  1. We've been given hints that both G1 and G2 are connected. If this is a reincarnation sort of story, no, they haven't ruined it.

Imo, this was pretty well crafted. They've made a soul-sequel without having to go back to the original G1 story. It keeps it simple for the newer fans while also being a highly wanted sequel for the old fans.

At this point, I can't say for sure though. Until G2 is over, I won't be able to give my final opinion, they could completely screw it up for all I know.

Also, let's be reminded here, LEGO isn't out to screw us all over. Unlike the gaming industry, LEGO has to keep a younger audience entertained. How are they gonna do that? Make sure they give out good quality. Bionicle was LEGO's saving grace at one point, and I doubt they'll make a story just to say G2 has a story. LEGO gives quality, and they won't do something with bad intentions. At least I highly doubt they'll do that. They are a company after all, but one of the better ones imo.

:notsure:But I do agree with Lyi that it's uncertain how LEGO would handle minifigure characters as constraction sets. More realistic proportions are not unthinkable, but the faces are my biggest concern. Just scaling up the cylindrical, noseless, bright yellow minifigure faces could look strange, but if you gave them more human-like faces it could be seen as inconsistent with the theme's overall branding.

Or they could just be helmeted? :shrugs:

I'm just game for more swords and trans parts and all the other cool stuff that'd come with these guys done constraction.

    YES

I'D LOVE TO SEE SOME CCBS KNIGHT HELMETS

  3. I'd like to reemphasize that this could easily have been the result of a miscommunication. Talking to a Lego store employee isn't exactly the same as getting an official statement from Lego.

I think the doomsaying is a tad premature. Sales may be down in the US, but it's not like America is the world. Since the 2016 sets appeared in Hungary, they've been selling pretty well as far as I can see, and the 2015 sets have been sold out and restocked several times, and the few stragglers still around have kept their launch price, something rather rare in these parts.

We've seen some LEGO products not making their way to North America while being popular elsewhere.

    :kakama:

I agree with both of these.

bionicle is supposed to be a "terminal theme" says a credible source everyone freaks out bionicle dies we die

To be fair, we only die if we let ourselves die. We can keep going on as a fandom (as much as I hate the word) so long as we keep doing what we love to do. Who knows, Bionicle might make another return as well!

true I don't think they would do a gen 3 idk maybe they would do like constraction for other themes then again this all could end up not being true and everything is fine

I doubt they'll ever fully get rid of Bionicle. It's too good of a product to just throw out. It'll probably always be somewhere at LEGO HQ, probably stored as an idea if LEGO ever goes under again so they can whip something out.

  6. To start off my return to BZP, I'd like to post a thread of something I've been thinking of recently.

It's been a while since the old Kingdom Knights contraction sets came out (13 years actually, wow, that's a while) and looking at recreating my self-MOC, I was wondering if Nexo Knights could possibly have the potential to get it's own constraction line using CCBS? I'd absolutely love to get some knight masks for my self-MOC and others.

  7. Hardest MOC I've ever worked on? Probably Galaxy Patrol cast, between giving them revamps, redesigning, ordering parts, waiting for sets... *sigh* it's all just a huge first time comic experience for me... hopefully it'll actually get some traction and get pretty popular! ^_^

  8. My friend and I got in contact (the one who plays Garrus) and he requested a redesign after asking him if he liked the current model so I'm currently waiting for the parts for the MOC to come in. :P

Other than that, still working on the final villain who I don't want to reveal yet... :3
