  1. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Navu's Place "Stop." Unintentionally, Falh obeyed as he turned to look at whoever had barged in on ending his former friend's life. A moss covered creature, face not visible. What? "...And who would you be, to stop me?" The Toa dropped the Huna temporarily, a shimmer of elemental energy in the free hand. OOC: @Eyru
  2. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop In truth, were it not for Zsann, Mega would have stayed and been killed by the Skakdi. She didn't want to leave, she didn't want to leave her only home in the hands of monsters. She couldn't. But Zsann, someone she'd only recently met and brought into her circle of trust, telling her that it was time to go....Her intense anger and upset turned to fear. She didn't want to die, not because of them. She didn't want to leave, she almost felt sick thinking about it but... Triage. Zsann. Yaushe. For them, she had to leave. For all that had happened that day, they were what she'd gained. Her...friends. Her shop was lost, but they remained. If she died, she'd lose both. And they'd lose her. So, Zsann grabbing her shoulder saved Mega's life. As she looked back after contemplation, she stared at the Skakdi for a few brief moments. Zsann would probably notice a shift from the angry Fa-Matoran to a surrendered expression. She knew. "...I don't wanna." She said, quietly. "But...I know you're right, darlin'. I know it, I wish I didn't but I do." OOC: @A-tak-nid @ZippyWharrgarbl @Unreliable Narrator
  3. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop "WHAT?! I AIN'T-" And then Zsann spoke up. Stuttering, but still speaking up. Not only did it stop Mega from attempting to hop up the raiseladder and slapping the Skakdi upside the head for that comment, it also gave her some inch of authority, as false as it may be. A Skakdi bodyguard wasn't the worst thing to have when your garage was infested with raiders. She took another smoke from her cigarette, gesturing to Zsann with a renewed grin. "I ain't leaving." She affirmed, holding her gun by the carry handle with one gold hand. "Not until ya tell me this place is gonna be fine and dandy once you and ya overgrown Skaklets are fixin' to be done with it. Y'ain't scaring me off!"
  4. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop Despite every nasty thought she had in her head of the Boss, she really, really did need a cig at that moment. Silently storming over, she went up a step to the Boss, taking the cigarette with an outstretched hand, and stepping off again. Her furious glare didn't go away, though, as she lit the cig and immediately took a drag, rubbing her face and still shaking a bit. "Ya'll are OUT of here." She said, taking the cig out of her mouth momentarily after the long drag. "I got friends from that there Metru-Koro now and I'm gettin' real sick of your lot goin' round like ya own the Wastes." She continued, still shaking. The fury hadn't gone entirely but the cig helped to calm her a little bit. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid @Nato the Traveler @Conway @Burnmad IC: Vent - Zakaz, The Tunnels Vent covered their mouth as they tried not to scream as Zak-Yak did that, but managed to calm themselves down. It was okay. It was just a power. Just like my own, right? Rufus sniffed Vent's leg, gnawing on it gently as if it were a tough piece of grass. OOC: @Vezok's Friend @Burnmad @Snelly @Sparticus147
  5. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop "I'M TALKIN' TO YOU!" Mega yelled up to the Boss, the ignorance being the equivalent of pouring gasoline on a fire. The temptation to blast the coffee cup out of his hand in anger was becoming harder and harder to resist. "Oh, ya'll real big and tough, ain't you..." With that last bit, she raised her rifle and shot into the roof above her three times. The sound was unavoidable, bouncing off and around the garage almost deafeningly as she held a smoking rifle pointing up top. 6. