  1. I think ebay has these prices beacuse casual buyers are not aware of bricklink and bzpower exsistence. Collectors like you and me are more likely to know of bricklink and bzpower trade section and would never buy from ebay if something can be found in other ways. Instead, casual buyers are more likely to spend money because they think the things you see on eBay are the only things you can find anywhere. Anyway I did some search on bricklink and found out that prices for TMN are approx. the same than on ebay.Still unsure, anyway thank you very much for your reply
  2. I know that my topics are useless, but I did forget to ask you in the last Bionicle 8998 Mata Nui topic. I am considering to sell TMN. Before you ask: sorry, cannot sell it via bzp, I can only sell it in my country because shipping costs from here are absurd, and it would have a negative impact on TMN final price...I am terribly sorry, I would have loved to sell it to one of you instead of selling it to someone who will give it half the love you will So, please be sincere Ebay prices:new for 400-450$ Ebay sold listings:almost always used for 120-150$ Appearance on ebay:approx. one per month My TMN conditions:ultra-hyper-super-mega neat box, new sealed TMN Please write: 1)Your best offer if you were Scrooge McDuck 2)Your best offer if you were a normal person 3)Your best offer if you were an eccentric sheik/totally unsober (the two things correspond) Thank you all in advance!!!
  3. I do not agree,I mean-I agree that these do not sell anymore to the great public, but who remained with the bionicle passion would buy them.Personally I don't care about sets older than 2004 because I am looking only for my childhood arc-time ones, and I am not willing to spend all of my money,I try only to find the cheapest offers. But as you can see all over this forum, people would spend 2-3000$ for a rare krana, and although I do not agree with this,it means that no matter how many people still want a bionicle,if there is still one fan left, the rarer it is,the bigger the price, the higher the possibility of selling
  4. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-bionicle-sterling-silver-krana-kal-mask-72-72-SSKK-Rarest-Piece-Ever-/201047879434?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item2ecf632f0a&_uhb=1#shpCntId hmmmm...I think this guy is a little high on price. Hope he is none of you
  5. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1e90fb I had to create an account on dailymotion, anyway here it is!sorry for bad video quality
  6. do you remember that strange box I had shown in an old topic of mine?I mean this box: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/11809-what-is-this-bionicle-set/ Well it came out from the discussion that it was a promotional 2001 bionicle box. Today I was handling with it and I noticed it was a bit too heavy. It seemed very strange to me, so I decided to risk everything and try to dissect the box without damaging it.15 minutes later, this is what I found out: YES! I WAS RIGHT! So I changed the batteries, and this is what happened: The red lights sequentially switch on and off clockwise, and the green eyes stay on. When you close the box a sensor automatically switches off the lights. Do you remeber that on the box there was written:"remove the mask if you dare!"? Well, that phrase was there for a reason!!!!In fact, when you remove the mask, another sensor senses that you have pulled the pakari off, and a voice says: "BIONICLE:find the power!" This is a more expanded view of it: Please link to images over 500 kB. -B6 As you can seeI have folded some protective wrap around every paper part, as I do not want to put the box parts back in place, I think I could be damaging that. I think I will be staring at this thing for at least two or three days more without eating or sleeping
  7. No I am comparing pearl green lehrak and pearl white kuhrak with the other four rakshi...the other four are not pearl-coloured at all, they are straight red, blue, black and brown,no sign of pearl colouration
  8. I perfectly agree with you,i do not see the point of collecting stuff and keeping it closed. In fact if I keep it closed,it is because the set is very rare and maybe I could make some money from it one day
  9. I recently bought Lehrahk and Kuhrak, and they are from the US...they have one particular feature:they are pearl white and pearl green. But my EU versions are not pearl-coloured.Does anyone know if the US and EU versions differ in colour?
  10. what the...??? is that thing legal?does Lego let Decool copy its products??????I do't think it would. What's the relationship between lego and decool?
