  1. IC Jevix After waiting a while, Jevix decided to stop waiting for someone to solve his problems. He was gonna take matters into his own hands! Thus, he went on to harvest some plants he could use in construction of a boat. After a few hours of this, he decided he had enough for his current purposes, and set out to gather some more resources. He decided he would need some tar, which he could probably get in ta-koro. Unfortunately, it was going to be a long way, so he decided to see if he could find some mode of transport. He quickly found a gukko rider, who he convinced to let him ride along, and drop him off at ta-koro. OOC Jevix to ta-koro
  2. IC Jevix Jevix strolled into ga-koro, yelling "Buying a boat! Anyone selling?" After his ride down Mount Ihu, Jevix just wanted to find someone who would sell him a decent watercraft. Dejected, he sat down on a public bench, and waited to see if anyone would answer his call. OOC Please let Jevix know if you will sell him a boat! It would be much appreciated!
  3. IC Jevix After finishing a new addition to his tool, Jevix packed up his satchel and got his sled. He was going on a trip to ga-koro. After all, who would be better at making a boat than the ones who live on the water? With that in mind, Jevix opened the door, and stepped out into the freezing cold. The sun was just setting, and a blizzard was starting to materialize. He closed and locked his door, and then set out to the edge of the village. He was going to go on one heck of a sled ride, down mount Ihu to ga-koro. With luck, he would have enough to buy a boat, and be able to gather the materials he would need in ga-koro. When he finally reached the edge of his village, he threw down his sled, and flopped down onto it. Then, he pulled down his goggles, and pushed off with his feet. It was going to be a long night... OOC Jevix to Ga-koro
  4. IC Jevix shivered as a cold wind blew through his workshop. It wasn't the cold that bothered him though. It was the piraka. Recently, their forces had been massing off the coast of his village, and it didn't rub well with him. Although he had always tried to stay out of large conflicts in the past, it didn't look like he had much of a choice this time. He might actually have to fight. This worried him, yet there was nothing he could do about it. Or wait... Maybe there was? With newfound determination, he brought his hammer down...
  5. Name-Jevix (Ye-vicks) Species-Ko-matoran Mask-Kanohi Pehkui, Mask of Diminishment Gender-Male Description-A relatively short matoran, whose main color is white, but has splashes of light blue and gray. The mask of Diminishment is stylized, and also has a telescopic lens built in. Power/Weapons-Being a Ko-matoran, Jevix has passive abilities, mainly resistance to cold. He owns a device that has multiple tools contained within, one of those being a compressed gas cannon for self-defense. Tools-Jevix's tools are within the aforementioned device, which consist of basic items used for engineering and general repairs. Weaknesses-Being a Ko-matoran, Jevix looses strength around extreme heat. He also isn't a very good swimmer, and can't take too much physical abuse, being a matoran. Alliance-Generally, Jevix just wants peace, and will fight for what he feels is morally right. History-Jevix is just an engineer. However, wanting peace and not wanting to risk anything, he has stayed out of major conflicts in the past, and hung low. Personality and traits-Being an engineer, Jevix is good at building, and loves to solve practical problems. He is good natured, and doesn't hold hostility towards anyone unless they get under his nerves. He loves to help others, but isn't the most brave soul. Overall however, he is friendly and just wants to live his life in peace.
  6. I'm wasting my time by video gaming and schoolwork. Fortunately, my family has a vacation to Florida in January, so I will be buying several of the sets when I go. I also spam lego customer services with questions about bionicle 2015. Other than that, I sit and stare out a window for hours on end thinking about those sets.