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop That f- "HEY!" Mega yelled, her fear metamorphosing into a streak of anger as she saw the Boss lighting her smokes, and the familiar strong smell of her coffee permeated the air, even over the oily and engine centric smells that took most of it up. It was one thing to steal her engine parts and equipment. The disgusting, thoughtless nerve on this monster went beyond that. She began to walk over, a bundle of anger and upset as she saw Skakdi using her tools and dirtying up her floor. She might not be able to stop them, but she could certainly give them a piece of her mind. It wouldn't help, but at that moment she didn't care. Zsann trailed her, and though she barely noticed it might have inwardly boosted her confidence. She wasn't completely alone, even it didn't entirely register. "I AIN'T DONE NOTHING TO YA! YET HERE YA ARE, TAKIN' MY STUFF, USIN' MY TOOLS, DRINKIN' MY COFFEE AND SMOKING MY CIGS! YA'LL CHILDREN? YA SURE ACTIN' LIKE IT! SPITEFUL LITTLE SKAKLETS WHO AIN'T KNOWN LOVE SINCE BIRTH!" She yelled up to the entirety of the garage, including the Boss. The Matoran was shaking, but the complete shock and enragement at the sight of her worst fear polluting her only home trumped any sense she had in her head. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @A-tak-nid @ZippyWharrgarbl @Burnmad @Nato the Traveler @Conway
  7. IC: Zai - Zakaz, Tactical Panda "Not...our idea." Zai explained, doing similar to Yso to avoid the smell. She again ignored Korio, so she wouldn't have to hit him again and get a worse punishment. "Quid pro quo, Lady Yumiwak is performing a favour in exchange for the information she bartered for." OOC: @EmperorWhenua @Tarn @pokemonlover360
  8. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop "HEY! CAN'T YA'LL READ, PLACE SAID CLOSED!" Mega yelled, now at the place entirely. She was trying her best to be brave but it was horrible to see her only home be gutted by War Skaks like it was nothing. Like it didn't even matter. Years of scavenging and hard work undone without a second thought. There were so many of them. God, if she hadn't stopped for that cig, for the Skakdi, she might have been able to get there before them. She might have been able to try and persuade them not to pilfer her stuff. She wasn't sure what to say, even. What can you say? "LOOK, I JUST WANNA SPEAK TO WHOEVER'S IN CHARGE, ALRIGHT?" She yelled again, still holding her gun weakly. She could still easen things up, right? OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Burnmad @Nato the Traveler @Conway @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid
  9. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Scrapshop "I...I have to talk to 'em, make a deal..." She muttered to herself, as the van came to a stop a little bit away from the place. "I can stop 'em, they'll listen, they've listened before ain't they?" Mega looked pale. She shouldn't have left, she never should have left. Carrying her gun limply, Mega would soon be visible to everyone currently pilfering her place. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Nato the Traveler @Burnmad @Conway @Keeper of Kraata @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid
  10. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Navu's Place Falh stared at the unconscious body. He should have known to restrain him better. Pushing him over with his foot, he noticed the squished tomato. A dry, humourless laugh. Datrox. You had to make it difficult for me, didn't you? In an almost ironic move, Falh pulled the mask off of Datrox's face. He'd keep it, as a keepsake. The person who saved his life. He knelt down, holding the man's face as a knife of ice formed in his other hand, and he moved to drag it across his neck and end him quickly. "Goodbye, brother." OOC: @Tarn @Eyru
  11. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes, Van Time A smile, as the three drove. The storm that was brewing was almost beautiful. "You're welcome. I'm sorry about the gun, darlin'. Just...I know better to be a Matoran in the Wastes without nothing to defend myself with." She sighed, still laying against the headrest. "Ain't so bad now I got Yaushe's chassis to protect me, but..." She trailed off, as she spotted something in the distance she wished she hadn't. "Oh no. Oh good lord above, no." Mega gasped, the more relaxed expression completely disappearing. To her horror, as she looked into the Wastes in front and took sight of her garage, 30 or so spots were beside it. She knew what they were, but she wished she hadn't. She reached for her rifle again. Why today? Why me? OOC: @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid
