    iunno i just felt compelled to draw a gigantic sky whale today so

    so Gapon here is a giant sky whale, a very rare species of creature. giant sky whales live for a very long time - a certain specimen was believed to have lived for over 450 years. they will sometimes fly into clouds with their mouths agape, feeding on the small cloud-dwelling creatures within them, such as the Lesser Striped Cloud Krill. when giant sky whales start to die, they will lay down in a mountainous area and stop feeding completely. it can take up to 50 years for their dead body to fully decay. it used to be believed that their yawn would bring good luck.
     
    Gapon is a very famous, modern-day sky whale, and many people have devoted their lives to following him wherever he goes in order to study him further. he is estimated to be around 300 years old.
     
     
    i dunno maybe i should just stick to drawing instead of creating lore. whatever at least i'm pleased with how he came out =)

    Okay, I really don't usually read comics here, but a long time ago, when I was young, I remember reading this one comic on Brickshelf or something that was just absolutely hilarious(at the time, anyway). Over the years, I have scoured the web in search of this comic, but to no avail.
     
    So I'm asking you comic-buffs if you know where I can find it. The only things I really can remember is that it focuses on the Toa Mata on and that in some sort of mini-series Pohatu gets turned into a plushie(and someone is all "OMG!! YOU GOT A POHATU PLUSHIE!" or something like that) and a Christmas special where the Toa sing different Christmas songs(I think Kopaka sings "Silent night" and Pohatu sings "Grandma got run over by a Bohrok", if that helps).
     
    SO YEAH. That's it.

    i had a bunch of Pokes competing for this Hip Pokemon of the Day. eventually i was able to decide on one, however.

    HUNTAIL
     
    if i had payed this guy more attention when i first saw him, i wouldn't have had all those rants in my head about how more Pokemon based on eels, specifically a gulper eel, should totally be made. why? because, as it turns out, Huntail here actually is based on an eel. specifically, a gulper eel. i just realized this recently, and now i feel like a total cool dude. anyhow, i had actually really started warming up to this guy right before i realized he was based on a gulper, but once i figured it out his popularity with me skyrocketed. is he my new favorite Water-Type? heck no(Sharpedo ftw), but he's close to the top
     
    although i still have no clue how he learns Shell Smash

    ah, i remember when i first saw Honedge. i instantly loved his design. it was just so perfect and so clever the way his sheath made a fake face and his his tassel looked like an arm, plus the way he unsheathed himself was so cool… oh yeah, it was love at first sight. he was so perfect, in fact, that i was scared he would evolve into something lackluster and predictable, like a haunted suit of armor that everyone seemed to want.
     
    well, a few months later they revealed Doublade. i’ll admit, i was a bit disappointed at first, considering they literally just stuck two Honedge together and made them pink. but over time, his(their?) design grew on me once i realized that “one Honedge = cool, so two Honedge = twice as cool? also pink is an awesome color so”.
     
    and then, as fate would have it, i was spoiled by a leaked picture of Aegislash. and i was really quite dissatisfied with his design. it took away everything i loved about Honedge and Doublade. instead of a sheath that cleverly made a false face, it just had a shield, and its disguised tassel arm now was two straight-up arms, complete with elbows. it just… wasn’t the same.
     
    but i found myself coming back to that photo, and each time i did that i warmed up to Aegislash more and more. and eventually i ended up loving him just as much as his previous forms, and even more now(i think what sealed the deal was his adorable eating animation in Pokemon-Amie)

    TODAY'S POKEMON ARE
     

     
    ELGYEM AND BEHEEYEM
     
    when i first saw Elgyem and Beheeyem, well, i can't really remember because i just glanced them over without a second thought. but lately taken quite a shine to them. i don't exactly know what it is about them, but something just works for me. maybe it's because Elgyem is absolutely adorable, and i love Beheeyem's coat thingy. their names are hilarious once you figure them out, too(LGM = Little Green Men; BEM = Bug Eyed Men). whatever the exact reason is, these guys are some of my favorite Psychic-type Pokemon. definitely not favorite, but far from least.
     
    tune in next time to watch Squishy ramble about more stuff that no one cares about at all

    so the idea here is i’m going to draw my favorite Pokemon of each type and post a short description as to why i like them. i was going to do this before but i put it off when X and Y came out.
     
    anyway, Porygon-Z is my favorite Normal-type. i don’t know why, but i find the entire Porygon line just so endearing. they all have a certain charm about them, but Porygon-Z especially does. i love the way he spazzes out, and the fact he is an illegal hack of Porygon2 just makes him that much more awesome to me. i can’t wait for Pokemon Bank to come out so i can transfer mine(named Mr. Seizure) and play with him in Amie. =)