  7. Well, I have checked out my epoxy/friction adder setup, and it works. With a little more fine tuning and precision, this could seriously work. EDIT: This is an instructable I have made on the joint. Keep in mind this is my first attempt and will be trying again in a more clean way. http://m.instructables.com/id/Bionicle-Joint-Fix/
  8. You know, what about using friction adders and epoxy? If you sand off the fragile cup on the bionicle joint, and sand the friction adder to just the ball cup, you could join them with epoxy and it would hopefully be pretty sturdy... This wouldn't really be much of a solution to moc'ers since the friction adder would be gray, and that could conflict with the color scheme, but for people who like to play with their sets or get all twitchy with the broken ball joints(that's me!), it could be a real life saver. The only issues I could see would be the epoxy not being strong enough, the added weight of the epoxy, the added bulk of the epoxy, and the largeness of the reinforced ball joint, as they sometimes conflict with certain parts (such as the piece used for jaller inika's legs, and lewa phantoka's arms). I will probably actually try doing this after I finish some of my homework. EDIT: I have begun with this, and it is actually pretty hard. Firstly, lego DOES NOT want you to sand down their pieces. They are ridiculously sturdy, and if you don't have a dremel, it could literally take you an hour or two to sand down the joints. Next, it's hard to get the correct length. In the future I will have to do measurements to get the aproxamite length of the double ball joint connectors. Basically, unless you are going to be using this joint a lot, it's not really worth it. I'm going to be trying this some more, and be experimenting, so keep an eye out for that. I will have more info on the piece in the morning, when the epoxy has had enough time to cure and the piece can be handled without risk of damaging it.
  9. You know, thinking about this, I guess there are a lot of holes, and trying to fill them in would be counterproductive since they are trying to make the story easier to understand. Still, I wonder if there is a connection, will the protectors be like the turaga and tell the story? Just an idea. By the way, what is this super big reveal thing in 2019?
  10. Do you have any proof? As far as I know, lego has not officially confirmed it is a full reboot with no ties to the old universe whatsoever. Also, listening to ttv, they had asked where the masks for ekimu and makuta had come from, and the guy at nycc (keep in mind this guy is an official lego staff member there) had said he could not talk about that. So this hints at a higher being. Also, sorry if I'm being somewhat of a jerk, but I'm just trying to defend my theory, so I apologize if I am mean or make some really big stretches and if's.
  11. I think it's about 31 or so sec into the promo vid that you can see the mask of time up in the top left corner by ekimu's head. Any thoughts on this? It looks kind of abstract, but I don't know what else it could be. Also, what if this is actually a parallel universe and the mask of time actually draws energy/uses other universes to time travel? In which case that would make this a parallel universe of sorts. Also, maybe artahka used the vahi and that's why ekimu has the mask of creation?
  12. So this is somewhat of a conspariacy. In the promo video, you can see in the top left what looks to be a mask of time. There is also a temple of time on okoto. Also, I listen to the ttv podcast, and they were saying that time travel came up quite a bit when asking about the new bionicle. So what if the 2 universes are somehow connected? And if so, how would it all fit?
  13. I've recently been thinking... What about 3d printing? I mean, it is plastic, and it could be an hf socket on a bionicle connector. The only downfall would be the fact that you can't fix pins through the hf sockets. Otherwise, if I do say so myself, I think it is a pretty good idea. Other than that, there is also this thing called a "3 doodler," which is basically the child of a hot glue gun and 3d printer. This could possibly be used to bulk up some of the connectors and reinforce/repair them. Any ideas as far as this goes? Well, there was like no time between my previous post and this one. Guess I should have researched the 3doodler first... Anyways, I looked into it, and 3doodlers hover around 100 dollars. Not cheap by any means, but it comes with 5o sticks, and refills are 10 bucks for 25 sticks. You can get both abs and pla plastic, but there are many more options in the pla department (including clear colors, so Jaller Inika and Takadox won't be on their own!). I have no idea on the durability of pla plastics, but I do know that lego uses abs, so the creations could be pretty sturdy. I think that this is a legitimate option for those like me looking to fix their collection. I suppose I will have to ask for it for christmas (yes I am still getting christmas gifts at age 14 lol). Only time will tell.
  14. I STILL WILL FIND A WAY TO FIX DEM BIONICLE JOINTS!!!!!!!!

  15. Does anyone know how often Hf sockets break? We know they do, but from what I've heard, it's a really rare occurence.
