  1. IC: Razsk

"Calm down Aurorin, it's just water," says Razsk, grinning at little.  "And trust me, there's much better things here than the water and the warmth.  I haven't been here in a while either, but I know my way around...ish.  I'm good with maps.  Are we headed to Ga-Koro?"

  2. IC: Razsk

Razsk looked back at at the mountains they had just left, glad to finally be free of their chill.  "Not sure where it is exactly, but I'm pretty sure we crossed over the border into Ga-Wahi, or we're about to.  Aurorin, you travel a lot, do you know?"

  3. IC: Razsk

"There's still the matter of Jalkron.  How are we going to bring him along?  Nobody has a mask of healing on them, right?"

OOC: Wait until Ghosthands' timeskip.  We'll arrive in ga after that.

  4. IC: Razsk

Razsk takes them and quickly draws a basic map of the island.  "I'm not an artist, but the island looks a bit like this.  We're here, in Ko Wahi.  There's ko-koro, where we just were, and here's ihu koro, where we are now."  He continues drawing, until each of the main koros and wahis are labeled, along with a few notable landmarks.  He hands the map to Essie.  "That's the best I can do.  If I see a real map I'll show you, but for now that should help."

    Backstory:

The most feared being known to toa and matoran kind, Valgredor has existed since the dawn of time itself.  His very name sends matoran running in terror, and it is said that many have been driven insane from simply looking upon him.

Valgredor once ruled a mighty empire with an iron fist, his subjects hardly more than slaves, building massive war machines capable of leveling cities in mere minutes.  With these machines the Warlord added whole kingdoms to his empire daily.  Who knows how long this would have gone on, if he had not gone so far north.  Valgredor was waging war, almost completely one sided, as usual, when a hero arose.

The hero’s name was lost to history eons ago, but it is said that he fought Valgredor for days, neither combatant stopping for food nor water nor rest.  After a week had passed, the fight brought them to a volcano.  Both were exhausted and were covered in horrible wounds.  Valgredor managed to kick the hero over the edge of the volcano.  But when he looked over the edge to watch him fall, he saw that the hero had grabbed on.  Valgredor snarled and picked up a boulder to throw at the hero, but before he could the hero struck the side of the volcano with a powerful energy blast, causing it to crumble and fall down into the molten lava at the bottom.

Valgredor roared in anger and surprise as the ground beneath him gave way, and, thrown off balance by the massive boulder he was holding, he toppled and fell into the volcano.  Unlike the hero, he was unable to grab onto the side, and he fell past him, screaming in outrage.  The hero started to climb up as Valgredor started blasting the lava with energy in an attempt to take the hero with him.

Within seconds it was on the brink of eruption, massive jets of molten rock flying high into the air.  One caught Valgredor’s right arm and incinerated it instantly.  The scream of pain that he emitted nearly deafened the hero, even though they were so far apart.  Valgredor crashed heavily onto a rock protruding from the lava, and while his landing caused many cracks to form throughout the rock, it held.

The hero climbed over the edge and started running down the mountain.  Only a few seconds later the volcano exploded, chunks of rock and lava falling from the sky and pouring down the side of the mountain.  The hero took shelter behind a large rock outcropping, and waited out the eruption.  The kingdoms and nations of that time rejoiced when the hero returned victorious.  They thought that Valgredor was gone for good.  That was not true.

Deep within the volcano the warlord slept, entombed in rock.  Valgredor has woken.  He has crafted a new arm for himself, partially made up of a massive energy cannon and many other hidden gadgets.  He wields a massive scythe, and it is said that is capable of cutting through the hardest substances and that a single scratch from the blade will paralyze the victim, leaving him helpless before the warlord.  His mask is one of the most powerful ever known, the Kanohi Inturan, mask of enhancement.  It allows him to enhance his actions, such as his speed, strength, and intelligence, to name only a few.

The world as we know it is coming to an end.  Death is on the wind.  The nightmare has returned.  Darkness will fall.  Valgredor is here.

    Description:

Valgredor stands 19 tall.  His left arm has a built-in energy cannon, and many smaller laser, energy, and projectile weapons.  It has a built in targeting system which connects directly to Valgredor’s mask.  In his left arm he holds a massive scythe, both ancient and deadly.  He wears the Kanohi Inturan, Mask of Enhancement, which is actually the head of the Toa Terrain Crawler.

  6. OOC: As to the running joke, that would be awesome.  I can imagine in the middle of a fight, Essie just randomly says something along the lines of, "Two hundred and fifty four, referring to me as inferior is an incorrect statement, as multiple analyses show that this unit is 237% more capable in physical abilities and 192% more capable in mental abilities than any other being within 500 feet."

    IC: Razsk

"Deriksha, getting angry at Essie isn't going to accomplish anything.  She doesn't give muaka dung about how angry you are with her, and she won't take offense at insults.  You won't get a reaction out of her because she doesn't have emotions.  I understand you are angry and feel insulted, but since she has no emotions she cannot tell when she has offended or insulted anyone.  She did not intentionally insult you, she was just stating facts based on her calculations."

  7. IC: Jalkron

Jalkron closes his eyes, and his fists clench.  Aurorin hears a groaning sound behind him, and when he turns he sees another operating table folding in on itself, slowly warping beyond recognition, compacting into a tight ball.  "Don't. Ever. Mention. My. Team. Again." Jalkron growls through clenched teeth, eyes still firmly shut and fists whitening from lack of blood.

  8. IC: Jalkron

"No thanks.  I appreciate your help and all, but I'm not joining a team.  I'll stick around for a bit while i'm healing, but you can't convince me to stay."

  9. IC: Razsk, Jalkron

"I doubt the outsiders will be happy with your choice.  And don't forget, I'm leaving."

Jalkron looks up.  "Team?  Been there, done that, never again."

  10. IC: Razsk

"There are pleasant emotions and unpleasant emotions. You would consider both types inefficient, as they make you do stupid things sometimes.  But emotions define our personality, and without them the world would be a very, very boring place.  Everyone would be the same mentally.  I can't explain to you what emotions really are because you don't have any."
