  1. Hey guys. You are welcome. Glad you liked it. Now let's see if I ever get around doing that unboxing video Have a good one! T.
  2. Hey guys. Finally the video is here. Sorry for the bad quality...now let's see if this works.. Link: http://www.mediafire.com/watch/6gc84a3anc3kbf9/Bionicle.mp4
  3. Hey guys. Don't worry, I haven't disappeared again. Something came up on Saturday that needed my attention over the weekend, so I couldn't film any. Sorry about that. I'm free whole next weekend, so let's see what happens.. Thank you. For Lego I have worked on Bionicle, Star Wars, Chima and a lot of concept stuff. The year before I started at Legoland I was only working on concept development for the new Lego Brand House they are building in Billund. It will be a huge interactive Lego playhouse and museum. Guess you can start looking forward to that For Legoland I have mostly worked on the new Dubai park opening in October and the new Tokyo park opening next year. I designed Tarix' body from existing parts, just changed the colours. The mask and blades I designed from scratch based on a gladiator theme.. T.
  4. Hey SkeletonMan I'll see what I can do But guys.. Please give me links to the best video service you want my material on for your pleasure. then I will deliver. have a good one! T.
  5. Hey Aanchir Thanks for the info. I'm keeping it for my future children to love it, or cash in in 2068 ..And thank you! It's a really nice job. I get to travel all over the world. Look for my designs in the new Legoland Park, opening in Dubai in Oktober! Hey SkeletonMan Don't mention it! I have this object that you guys love and want to see. Like I have said before, I have a solid collectors gene in me and can relate to you guys totally. My girl is nervous that I will be obscene in the video... Well, if I swear, you guys have to excuse me.... T.
  6. Hey Pereki Thanks for the info. Just wanted to know. Not selling this thing ever, it means too much for me and my LEGO career. Like I said, I might record the VHS tape this weekend and possibly an unboxing. My girlfriend suggested that... T.
  7. Hey SkeletonMan Thanx, took a while I will work on this over the weekend. Any special wishes? I can record an unboxing...
  8. Hey Guys I am so sorry. A lot of things happened over a year ago. Moving and getting a new job and stuff... I am now a model designer for Legoland Parks, working in Billund. I got thrown into a whirlwind of projects and totally forgot about this thing. Well, I still owe you a glimpse at the VHS tape. My friend with the converting machine moved permanently to Copenhagen, so that option is off. But I have a old vcr that works with my smart TV, so I can use my DSLR to record it. Then upload it for you guys to the tube, or something of your choice. How does that sound? Anybody got any idea about the worth of my mint condition Style Guide? Just asking for insurance reasons... Hope you see this post. Anyway, have a great weekend and again, sorry for the delay... Keep building! Torsti
  9. Hey guys I'm so sorry for the hold up. Have been extremely busy on a project for the last few weeks. But I haven't forgotten you. I will hopefully get together with my friend this weekend and convert the VHS to digital. Have a good one! Torsti
  10. Hey guys My friend with the video equipment is back and ready to help me out with the VHS tape. Guess it might happen sometime during the coming week. But let's see. Soon at least. I have been a bit busy lately so I haven't been able to document the Style guide folder. Hope I get some time soon to look into that. But I guess you guys are more excited about the contents of the VHS All in good time.. Torchbearer: It was a challenge, but a fun one. Every design process has it's dificulties, but if you really love what you are doing it is more a mission than a task. I have many times been sitting and working on a Lego project, listening to my favorite music, doing good stuff and suddenly thinking: "I'm actually getting paid for this. How lucky am I?". But it's the same old story, I didn't just fall into my situation, it took years of dedication and hard work. Have a nice weekend. Torsti
  11. Hey TehBestMemberEvar!1 Super effing cool! You are amazing. Now let's get this ball rolling. I really want to give you guys all of this. But can I ask a tiny thing in return? Keep up the good work TehBestMemberEvar!1 and the rest of you! Cheers Torsti
  12. You are fantastic! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the work you're putting into this. Now I just need that Saffire programmer to find that build of the game he had stored away, and my BIONICLE life will be complete. Now that you mention it. I am putting a lot of work into this. I will give you the whole thing for free, no matter what. It's just because my girlfriend suggested that I could possibly profit from "all those Bionicle nerds" ...Personally I don't need anything from you guys, exept perhaps some Star Wars stuff if you have it. But your thanks and compliments are more than enough for me. BUT! If you are feeling generous, then please donate something to your local homeless shelter or a cancer fund of your choice in thanks to me giving you all this. The more donations you give (I am taking this on a gentleman's promise) the faster I will deliver the VHS content. Don't feel bad if you can't donate. I will deliver the goods anyway. Cheers Torsti
  13. Hey JrMasterModelBulder Respect to you. It seem you have this under control. Keep up the good work. I am doing this basically because I know the passion of collecting things from a wonderful fictional world. I have something special that you guys want and I gladly share it. I myself collect vintage Star Wars toys and it's hard to think of a comparable thing that would be revealed now in that world, and how my s*** would flip... so heads up for good vintage 1977 to 1985 SW for me if you got it Now I will focus on the VHS and the guide pdf. They will be up as soon as possible. Cher in autotune.. Torsti Edit: Hasreadit: Yes, it is a wonderful place to work at.