  11. Ok, let's start by saying that I have had a 7-8 latency period in which I almost forgot my bionicles. One day I started searching study material on wikipedia, and ended up on Bionicle ;so I tought:"wow bionicle, I did not rember I had them":open old toys box, watch them half-built, stuff like that. And then...I find out they made a set named Mata Nui. "Oh, my god, Mata Nui .MATA NUI IS NOW A SET.The divinity I adored when I was 8 yo is a robot! I MUST have it."I came across this set and, considering how much it costed I had no doubts and bought it, so the gold ignika is ok, but the guy who wears it amazes me too. I am not that kind of person that collects this stuff and displays it, I am not a collector, I do not care about paper box, instructions, MISB,MIB or stuff like that, I just want that big guy. In other circumstances, I would have opened it without thinking twice, only because my inner child still adores him But I don't know...I paid it a very low price...I mean, on ebay a MISB TMN it costs 400-600$, 300-500$ more than what I bought it for. This is the problem. What's your opinion? You think I'll get older with this box closed, when there will be no more market for bionicle, blaming myself for not opening that box when it could still satisfy me, or will this become a near-unique piece, so that I can say to myself "Do NOT bypass the filter. -B6 yeah"? Little precisation:I think It will become a near-unique piece indeed , but I mean unique
  12. Now it' s my time to ask if it is a deadly sin to open a box. And it will be far mooooooore difficult than deciding whether to open a makuta teridax or not. Some time ago, I bought a MISB Toa Mata nui for about 100$. I don't know what to do with it.I am tempted to wait for the occasion to buy a used, non boxed version for myself, and keep mine packaged, waiting for better times to sell it,considering the fact I am not very happy about the idea af spending 80-100 more dollars. But I swear, the very idea that in that box there is a golden Ignika drives every time my hand on the seal... Suggestions, please!!
  13. AAAAGH! LOOK WHAT THIS GUY WAS SELLING! http://www.ebay.com/itm/291086212886?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648 http://www.ebay.com/itm/291086214458?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  14. hi, I just wondered...the bohrok default krana that you could find in every bohrok canister were all identical or a random krana was put in every container? I know that they are of the same color for each bohrok, I mean if they had the same form too
  15. oh sorry I didn't know that
  16. hi all, I was just asking how much could the power pack matoran with its disk and the chrome hau cost, because I'm trying to find any sold listing but I cannot find anyone who sold it recently....thanks
  17. Can I ask you how much the vahi would cost, please?
  18. Thanks Anyway, I am sorry but it is not for sale at the moment. You know, I know it can sound stupid, but when I was a child, I was amazed by bionicles. I mean, everyone in this forum argues whether old or new bionicles are better. Personally I think that new bionicle might be even better articulated, better built etc etc....but the very first ones were simply amazing. Not because of the action figure itself, they were pretty simple, but the idea was extremely fascinating. Six "gods" of elements in a misterious island with exotic locations...simply wow!I thought that I spent half of my childhood imagination only to figure how this island could be like and who this robots could be. And every time I watch this box, I remember this. I could say it has become my anti-stress box. I know that I have grown up and maybe I could make some money with this, but bionicle have more a personal than an economical value to me. If I am gonna end up selling it however, you will be the first ones to know
  19. oh well I did not know makuta's servants were able to repair him, that's a good point. I thought they had an intelligence slightly bigger than a Rahi and could not figure how they could mantain a giant robot
  20. Seriously, how? So, I read the story, so maybe I know it very roughly, but if Teridax's plan was to get Mata Nui's body, he did know that he needed to take care of the inhabitants of that body to stay alive?what's the sense of taking control of that body and then enslave them?I mean, let's pretend that they kept mantaining and fixing him because killing Teridax's body would have killed them too...but treating them like slaves does not seem to be such a good idea if you want to stay alive...It is like I start poisoning myself and expecting my cells to do their best to save me! only because he has to play the role of the bad guy, it does not mean he has to be completely dumb.. P.s.:sorry i did not know that the word i-d-i-o-t could not be used, and it automatically changed it with "cool dude"
  21. Well, if LEGO sent these things to stores I don't think it is extremely rare as the article le says. The only things that could make it rare is the impossibility to find it anywhere,I think. On the other side,I think something like this would be nearly impossibile to sell,as so many ignore its existance...I mean, how can you even search for it on google? Even I came across it by chance Onua was promoted a bit more than Tahu back when BIONICLE first started. He had a bigger image than the rest of the Toa on the flyers that came with other LEGO sets in 2001, and I recall a few Wal-Mart store displays where Onua was the only Toa on the sign. I don't know exactly why they promoted him out of the other Toa, given how little story relevance he had later on and how he was pretty much no one's favorite Toa (except mine), but the point is Onua was kind of the bonkles poster boy back in the day. Come to think on it,it could be possibile...being at that time the bionicle something different from the other lego creations, Onua was the most peculiar of the six
  22. Yes, it comes off...it is just a container cap identical to the ones that were on the first bionicle capsules, but with a little screw to hold it in position. Anyway, if it was for promoting bionicles why did they put onua's mask on it??? I mean, when I was a child, I would have given my life for tahu's mask, not onua's...
  23. yeah, I thought it could be something like that...there is no model ID or any other thing...and it seems exactly something you display in a shop....well, I guess that not being able to find additional info, I have my answer. Thank you very much for your help, Tazakk.