  12. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes, The Van "Yeah, ain't known anywhere else. I got a place out here in The Wastes, get by with fixin' people's rides. That's where we're goin' now, actually." Mega went on, laying her head against the headrest as they drove. "...Ya can get yourself some rest there if ya want, before ya head out. Wouldn't do to just send ya on your way with no food or shuteye." It felt odd offering this to her, but she'd do the same for any Matoran wanderer who needed help, wouldn't she? OOC: @A-tak-nid
  13. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes, The Van "Yeah. Thank you there, Yaushe." Mega smiled. Always, huh? "So...uh..." She coughed a little. "What's it ya do? Ya one of those folk that arrived from that there head?" OOC: @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid
  14. IC: Vent - Zakaz, The Tunnels "...Wait, I can still see him? And you. But you're both...fuzzy....you're not a...you're not a ghost, are you?" Vent's hands trembled just ever so slightly. OOC: @Burnmad @Snelly @Vezok's Friend @Sparticus147 IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes, The Van "I'm Mega." Mega replied, perhaps a little curt, as she climbed into the driver's seat again and put her rifle away. The stutter again. Was she genuinely anxious? "...You alright?" She asked, glancing to Zsann with a hint of curiosity. It was admittedly strange to see such an intimidating figure in a more...reserved position. Quiet Skakdi were few and far between. OOC: @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid IC: Zai - Zakaz, Tactical Panda Zai simply glared at Korio whilst Yso was gone, not even acknowledging him with conversation. He'd shown her up badly before. She'd repay him in the cold shoulder, now. As Yso came back up, Zai nodded, traces of a smile emerging as something went right, for once. "Good." She said, almost murmuring. She dreaded the mission but still derived some pleasure from being able to carry out her Lady's wishes. OOC: @pokemonlover360 @Tarn @EmperorWhenua
  15. IC: Vent - Zakaz, The Tunnels Vent gave Providence a thumbs up, still carrying Rufus who was miraculously not making any noise and beginning to slowly make his way towards the light. Well, slow for Vent at least. OOC: @Burnmad @Sparticus147 @Snelly @Unreliable Narrator @Vezok's Friend
  16. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Navu's Hut "I wanted to spite you, make you suffer, as I said. But...the cravings, you helped. Had I succumbed, I'd never truly be at my peak, never truly have what it takes to take my enemies on. Maybe you are right." He looked him in the eyes. "You deserve death, not damnation." OOC: @Tarn
  17. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Navu's Place "No, whilst I'm sure it would hurt you if I hurt her, she has no part in this. This is you and me, hmm?" Falh smiled, but the room and what Datrox said reminded him that the two had quite possibly saved his life. It had genuinely hurt him, what Datrox had done. "I am sorry." He said, quietly. OOC: @Tarn
  18. IC: Vent - Zakaz, The Tunnels A little perturbed, Vent looked to the others. "I think, uh...maybe we should be quiet?" OOC: @Snelly @Unreliable Narrator @Burnmad @Sparticus147 IC: Falh - Zakaz, Navu's Place As Navu fled, Falh sighed after staring his nemesis down just a bit longer, before slowly and gently beginning to push the icy statue into Navu's home. She'd be back, soon enough, but for now he had some alone time with his nemesis. He wasn't sure yet what he'd do. Ideally, he'd haul him back to his own home, but the distance would make it far easier to be caught. No, clearly he'd have to either kill him, or force him to walk to his home under the pretense that he wouldn't be a living trophy for the rest of his life. A hard debate. He touched the face of Datrox's prison of ice as he slid him to face in front of Navu's bed, freeing up his mouth, nose and eyes for the time being. They'd speak briefly, and then it was back to forcible silence for the Ta-Toa. Or eternal sleep. It truthfully depended. Falh sat on Navu's bed, elbows on his knees in contemplation. "Your Matoran friend has made this difficult." Falh said, simply. OOC: @Tarn