  16. You know, does anyone know if the mixture for 2007 like green changed when 2008 came? They are still both brittle, but 2008 joints were all brittle due to their style. The plastic also feels different, so I am pretty sure. Does anyone know? Also, does anyone have a picture of a Hf/ccbs cup that is broken?
  17. Gaaaahhhh! The hot glue kind of works, but it will still fracture with the joint. I am beginning to think there are only a few options left now. First, there is still semi-flexible epoxy, which I am seriously considering now. Next, there is just dealing with the fractures. Third, there is 3-d printing the piece in a reinforced way, but I have no idea on how to make a render model for 3-d printing, so that's beyond me. Looks like it may come to semi-flexible epoxy!
  18. I will have to keep this in mind. However, not trying to be off topic, but as far as your Lewa's sword goes, if you still have the handle, you could use modeling cement on it, however that would make it more delicate. If not, you could use lego's part replacement system, but the piece may not be in production, so the only solution would be bricklink. I suppose this can also go for the joints, too, but I would rather just reinforce them, because no matter how many times you buy new joints, they can still always break.
  19. You know, I've been experimenting on some pieces using epoxy putty, and I may finally have a sort of solution! Unfortunately, I don't think I can do it on pre-2008 limbs due to the slight differences in the sockets, but I will try! I also like the idea of hot glue since it is semi flexible, so I will have to investigate that, and I'm kind of angry that I didn't think of that myself! I guess only time will tell (literally, since I have to wait for the epoxy to set), but I will keep you all updated!
  20. I like the idea of squeezing on the side (I actually do that to increase the longevity of my parts), however, when I was younger, I popped those joints around like crazy, and as a result, I have a load of broken joints. Does anyone know any ways to reinforce the joints to stop breakage entirely? As previously mentioned by me, I said coating the joints in a clear, semi flexible epoxy could possibly do the trick. Anyone got any ideas on this? Also, I would love to see what the taped joints look like, so if you have any pics, I would like to see them.
  21. So I know some of you may not care, however I cannot get over the broken bionicle joints! I have some ideas, such as coating them in a semi flexible epoxy, but it is rather expensive, and I would love to find cheaper solutions. Please post any ideas you may have!
  22. Wondering how to fix broken bionicle joints...

  23. Slightly off topic, but how does this attach? I watch the ttv podcast, and they were speaking about how there was a clip on the back of the mask, much like the visors on the invasion from below heroes. This makes me wonder if only masks of power will be on a clip, or of all masks will clip on? If you have seen bionicle legends of metru nui, you will remember Vakama put the mask of time on over his normal mask of concealment. Does this mean the toa will be able to put this mask on over their normal mask? Just speculation, but in any case, BIONICLE IS BACK!!!!
  24. I know teridax is dead, but there is certainly some way lego could revive him. As for the rumors, I know those are big if's.
  25. I think this is cool, but one of the worst things I can see is a hero factory-bionicle crossover. This would most likely simplify bionicle, and the toa would get, god forbid, quasa cores. However, teridax can NEVER die. That has been established. Most likely he would find some ancient warriors or force to command on spherus magna, and they would slowly kidnap matoran/agaori, until the toa/glatorian stopped them. However, I wonder how the agori and matoran and toa and glatorian would be mixed. If they are of the same type/species, this would mean there are more ways to become a toa, as this would entail that the agori turned into glatorian, which has been shown in one of the earlier comics on bara magna. Basiacally, this all means the matoran/agori would turn into toa/glatorian and fight teridax. All in all, if this is along the lines if what happens if bionicle came back, and it's newbie friendly, then the return of bionicle is looking bright. By the way... There has been a new construction theme/style along the lines of Hf/bionicle, so, who knows... Maybe my (and several of yours) childhood will be revived. One can only hope. By the way... There are supposed rumors of hero factory ending in 2015...