  14. Once I get them downloaded, I'll see if this is possible. The executables are the old Mac Preferred Exutable Format from way back. Snow Leopard with Roseta might be able to run them. Not sure. It's all Shockwave based. I'll see if I can extract the main Shockwave movie out of it and run it outside. Strange that there only seems to be Mac executables with no Windows ones. Torsti, are the CD's you have possibly hybrid CD's? A CD with 2 different partitions, one for Mac, one for Windows? Hey JrMasterModelBulder I am not sure about this. It does not say on the cd's. I ripped them on a Windows machine. How can I tell?? I have access to to both PC and Mac machines; it just so happened I was working on a PC today. I can pop them into a mac tomorrow and see.. Cheerios torsti
  15. Hey guys I will slowly work on documenting the whole main guide binder and make a PDF for you to download including the synopsis. The guide is over 60 pages, so please be patient. More good news also; my video ripping friend is coming back next week and ready and able to rip the VHS. How would you guys want it? A youtube video or a mega download or something else? Cheers Torsti
  16. Hey guys Here they are: CD 1: https://mega.co.nz/#!wBEmTZ6S!w9Lw7D4PCIV5j-EAulnQZXAsRHo3N7JsXBA1vG2z3sY CD 2: https://mega.co.nz/#!JFUmkALa!dh6Xsvgd3TRyM3IDV6l06WBP5PQoyi0PCAmwP0ogjbs Enjoy Torsti
  17. Hey guys Ok, now I have a couple of .iso files of the cd's. I just need to find a way to get it to you guys. Any suggestions. Cd 1 is around 500MB and cd 2 is almost 700MB. They contain roughly the same info as in the guide binder it self, but there are some nice things in there. Such as an intro and graphic flash menu's. There is a downloadable Bionicle font, character info and pictures from 2001 to 2003 along with logos and graphics. The most interesting thing I found though is the last tab, marketing info. It only says "coming soon.." when you activate it. This suggests a newer version of the guide having been made or a marketing suppliment to mine. But let me know if you are interested in seeing this for your selves () and how I should get these to you. Cheers Torsti
  18. Hey Alijar The blue prototypes and the sphere are 3D printed thermoplastic. They have then been spraypainted. You can see this on the inside of the sphere with the leeches in it. The orange leeches are test molds made from cheaper rubber to basically test the metal molds for the part before the slightly more expensive transparent green was put through. There are always test molds in cheaper colours of all parts that are in special colours or double injected. But those almost always end in the recycling bin after the part has been approved. Imagine all the funky coloured Bionicle masks that have gone to the smelter Cheers Torsti
  19. Hey guys Sorry, was too busy yesterday. But here is the little thing I promised to show you. Since these have been out for almost ten years now, I am sure it's ok to show you this. These vere all sitting in the drawer of my desk when I started my internship and before I left I asked if I could keep them. They said ok. So here I have some printed prototypes of Shadow Leeches (blue) and the ball they come in, and three orange testmolds. You can see that the printed prototypes are more evil and sharper than the finished product. This was a general rule at Bionicle, make the weapons and stuff as sharp and evil as possible and then let the engineers and child safety people sort it Well, have a good weekend and I'll get back to you next week with those cd's. Cheers Torsti
  20. Hey Guys Thank you for all the kind replies and nice Tarix compliments, I'm flattered. And thanks for featuring this on the front page. Extra nice! Well, there are some questions to answer. -First off, don't worry. I will get the contents of the VHS and cd's out for you. I can see how excited you all are about that, and I wouldn't dream of just dangling this in front of you and then hide it away. The VHS is going to take some time, but hopefully sometime this month. It all depends on my friend with the equipment to rip it. He's on vacation for the next couple of weeks, so you just have to be patient. I can work on the cd's first thing next week. Been busy for the last couple of days and tomorrow. Then my in-laws are coming for a visit this weekend.. So sorry about that But somewhere next week I hope to have those cd's turned inside out for you all. One thing that I have to check though is if there is any secret Lego stuff on there, but I doubt it. Then I'll just skip that anyway. -Storypoints and contradictions I can't help you with. You guys know way more than me about the story anyway.. -Protodite. It is a dream. It is a super nice workplace with only nice and wonderful, talented people. I have been doing a lot of freelance work for the Lego Brand-House Project for the last year and every time I come to the design offices in Billund it's not a job for me, it's just super fun and engaging. I can definitely recommend it...and there are Lego's everywhere! But just so you know it, this is an unpaid internship. Go here and