  19. IC: Zai - Zakaz, The Tactical Panda "Offing Korio would put me in great upset with Lady Yumiwak." Zai put simply, though the thought was a good fantasy. "My personal upsets with that thoughtless buffoon do not come before her." She paused, looking at Yso's work for a moment in vague intrigue before looking again to her face, crimson eyes softening as she sighed. "We have what our Lady desired, yes. This is why I am here, her orders are to fire up the aerial engine." At the very least, Yso was more receptive to orders given by proxy than Korio was. OOC: @pokemonlover360 IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes She eyed her back, but sighed as she eventually looked back to Yaushe. "We got a hitchhiker, darlin'." She explained to the van, leaning against the door and patting the van itself to indicate Zsann could enter. OOC: @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid IC: Falh - Zakaz, Outside Navu's Place As Falh's finger moved up to about in front of Datrox's mouth, melting a small hole in the ice so that the Ta-Toa could not suffocate, he looked back to the Matoran with a look of death. "He tried to help me but then he hindered me. He was a traitor to our kind. I'm giving him the due punishment. Now run along." The Ko-Toa's tone indicated that he would easily do the same to Navu were she to get in his way. Past good deeds do not erase the bad. OOC: @Toru Nui @Tarn
  20. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Outside Navu's Place Nor Datrox or Navu could continue the conversation, however, as the Ta-Toa would only brief feel a touch of ice on his spine and then a wave of incomprehensible cold as Datrox's body locked into place. Now little more than a perfectly polished living ice sculpture, Falh would soon come into Datrox's view behind the ice. His lips would not move, nor would he be able to do anything but simply move his eyes. "That will be the last time you ever try to shame me with mercy, firespitter." The Ta-Toa would just about make out from behind the sub zero prison. Falh stared into the creation of his own element, mockingly running a finger across where Datrox's face was, like he was caressing a lover. His red eyes pierced into the flash frozen figure's own, a smirk carving across Falh's Felnas. "Run along, little one. Datrox and I just had a little disagreement. He'll be perfectly fine, so long as you don't interfere." The Ko-Toa said to Navu, only glancing back for a moment. "You can melt the ice if you want, Datrox, but you're bleeding like a stuck rahi and that little bit of time you take to melt my prison...well...let's say I won't follow your example in finishing a fight." He stared, still. "I can see now, though, that death is what you want, isn't it? To be a martyr, to die for something you believe in? I'd almost respect you if you weren't a traitorous snake." Falh chuckled, feeling his iron blade in his hand. "But death you shall not be granted. I'll thaw you when I see fit, and then we'll talk. How's that, hmm?" He looked back to Navu again, as if to remind her to leave. OOC: @Toru Nui @Tarn (autohit approved by Tarn)
  21. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes She looked back to Yaushe, and back to Zsann. She didn't seem to have a pack of any kind, or any supplies. And the stutter made her think. Was she...actually nervous? She'd met many Skakdi, but rarely ever had they displayed fear that wasn't the immediate fight or flight response gained by getting shot at or in combat. She didn't hate them before, but she knew to be weary of them. And her view of them was certainly far from positive now. Her mind went to Po-Koro again. She shut it out. Maybe it was wrong to assume. Past experiences, especially that day, had tainted Mega's views heavily, but maybe that wasn't right. Surely there were outliers in every species, right? "Well...heck..." It'd be wrong to leave her. Even if Zsann made it to Po-Koro, their prejudices were likely worse than Mega's after what happened, and there was little space for her there in any case. She could try for Metru-Koro, but the distance in the desert would be very difficult. Especially with no supplies. Alright. You don't gotta take care of her, just get her to your place, and send her on her merry way. