    Good Timing

    Coincidences are fun. This morning, BZP's front page announced that I'd be joining the staff here. This evening, my dying phone ate the phone numbers of every BZP member I had in there.
     
    I maintain that this is not a "message from the universe". A better conspiracy theory: AT&T has plans to launch their own competing Bionicle fansite and wants to leave the competition in disarray.

    I figured I'd start yet another blog here, because I can. BZPower seems to be a central point for a few things I like in the FOL community, so I might as well set up an outlet for myself here while I'm a Premier member after this past year's convention circuit (not that I know what other special things I can do yet while "Premier").
     
    Not that I actually need or have time for another blog. I started (and still "run") one of the longer-running FOL blogs (LMOTD), but that's much more public facing and in a bit of disrepair. I kind of like the idea of having a blog that faces a smaller, more active portion of the FOL community instead of being in front of however many thousand people.
     
    Not that I have much to say here at the moment. Erm, "Hello".

    It's now official enough to talk about: I'm starting an exciting new job at Comcast in Philadelphia on October 15th. In some ways, it's a big step up after a lengthy rough patch, but in other ways, it's a logical next step after the end of my time at Talari Networks in 2013. I was overdue for a sane career move and it couldn't have come at a better time.
     
    In related news, I'd currently be up for roommates or crash space in the Philadelphia area. I figure I need to start with some temporary arrangements until I can find a place to move into permanently. I'll still be paying a mortgage in Camp Hill until after I've secured a house (or equivalent) within reasonable commuting distance of Center City.

    New Phone, Who Dis?

    I had to get my cell phone replaced today. Because of how the old one died, I lost many old text messages and saved contacts. You might want to try texting me to see if you made the cut or not (I think it may have something to do with which year I added you to the "Address Book").
