Considering that "Which Toa Mangai wore the Kakama?" looks like it was finished with 50~ votes, & the others seemed to have around 100~ we're either almost there or half-way there   ^{(& it was 9 votes ahead,)}

 

You know, technically, it was open for a week, because my post to Greg still isn't approved....

Now this is something that actually makes sense to be canonized. Not saying the other recent canonizations didn't make any sense. I just felt that they were extremely unnecessary.

You gotta be joking. The other canonizations gave characterization where there previously was none. With this one... erm... I don't know what it does... It was already said that secondary elements were rarer.. By virtue of the fact that we almost never saw any says something about them... Yes they are rare.

Erm.. that.. makes a lot of sense...

HOWEVER, Greg says that they don't wear masks that promote light and peace...

Oh and before anyone asks... Greg isn't gonna let us vote on its name... Greg says he will no longer give Mata Nui Island location names to Toa.

 

I think it would basically be powerless, because the mask doesn't have any 'inner darkness'. That would be like shunning the dark from a Mask of Shadows, it doesn't have any inner light.

I think it would have to contain some sort of power in it. Because a Toa wearing a powerless Kanohi would probably be like a Toa not wearing a Kanohi at all, which results in the Toa's power being greatly weakened. And since the only beings we've seen in the story that wore Shadow Avohkii, the Shadow Takanuva, used their shadow powers in battle, we can probably assume that the Shadow Avohkii themselves have power in them as well. 

 

Powerless as in, it keeps the Toa alive and well, but doesn't have any special powers...

The Shadow Takanuva are Toa of Shadow... They don't need a mask to do what their elemental powers can do better. Same with Takanuva... He only ever used his mask like, what, once? When he tried to shine a light with his mask or something in the first BIONICLE Legends book?

They lost their elemental powers?

They do every season, but they never say why.

 

Not really. The only time it was unexplained was in the beginning of the most recent season. It's to be assumed it's because they no longer have the elemental blades, but it's not explained WHY they don't have the elemental blades.

 

Otherwise, the only time they lost their elemental powers was between episodes 13 and 14, and at that point it WAS explained — they lost them because Lord Garmadon ran off with their golden weapons.

 

Then how were they able to shoot those elemental blasts in space?

That wont happen unless someone summons a herd of fans from across the globe and force them to vote for some other option. Barely anybody voted in the time period between yesterday and today.

Well we have to end the Toa Mangai of Ice poll at one point... 

This one was open for 6 days and one day wouldn't make much of a difference.

As much as I like those EM masks, I want to use that white Kaukau I have. (But if it goes to a Toa of Stone the mask looks cooler. )

On the Toa Mangai of Ice Kanohi poll we had two fourth places... Tiebreaker time...

And to the anti-canonization crowd, this one doesn't have a "I Don't wanna know" option, because it's a tiebreaker, not a new poll. Just a continuation on another topic...

I'll be voting for the Kaukau  because I think that it would be cool to have a Toa of Ice swimming in cold waters.
