any Zelda game, and one of the few to have her own character arc. The story also stays interesting, as you travel Hyrule and learn the truth about the titular Twilight Princess.
Cons
This game has too much filler and backtracking between dungeons. For example, here are the steps to get from the second dungeon to the third: It's not all bad and it gets better once you get to the Master Sword, and I realize it helps the story progress, but it can get really irritating if you just want to beat dungeons.
A lot of the items from the second half of the game are pretty limited in use, and are rarely useful outside of their respective dungeons.
The game leans too heavily on Ocarina of Time. The woirld, enemies, and dungeon progression all mirror Ocarina, and can make certain elements too predictable. And about the ending...
Others
The graphics look really nice and are much sharper and smoother than before, but they don't look as good or as transformative as The Wind Waker HD. It looks like how you remember it looking, for better or worse.
The Wolf Link amiibo is really well-made, but it doesn't add much in terms of gameplay.
Overall, I still really like this game and recommend it if you want a Zelda game with a great story. But if story doesn't interest you and you just want gameplay, you should probably look elsewhere (I recommend A Link Between Worlds in that case).
Also I didn't mean to go that long with the filler section wow.

It's always nice when Amazon delivers your book a day earlier than the book is supposed to be released. It's good so far (I'm about ten chapters in), If you like any of the other Percy Jackson books you'll like this. Also, all of the chapter titles are bad haikus. It's the little things.