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Mega's yellow eyes looked the Skakdi up and down, before lowering the rifle completely, stepping on the cigarette she'd dropped a minute or so prior. "Look...we can take you to my place, get ya some supplies but then you get out of here, alright?" She said, quietly. A cough came after, as she beckoned Zsann over. OOC: @ZippyWharrgarbl @A-tak-nid Location: The Scrapshop, Zakaz The Boss would not find anyone inside the garage, largely because the doors had been locked before she left with Yaushe. From what the Skakdi could tell, the garage was sizeable but definitely not enough to fit more than maybe two war rigs in at a time, and four technicals or ACRs. Of course, it was difficult to tell because the garage shutters were completely closed. It wouldn't be especially hard to break in with the Boss' firepower, but it would mean that Mega would know almost immediately that someone had been and gone. It wasn't likely that the War Skaks cared, but it was something worth considering. Beside the garage itself was a sort of cabin area/reception area, locked by a padlock and adorned with a sign that hung above the door that clearly said "CLOSED." At the back of the place was a sizeable yard-like area, enclosed by barbed wire fences and filled with all sorts of mechanical scrap, largely Skakdi vehicle parts, but also weapon parts and other miscellaneous metal items. The place wasn't massive, overall, but Mega liked it and considered it a nice place to live. OOC: @Unreliable Narrator @Keeper of Kraata @Burnmad @Nato the Traveler
  22. IC: Mega - Zakaz, The Wastes "Well, you're lost, then?" Mega, a little calmer, approached Zsann slowly. Her hands remained on the rifle, but her finger was now off the trigger. She hoped she wouldn't regret the tiny bit of trust she was giving to the Skakdi not to gut her. OOC: @A-tak-nid
  23. IC: Falh - Zakaz, The End "Grghh!" A grunt of bone shaking pain as Falh was forced off kilter by Datrox's assault on his leg. "You don't win a war by following rules that the enemy break!" Falh gasped, stance broken. OOC: @Tarn
  24. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Outside Navu's Place ("For True Story") The icy projectile had halted Datrox's swing just enough for Falh to step back quickly, perhaps preventing his leg from being injured severely. Datrox's continued words infuriated Falh even further. He'd listened to the Ta-Toa before and all it had done is slow his wrath. They should have slaughtered the two diplomats as soon as negotiations went south. And after the diplomat's ultimatum, they should take that accursed airship right out of the sky. "I wanted us, Datrox! Someone like me, who knew what the League was capable of and was willing to make the RIGHT-" He accentuated the last word with a diagonal sword swing from his actual longsword, drawing it quickly and as smooth and cold as an icy lake itself. "--choice!" The sweat had cooled. There was only blood to be spilled, now. OOC: @Tarn IC: Zai - Zakaz, Approaching the Tactical Panda Zai nodded, speeding into a run to get to the airship quicker. Unlike Korio, she wasn't truthfully sure how she felt about Ysocla. Whilst her and Korio sat at an awkward balance between duties as Yumiwak's right and left hand (she was the right, obviously), Ysocla was more of a high ranking foot soldier. Whilst Zai was still hesitant to trust anyone that wasn't Yumiwak, she didn't fear Ysocla as she knew that, in likelyhood, she wouldn't rise to attempt to replace her. She was also decidedly more competent than Korio was, but that was another mode of thinking entirely. Zai arrived at the airship soon enough, and began to look for the foot soldier aboard the grand ship. OOC: @pokemonlover360 @EmperorWhenua @Tarn
  25. IC: Falh - Zakaz, Outside Navu's Hut ("....even in the face of armageddon.") "Enough talk." Falh spat, feeling the ice blade in his hands as he exited the hut himself, facing Datrox directly. "I'm sick of your words." His optics glowed ruby red behind the Felnas. The two stared at each other yet again. Falh's vision was unbroken. It should have been the two of them versus the monsters that had come to their home, but Datrox had chosen to give the monsters quarter. Why had he done that? Did he feel remorse, regret after the things they did to Metru-Nui? It didn't matter. He'd betrayed the Toa. And for that, Karvan would perish. And, as quick as a flash, the icy blade in his hand soared through the air towards Datrox's torso. OOC: @Tarn