register and apply for your intern position: https://jobsearch.lego.com/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hrrcf_a_candidate_registration?sap-return-url=%2fsap%2fbc%2fwebdynpro%2fsap%2fhrrcf_a_startpage_ext_cand# Be sure to say that you love Bionicle and perhaps show some nice custom builds - So sorry Gootah, I will have to hold on to mine, it goes so well with the rest of the guide. But Aanchir has a possible solution for you. - Thedarkside. This was never sold anywhere. My best guess is the same as Perekis': "This is a guide that would be given to partners of the LEGO Group, so they would know what BIONICLE was and how to present it to consumers.". - I am not thinking of selling this. I was just wondering if it was worth anything and what then. But I have come to realize now that this is definitely wort something, but nothing compared to the value of your excitement. I'll hang on to it for the next decade, then I can bring it to Bionicle conventions and let you look at it throug bulletproof glass and let you take pictures of your selves with it for a reasonable fee ..no, but seriously, I like the thing and it reminds me of a super fun and giving internship, and I couldn't put a dollar walue on that. Now I just remembered something I also have that you guys might be interested in seeing. But it's down in the basement aaand it's spooky down there so I'll get it tomorrow. Cheers Torsti
  21. Hmmm that's weird. Sorry about that. Here are pages 2 and 3
  22. Hey guys Here is the whole synopsis booklet and a picture of the cd's and the back of the poster. I will check the cd's soon and talk with my friend about ripping the VHS. If you want some specific photos then please tell me and I'll see what I can do. Enjoy! Torsti
  23. Hey guys Thank you for the Tarix compliments! I will take some more detailed photos of the guide and post them later today. -Bioniclepluslotr and KopakaFan116, I live in Denmark so no Walgreens here. But my friend likes ripping silly old action and horror movies from VHS to digital, so he might be able to help me. But unfortunately I wont see him for the next couple of weeks at least. -Nidhiki of the Shadows, Thank you. Yes I was there from November 2007 to February 2008. Yes, the sets are designed about eighteen months before they come out. -Toa Smoke Monster, no problem, it's my pleasure to share something like this with people who truly walue it. I'm pretty sure the guide I have is from 2003. -Randomreviewerbros, The development of the look took a couple of months and many tries. Sorry I can't show you anything that has not been published by the Lego group them selves. I take my contracts very seriously and also wouldn't want Lego's team of lawyers to come after me. But I can show you my final build for Tarix and the real concept behind the Stingray waterblades/shield, before it all had to jump through a few thousand loopholes at Lego where somebody didn't get the memo regarding the blades
  24. Hey Gata That is going to be a little hard with the VHS since I haven't had a VCR in over ten years But I can take more photos of the booklet and check out those cd's for sure. It's a little bit late here now, but I'll see what I can do tomorrow when I come home. Best regards Torsti
  25. Hello everybody. Thought I'd share this little thing I got when I was interning at the Bionicle design office in Billund in 2007. I was there for three months as a industrial design intern and helped with the 2009 Glatorian line. I actually designed Tarix. On my last day they wanted to give me something as a parting gift, so one of the guys took me down to this storage room and found this thing and gave it to me. Included in the guide is the sixty page guide it self, including two cd's with digital info (never played). A bag with Bionicle parts to make a Turahk figure (never opened) plus the instructions. A videotape with a short intro about Bionicle (never played). A small synopsis booklet, around 15 pages telling the story of the Bionicle warriors and legend. And then there is a folded A2 poster with a map of the Bionicle world with a big Bionicle logo on the backside. I have included some photos...The first picture is the box it comes in. Picture two is the really nice outer case. Three is the outer case open. Pic four is the stuff that comes in the guide. Pic five is the Turahk figure bag and instructions. Number six is the video cassette. Pic seven is the small synopsis booklet. Eight is the folded poster and nine is the same poster unfolded. I found this thing again in my storage room last week and started looking around the net for more info on it, but found almost nothing. Only a few pictures of a beat up copy of the style guide folder it self with the pages but no cd's. But what I did find was this forum and judging by the looks of it, you guys really like Bionicle I can upload some more pictures if you want a closer look. Just tell me what you want to see. I don't think I want to sell this thing, but if you have any idea on worth, then I'm all ears. It's in super mint condition. Cheers and have a nice day. Torsti Denmark
