Toa (12/293)

  1. IC: Thelis "Why for tea, what else?" I felt a shiver travel through my apprehensive core. The inflection of those words made me think that there was a deeper thinking behind it. I coughed and decided to follow the tea subject. "So, do you make tea often?"
  2. IC: Detrix The drunken de-toa felt little pains all over his face. It felt like someone was slapping him. He opened his eyes in a drowsy fashion. He saw a female skakdi standing before him, slapping him repeatedly in the face. "Zero, is that really you?" Detrix asked the blurry attacker.
  3. IC: Thelis I watched Sirus take a seat. He was eyeing me with what seemed like curiosity. Scanning the beautiful home, I noticed plenty of blue and green hues lighting the interior. There was what seemed like a seat set across from the frail toa. I sauntered over, looking at the idols that were strewn about the wooden abode. The seat was hard, but it was more comfortable than the stumps and branches I was used to settling in for the past few... how much time has passed since I started living in the forest? I shook my head, trying to remove the thoughts from my mind. I looked back up to see those vibrant and intelligent eyes piercing my head. I needed to break this silence. "So... what's the table for?"
  4. IC: Thelis The water sloshed around my feet. I could feel different aquatic organisms both animal and plant either retreating from each descent of my foot or coiling towards my limbs. The darkness revealed the smaller airborne organisms fluttering around the small swamp and illuminating their almost miniscule limbs. A small fly of some sort decided to annoy me. I swatted at it, hearing the small sound of my hand making contact with its compact body. I heard a small splash from the carcass being submerged with velocity from its fall. "Welcome," Sirus said. I slipped past the toa, lowering my stature, ducking under the entrance into the tree. There was definitely a different feel in the wooden cave. Like there were other presences that were not of this world. Some of them ethereal, some hellish.
  5. IC: Thelis I hesitated. Did I trust this man? He did just convert me in a few short minutes, so I guess there is some level of trust. If he does decide to bite, I could probably take him. I smile and start to follow Sirus through the jungle. It had been a while since I used the ground to get to my destination. The roots reached for my feet and the branches showed their superiority with their elevation. I couldn't help but feel at peace at the moment. The warm jungle air and the sounds of wildlife surrounding us, it made me in my entirety feel alive. Life is such a beautiful thing, I just prefer to see its beauty leaving the eyes of my victims. OOC: Sorry for taking so long to reply!
  6. IC Thelis I thought about what the slim Sirus said. These gods seemed so much more real. So much more involved than Mata-Nui and Makita. Even if there was more solid evidence for the latter two, I found my self buying into what this teacher was teaching and telling. I forfeited my pride and took to one knee. "I vow to serve your gods for as long as I shall live."
  7. IC Detrix The hulking De-Toa rolled over onto his front, coming to his senses. He then attempted to get up, but found that he was still in a drunken state. "Good," he said to himself. He stumbled to his feet with the help of a bar stool. He was surprised to see that the stool was occupied, wasn't that his seat? His eyes followed the pair of legs to the head of the body. There was a su-skakdi sitting there. Detrix gasped. "Zero! Is that you?" Detrix found it somewhat easier to regain his footing, but he still leaned on the bar and angled himself so he could look at Zero. "Aw, sister, you have aged like a fine wine! I think that's a compliment, I could never afford wine myself," the drunken Toa said, slurring even his giggle.
  8. IC Detrix "I see..." Detrix weighed his decissions. "Meh, I'll probably be broke by the end of tonight anyways." Detrix grabbed the bottle and started swallowing scotch. It was going well, until the drunken Detrix felt his stomach start to get upset. After what seemed like forever, Detrix swallowed the last drop and slammed the bottle onto the ground. "Hcheu hcheu, guess I win!" The drunken de-Toa then proceed to descend downwards and into the floor with a solid thump.
  9. IC: Detrix 'Brother' It had been a while since he had been called that. He smiled to himself and laughed. "Well, brother, how much do you bet that I can't chug that bottle," Detrix challenged.
  10. IC Zealot The toa leaned back in minor shock "Sounds like a karz of an ordeal" he took another swig staring for a long while. Finally shaking off his self pity, he turned to the other Ko Toa "so tell me brother, what brings you to the company of Outsiders like me?" IC Yeri "glad ta hyeer et loddie," he smiled "As fayer as Zero goes, as far as I new she stall runs this place" he said, cleaning the stein "ha'nt seen har in wiyell thoo" IC Detrix "Well, I hope to see her soon. It's been a while. Hey, actually, I think I need to get back into my senses. I need to be on the top of my game, right?" Detrix slapped his hand on the counter. "I'm too sober right now, my dear bar-tender! Hit me up with some real strong stuff!" Detrix's voice boomed with a loud laugh.
  11. IC: Thelis "Sirus," I repeat to myself. "I am Thelis," I reply, shaking the slim outstretched hand. I could feel the energy coursing through Sirus' body. It was like nothing I have ever felt. It wasn't just power, it was control. It was almost as if he had the power of spirits running through him. Almost as if Sirus was in direct contact with the gods... "So," I say, letting go of the limb. "Who are these gods you speak of?"
  12. IC Yeri, Yeri brought the stein back around "Tis indeed that," he smiled "Now take a swig, and tell me wutchya t'ink" IC Detrix Detrix took a swig and shuddered at the beautiful taste. "Oh my. This is wonderful!" The De-Toa guffawed and took another sip. "You, sir, know how to make a toa happy," he said. "Now friend, do you think you could tell me if Zero still runs this joint?" Detrix looked into his glass.
  13. IC: Detrix Obsidian Outpost "Ah! Many thanks, brother!" Detrix was happy to find another appreciator of alcohol. Detrix looked around more intently this time, he noticed that not everyone seemed to be a 'chuckle head'. He turned back towards Yeri. "Tell me, friend, is this the Outsiders' bar?" Detrix looked down at his hand as he awkwardly twiddled his thumbs.
  14. IC: Thelis Honestly? I kind of figured that there was someone or something watching me. And it wasn't like someone judging me for my sins, it was like someone telling me that I'm doing the right thing. Like some voice deep inside my head. Hearing that I wasn't going crazy was relieving. "I mean, if these gods you're talking about like this stuff," I motioned at the corpse, "I'm happy to do more." I smiled at my new ally. Ally. That's something I haven't thought of in a while. Then I realized I have no idea what this guy's name is and who are these gods? How am I supposed to serve someone or a group of theological beings of great power if I don't know what their names are? "So, who are you again? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours first."
  15. IC: Thelis I heard the clacking of bones behind me. Whipping around, I see a slender toa creeping towards me, staff in hand. His eyes are piercing. I am entranced by the very being of this... bird? What is on his face? Or is that his face? "You do good work. The gods are quite pleased." What is this cook going on about? I'm pleasing gods? "Last time I checked, Mata-Nui wasn't a big fan of people cutting up one another for fun." I then realize something terrible. He saw me commit my sin. I leap off of the corpse and create distance between myself and the masked man. My jagged sword has been drawn and is now pointed at the bird-man. "Listen, Birdie, I'm gonna warn ya once; don't come any closer or I will slash you apart. And I swear to... myself... that if I find out you've told the authorities about me, I will hunt you down and add you to my collection!" On the last word I motion towards my sash.
