  1.

Thanks for the help; when I left, the battle in Ko was past the point of no return, so it looks like the Dasaka being kidnapped was all I missed.

...I should really start posting as Moeru again.

EDIT: Speaking of which, can someone do me an even bigger favor and fill me in on what has become of Moeru since my unexpected hiatus started? Did he get bunnied along into being kidnapped, or the rescue attempt, or what? :a: :k: :i:

Strictly speaking, there was no kidnapping. Three Dasaka and one Mata Nuian were invited to Labelle's house in Ga-Koro, and subsequently drugged. One, Dakte, evaded this and has been fighting her. The rest of the shore party just broke down Labelle's door, so that'll be resolved very shortly.

As for where Moeru is, no bunnying has been done. He would either be on the sub, or in Ga-Koro as part of the shore party, in which case, his actions for the last half hour or so in game are up to  you.

Thanks again for the help. Guess it's time for me to start posting again.

  3. So I unexpectedly left town Friday afternoon and just got back home. In those 44-ish hours, I've received 579 notifications from the three RPG topics I follow. Anyone care to tell me what in the I missed?

As a side note, why do you people only ever do stuff when I'm not home?

  4.

InB4 Vezon is a seperate character from the one who was separated from Vezok in cannon.

never. there will never be a character introduced into this game by the staff or by players with the traits, backstory, abilities, or name of vezon. ever.

    -Tyler

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  5. I'm surprised if no one else sees the obvious inspiration of the archipelago by the three-finger island concept.

I had a theory a while back that the GSR did exist; it involved the five major islands of the Archipelago being five fingers on a hand. It was immediately shot down.

    Ah, good times.

    :a::k::i:

  6. for vezon to be around, vezok would need to be split in half, which, since vezok is a character in this game and no spear of fusion exists in this game, has not been done.

    no vezon. case closed.

. I was really hoping(and expecting)he would pop up eventually.

  7. IC(Ignitus(on board the Inika)):

I stepped back from my work, satisfied.

As I set aside the dark red paint, I looked at what had been Gravus' armor prior to his death. It was much lighter than mine, easier to maneuver in.

More importantly, I didn't see myself wearing it while I murdered entire cities every time I went to sleep.

The idea had occured to me the night before, after waking up from another dream. I had to hope that I would have them less the more I distance myself from anything related to my time before Mata Nui.

After I changed into the armor, leaving my old armor in a heap in the corner, I looked at a mirror. Where once had stood a Toa in armor of bright crimson, scarlet, and silver, there was now a being in lighter armor of black and crimson. My mask had changed too, from its previous scarlet to a darker shade of red.

I stuffed my old armor - Ausar's armor - into an empty barrel and left it amidst the rest of our emptied supplies.

I dared to hope Ausar's memory would stay with it.

  8. So while we're on the topic of Dasaka:

We've heard in the Chapter II opening that the Dasaka had legends of "being as colorful as Janu birds who wielded the powers to manipulate nature"(or something along those lines), meaning Toa, but is the reverse recorded anywhere? Did Mata Nuians have any knowledge, however ancient and disregarded, of the Dasaka prior to their first IC appearance in Chapter I?

  9. So I was thinking about Parakuka the other day, while at the same time theorizing on possible ways to make Antidermis even more interesting, and then the two things collided into a single idea: what would happen if a Parakuka were to be given Antidermis before getting a host? Would the Parakuka gain more influence in the bond? Would it be able to bestow new abilities on the host? I can think of several ways this could go, but I wanted to get the thoughts of someone else.

  10. Remember when they shut down the old websites and I said they might be making rooms for a new Bionicle website, and then everyone told me I was crazy?

WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, HUH? ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN, SO WE CAN RIDE THE HYPE TO PLANET HYPE AND THEN GET HYPED SO MUCH THAT WE ALL HYPE INTO A MASSIVE PILE OF RADIOACTIVE HYPE!!!!1!!!1!!!!

    :a::k::i:

  11.

Or maybe this is just a game played by biological beings sitting in front of magic boxes tapping on plastic buttons.

    Pfft that's ridiculous.

Dude, you've been drinking way too much of that Ga-Koro water.
That can't be right. I'm in the Bionicle Bermuda Triangle.

That Ga-Koro water gets REALLY far out there, maaan.

    ocean currents and whatnot.

Oh yeah, it drifts out there and mixes with the pit mutagen out there in the triangle, and becomes even nastier. The Piraka drank some of it; that's why they're all insane.

    Correction: The result was Antidermis.

Antidermis: 50% pit mutagen, 50% questionable Ga-Koro water. We now know the secrets of Makuta's servants.

  12. Hmmm... Exactly how powerful is the Forgetful Fog? Is it an instant, total, irreversible memory wipe, or weak enough to leave vague, hazy recollections, or somewhere in between? Or maybe, like real drugs, it varies and no two cases are exactly the same? Really any would give a rather... interesting angle to write if any pre-Fog gameplay occured.

