Will there be a 3D printed version we could buy and order?
I could probably upload it on shapeways?
-
Hey! A friend of mine drew a Chain Lightning Rahkshi staff. I tought it was really cool, and simple enough to try to make a 3D model of it, so I did.
I made this using Sketchup, it took me somewhere between 1,5 - 2 hours to make.
Original scetch by: Katuko
So what do you guys think? does it look like a Chain Lightning tool? Does it cool? Could anything be done better?
Any feedback is appreciated feedback! ^^- 8

Great job, much better then how mine turned out a few years ago. The paint just peeled off, creating a removable rubber shell. Y'know,it's been a while, maybe I should try again, who knows, maybe it will turn out as good as thine's (maybe even Modalt's, but that might be pushing it).
it's fun, so why not
Good luck!

Thats pretty awesome! Does the paint come off easily?
thanks! I have barely moved the mask and treated it very carefully so I don't know for sure, but I think it sticks pretty well
That looks really good! The infection comes across nicely, if somebody came upon this by accident they would know that it was infected.
thank you! that was what I intended to make

Hi!
I tried painting my first mask, and wanted to know what people think about it. Any feedback is appreciated!
I started painting it dark red, and then tried to make it look infected, but I'm not sure what to make of it.
I have more photos of the mask at my Flickr!

Stanley came to an elevator and went up to get to the boarding room.
(this is so epic when reading with the narrators voice)
-
On his way to the board room he came to a corridor with two doors. Stanley entered the door on his left.

Looks and feels like Kopaka, so I'd say it's a pretty cool model. I don't know if it would make him bether, but it would be cool to see him with some small armour pieces. Also I think his knees and elbows looks a bit wide, and I think you should try using this piece for the limbs, and maybe remove the leg extenders? But overall, I do really like it!

Eccleston is for sure a good Doctor. His season may not be the best, but it's definitly worth watching if you like Doctor Who. And as Pomegranate mentioned this season has some extremely good episodes, like those he mentioned.

Onua?
It's someone who wears a Miru and knows how to ride a gukko

I think it looks a lot bether now. Great improvement
Also I don't know if it was intended or not, but the protectors in the background was a really nice touch for the photo.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kinds words. TurteX, the Skull Slaves aren't bad guys but creations of the shaman that do his bidding. I'll hold off on making real enemies for them until the summer enemies come out. As for the flying guy, I really like that he sort of looks like a flying monkey. I don't know how to make it better while keeping that look. Any help would be appreciated.
I just think it looks a bit odd that his legs are attatched to his arms, and that his body doesn't seem very compressed or detailed. Personally I think you should try to build him again from scratch. That's just my opinion tough, if you like him you can off course keep gim that way
And sorry for the missunderstanding, I didn't notice it was text under the pictures

I am very amazed! The mix of color schemes makes them feel fresh in a unique and creative way, and their designs are also very good! The protectors look just looks extremely well, even bether than the original sets in my opinion. Also the skull warrioris looks solid, and feels like a great enemy for the protectors. The 'crawler' guy looks pretty cool and the two guns make him look dangerous and tops his design. however, the skull bird doesn't look very finnished, and need alot more work I think.
But overall these are really good Moc's! I really like them. I might even try to make those myself

It looks awesome! Definitly feels like a big daddy from Bioshock

Oh man, you really used the sunlight in a great way! good photos!
taking advantage of the few hours of Canadian sunlight to snap some gooduns.
there isn't much sun here in Norway either
also the proto(?) guy looks really cool. It actually feels more or less like an actuall prototype set.

Cool and simple!
Not much to say about it, other than that I liked the first one bether than the slim version. Also if you bend his knees he would probably look cooler in terms of posing.
Good job!

I doubt this would ever happened, but I think it would be pretty cool if they released a wave with 6 classic enimies, like example: one Bohrok, one Rahkshi and so on...
-
This looks amazing! defenitly a lot cooler than the colors for the original model. I like how the scratches and details make evertyhing look like metal, which gives him a more bio-mechanical feel and a bether look just in general.
however, since the bone pieces isn't paintet, they look a bit out or propotion in my opinion, since they are shining while the painted armor pieces aren't. also the bright green on the chest armor piece looks a bit odd compared to the darker green on everything else.
but overall I think it looks great! It's definitly a lot bether than the original model. Good job!

Looks cool, definitly feels like Onua
his arms looks way too short compared to his legs tough, otherwise I like it.
I see what you mean, what piece do you think I should use to fix it?
I don't know, maybe a set of rahkshi arms will do it? Another thing you could try is making his body slightly shorter and use bohrok arms as legs, but then he might ending up looking like a bohrok, so... I don't know... try experimenting with different pieces.

I first discovered it at a store, there I asked my parents if I could have one, and the rest is history...

I can both read and write it, quite fun actually. sometimes when I'm bored during class, I usually write something in the matoran alphabet that no one else except me can read.
and for everybody who don't know it: It's very easy to learn, and it isn't time consuming at all. Didn't take me more than 20 minutes or so. Definitly worth it!

Hi, I noticed today that one of my silver Kaukaus look slightly different. I have 3, where 2 of them are identical, and one that stands out a little bit. It's a bit hard to capture on picture, it looks more clear irl, but I tried. it's a lot more clear when you shine a light trough them.
I tried looking it up, but couldn't find anything. I'm guessing it's probably nothing special, just a variation, but thought to check it out just in case. sorry if I wasted your time
