this isn't a problem in any other shooter why is it a problem in metroid?
-
that scene at the end of red dead redemption where it actually gives you a chance. ha. ha ha.
-
no. and anyone who can should be taken out back and shot by a battle droid
do you play destiny

i was reading an article and some of harvard's best scientists studied destiny and realized it was a perfect game. any criticisms are your fault tbh
-
destiny is the best game of all time and there are no valid criticisms of it other than the price tag
-
by the time you get it you're also running low on things to do, anyway.

concrete's the bomb, man. dunno what you're talking about. only gripe i have is the upgrade tree doesnt follow the same pattern the other three do, and the dash can't climb up walls so it has bad vertical movement. the thrusters didnt compensate for it. this could've been easily solved by giving delsin the same concrete spike jump that the enemies use (like the ice spike in infamous 2) and i have no idea why they didnt do that
-
yessir. 1 and 2 on ps3 and second son is on ps4
edit: so what was up with that ending oh man that was an awful ending. augustine wasnt the villain at all and delsin was so dumb for not even considering her. terrible writing that it just worked out in delsin's favor.
-
first sons were the group kessler lead in infamous 1, the ice guys were just called ice guys. but yeah that totally makes sense i cant believe i didnt pick up on it
-
my nerdrage triggered cause you thought i said they were different when i just said fo2 has more stuff
I'm talking about the inital nerdrage, not the second, auxillary nerdrage.
i dont even know what that means and it's totally okay i forgive you anyways. in any case we're spamming and b6 has a frowney face next to my name as it is so let's just drop this.
as much as i love infamous i gotta say their boss fights are so weak, mostly in 2, but i got reminded of that when i got to the first augustine battle in SS. i did like the battle against he who dwells even if it was sorta simple. i like that they aren't throwing bosses at you left and right like they did in infamous 2, made bosses feel less special. (one mission: defeat an ice titan. epic battle!! well done, take a breather. next mission: kill four ice titans.) i like this game a lot more as i get through it, but i think that it doesn't beat the first two in enough categories to be considered as good as they are. eh well, next time.
btw why is it even called second son? is it cause delsin is the younger brother? at first i thought he'd have some relation to cole but outside of a few stores cole hasn't gotten mentioned at all yet. is it just some sort of name that sounds cool but means nothing?

well one is a lot more specific
-
nerdrage is when you feel anger for something absolutely ridiculous. forum breakdowns are when you and your village destroys the building in which the public forum is held.
-
my nerdrage triggered cause you thought i said they were different when i just said fo2 has more stuff
-
i never even said they were different where did you get that

i just realized i compare these new powers to my previously, fully upgraded one, so no wonder i have these bad first impressions. i do like video's hover, it keeps you in the air for a long time. neon's dash is by far superior though. i wish there was some way to customize what power you wanted for each slot.
-
i actually hate video with a passion. invisibility is useless, the dash is too hard to control and nowhere near as useful as light speed or smoke dash, and the bolt feels a lot weaker than neon's precision.
-
neon actually grew on me. smoke still has more swag but neon is better from a gameplay perspective and looks cash in night time. btw i read somewhere after you beat the game you can toggle permanent night, is that true? cause that one night mission was so gorgeous i can't imagine i'd ever turn it off if that was the case
sort of triggering my nerd rage because i said fallout 2 has more content, which isn't a matter of opinion at all, it's a matter of there are more quests and locations and weapons. the mechanics are the exact same, so i can see why you'd say that they're similar, but what i said is fallout 2 has more stuff and no time limit which is 100% undeniably true. and the reason you start off with a good gun in fallout 1 is because you beat the game the same day, lol
-
you can beat fallout 1 in about four hours and then the time limit is gone so dont let that worry you at all. also there's basically nothing to do in that game after you beat it so just beat it and move on to fallout 2 which actually has content in it.
-
i don't like the neon power, aiming for the legs feels wrong
-
picked up infamous second son. love the aesthetic of the game and it's certainly one of the most beautiful games i've ever played. delsin is a sort of lame protag, though. maybe i'll come to like him more as i get further into it.
-
its structured like an MMO but doesnt play like one. i can see why they struggled to describe it for so long.
@cykron: i feel you, not everybody is about the grind and if you aren't it can def bring down your mood. i don't mind farming and grinding so i'm gonna enjoy the next few weeks hunting down my first set of legendary gear.
-
I actually threw out my copy of destiny last week. I played it for a month and finally realized what a horrible waste of time It was. I want to be rewarded by being skilled, not randomly assigned weapons that can drop for anybody in the raid party.
you have TEN SECONDS to name a video game that isn't a complete waste of time. destiny at the very least is crazy fun. play PVP, it's the best source of gear anyway. well i guess you cant since you threw it out lol. but you bought the expansions? you threw away a game you spent $100 on? man you really don't like it
Yeah, it's really fun at first but slowly transitions into a complete grind after the firsts few months.
dont mind. played enough MMOs to realize the importance of the grind
@above: in my opinion speedrunning and streamers in general contribute to the stereotype that video games are a culture that should be celebrated instead of just a hobby.

what you watching, what do you wanna watch, what is your favourite show, talk about it all here.
to get the ball rolling: who here watches hannibal and who else was disappointed by
his arrest?
-
destiny is the most fun game ever but only a week in and i can already tell the content is gonna dry up soon. shame.