  13. IC(Ignitus, Rerus, and Xadah(on board the Inika)):

For the first time since I'd met him, Xadah didn't appear to have a drop of liquor in his system. When sober, I realized, he was actually pretty clever.

Rerus, on the other hand, was just like he always tended to be: a stone, stoic and unchanging. Were this most card games, that would worry me, but this was one where showing emotion probably wouldn't be too disadvantageous.

Speaking of which, I thought to myself, who in Karzahni invented this game anyway?

I had never been a huge fan of card games - they usually involved gambling, and money was one thing I generally didn't have much of - but sailing through an empty and seemingly infinite ocean, boredom tends to get the better of you. Thus, when JL had presented us with a something to break the monotony, I had been quick to agree.

That's not the real reason, a part of me said.

The nightmares had been getting worse; they came whenever I slept now. The last one had shown, in gruesome detail, a torturous prison run by Radriar's men. That had been three days before.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the rest of the crew realized how sparingly I'd been sleeping, or worse, until it caused a dangerous mistake on my part. I needed sleep; I remembered how good it felt to stop worrying and just rest. At the same time, though, I couldn't bring myself to face the memories it brought forth.

I forced all that out of my mind; I was here for a simple game of cards.

I heard JL tell us time was up, thus snapping me back to reality. I hastily picked a card - The secret sauce - and revealed it. Likewise Xadah and Rerus revealed their cards - A copy of "A Gentleman's Guide to Ga-Koro" and The real deal, respectively.

it, JL, what have you done?

OOC: I'll edit in a Moeru post later tonight for the Dasaka expedition.

  14. When in doubt, werebear. Screw moon phases. I then maul you, swallow the mask whole, run into an undiscovered cave, and regurgitate the mask before transforming back into a human and arming myself with an invisible revolver, which I had hidden in the cave with a stockpile of assorted invisible weaponry.

    My mask.

  15. My two halves merge back into me, and I then turn into a normal dude. Thus, I leave, organize and pull off a massive bank heist, and use this money to purchase nuclear weapons and invent(and patent)time travel. I then travel back in time to before you teleported to chop me in half, and blow you up. Future me and werebear me then form an alliance.

    Pupwa's mask for now.

  16. IC(Moeru, Rida, NPC Messenger(Iki)):

    "No."

    "Yes."

    "Absolutely not."

"Rida, I'm never going to get another chance like this. I'm going."

"You have a job to do, Moeru. A job here, on Iki. I'm your Toroshu, and I say no."

"You may be my Toroshu, but you're also my little sister. You can't make me stay here."

"With all due respect, Toroshu Rida, this isn't your choice. The expedition needs a crew, and it's too late to get replacements."

    "Shut up!"

We were in my sister's home, where I'd been working as usual. The poor messenger had arrived at least fifteen minutes earlier to notify me that it was time to go to the docks to begin the expedition, and had been forced to stand by a listen to our bickering over the matter ever since. Now, I turned to him.

"Tell the Commodore I'll be there shortly. I just need to take care of something."

As the messenger exited the door, I turned back to Rida. She fell into a chair, weary.

    "Why?"

    There was a short pause.

She looked back up at me. "Why did you wait until now to tell me about any of this?"

I shrugged. "To avoid this conversation as long as possible.

After the ensuing storm of fists and screams, Rida fell back into the chair, even more tired than before.

"Don't worry," I said, "I'm sure you can find someone else who can do my job just as good as me, a sword-for-hire or something. Mamoru will be fine."

"I'm not worried about Mamoru, I'm worried about you. What if Mata Nui is just a nest full of being like the Chaotic Six? They'll tear you apart! You'll become a meal!"

"I don't think it is," came my reply. "But even if it is, I think you're grossly underestimating my abilities. After all, I didn't become your bodyguard for no reason."

"You were appointed to be my bodyguard because you were my brother, and all my other options were even more insufferable than you are."

"Granted, but I can still take care of myself. Who knows? There's a decent chance the inhabitants of this place, whoever they may be, will pay some nice prices for some good Mamoru crystal."

"Well," she sighed, resigned, "just promise me you won't get yourself killed."

"That won't be a problem. I'll see you when we get back."

As I stepped out the door, I looked back at my sister one last time and gave a final nod, which was returned.

    :a::k::i:

Upon nearing the docks, I couldn't help but wonder. Wonder what lay between us and Mata Nui. Wonder what lay on Mata Nui. Wonder how many of those who set out would return. Wonder if there would be war or peace between us and them.

Wonder if I could keep my promise.

Well, too late to back out now. I approached the submersible.

    Mata Nui, here I come.

OOC: No, I don't know why the last part is back, it's supposed to be navy like the rest of Moeru's stuff. So... I guess we'll all just have to deal with it.
