Spooder. Cerberus... Cerbider? Cerbeorak?? And finally, day 400! Decided to dedicate it to my upcoming fangame. Not gonna actually use it for promotion, the paper didn't cooperate and it ended up not as good as I'd want it, but it's neat. Going on break again, giving some more time to irl stuff and mah games, I'll report when something decisive happens.

Hi 'Twas time for some more Mega Man. I seem to gravitate towards Crash Man. I got inspired by The Riddle's music video. That kinda thing takes more time that I have oops. Figured I'd make a Hordika plushie at some point. Wanted to draw Good Guy, wasn't in the mood to draw Good Guy. Though guy good. Can sb with a Biosector01 account go to Kamen's trivia section and change it so it doesn't claim it's spelled "kámən"? That's the pronunciation (kah-muhn), it's still spelled kamen. Thanks. Anyway this is a highlight of this batch. Zorro. Vahki plushie. Now in Colour! See you tomorrow! Day 400 is almost ready.

Almost at 400!.. Prompted by a game of Bonkle. Ideas well going dry. Greeeeeeen Take 2 of cartoony Krekka. Chicken Random scribbling-based landscape again, I like this one. I had leftover mixed paint so I made another one. Pomhat & Kemtar. Yes Ik it's not matching designs dont @ me And finally a composition based on a photo from my phone. Cat unfortunately not included. See you in 1 and 2 weeks I guess. Gettin' close
-
hello. New batch Nightmare fuel. A redraw of an earlier piece. Came out better but still not good. BALLOON At this point, the landscape success rate seems to be alternating between good and bad. This one came out quite well. This one's cool but compositionally mid. Wanted to do a cartoony Krekka but it didn't really come out as I wanted. Does have the idiot aura though. And now, a mid that mid so hard it bad. This one's cool but mid in shaping and rendering. You can tell these landscapes are easy to make.
-
I, once again, forgor Tamaru again, love 'im. Exploring how that Krika did numbers, I tried a Nidhiki. Came out ok (tho I like the play of lines at the bottom) Cracker As an experiment I let the watercolours decide my landscape and let the piece make itself. Good result, you'll see more of this approach towards day 400. Almost easier to make than the plushies. You know 'im, you love 'im. That failed Core Hunter experiment paid off here. Iruini Another landscape sketch, this time not as epic as the first attempt. Acrylics seem to be my strongest medium (but they take so much time...........). I'm at a point where 400 is getting close, and I have an idea already, though it's not gonna be nearly as impressive as day 300.

Thank you! I am once again coming with more art Plushie time again. Here's a cat loaf bean. :3 Continuing with non-Bionicle plushies, here's a Yellow Devil (Mega Man) plushie. Got chomped. Revisiting an old classic. Nupie Dark Hunter Nidhiki would've probably been more recognizable, but I went with (my take on) the Toa form instead. On a bus trip home I was doodlin' and got a bird character. So I drew 'im. birb. I'll use the context of the bus trip to note smth. In the case I get a job or study (or whatever that'll take a bunch of time), I'll likely stop the challenge (perhaps finishing the 100), at which point if I have time I'll switch to fewer pieces with more dedicated time. Anyway, here's Pridak. Redesign of day 112, trying to make him more interesting while creating the vibe I wanted. So I took inspiration from baroque fashion (assuming I googled it right). High class individual with severe anger issues. Had a driving-related course recently, inspired to make a pie-BRAKE!!! Anyway, more next week as usual.

more... new... but not more new intro... And we start off with a quite generic protagonist, meant to be the hero to the villain from a few posts back. This is what happens when a character doesn't get their due process. MEGA MAN PLUSHIE O R B I was dry on ideas and tried making a plushie of a Bohrok in a ball. As an experiment, I tried 'regular' Krika to see if it'd do numbers. It didn't Chimken Using the strategy from the first few drawings of this centdrawe (100 drawings) I found a photo of some chickens in a nice composition. So I drew that. I toyed around with some cool mechanical wings (similarly to the Toa Vahi from way back) and I think it's got vibes. As you may have noticed, I've come to the point where I gotta do plushies again. This is the start of a new batch. See you next week with more new.

It is time once more (I'm running out of openers again) Is Metall. From Mega Man. Enjoy Is Mega Man. From Mega Man. Enjoy Is Stronius. From- actually not Mega Man. Chonker This combiner model is so dang cute (Hapaka). Want. I wanted to do smth with the Red Star but couldn't be bothered. Is Ice Met. From Mega Met. Enjoy. Is end of post. Enjoy!
-
DON'T MAKE ME WANNIT It is once again time. Idk why Krika always ends up being the subject of awesome art. I guess he has an aura of awesomeness. This on the other hand, meh. Spectral mask. Tried this trick again with painting in negative, not quite the same success as last time with Velika. Here's a Kestora. Not the strongest but it came out alright. I was considering doing MerMay. Didn't wanna deal with figuring out what and how to draw every day. So here's one-off mermaid for the vibe. Rebel Nature thing again, this one I hope I did justice. The original is a programmer art sketch with lore. And to finish off, here's Bitil. Got to day 350! I gotta start thinking about what to do for day 400... Those plushies got me some big shoes to fill.
-
A better batch this time More Rebel Nature, the ECO-Unit. Dunno if I represented its story right but it looks cool so it's fine. Back to Lyrestruck baybee. Kind of a redraw of day 57 (Irina falling), with the new story beats after restructuring. I ran out of buffer, it's plushie time again! Good ol' Terry. And for some variety, here's a ladybug. This is Roodaka, if you can believe it. MIKU I was gonna just draw the Nuva cube but I couldn't be bothered with proportions so I made it soft. Regular reminder that I'm open for requests and commissions.
-
nah I just built him at one point for fun with no real goal.
-
Hi I forgot Wasn't really feeling it that day. Though I was amused that the diminished form of Kalama only appears when zapped. I find the matorans messed up by Karzahni interesting though they need more time than I can give them. Here's Balta, here's Kazi (looking kinda ok but the composition's bad), and Dalu. For something more aesthetically pleasing, here's Ahkmou sinking. I drew this OC a while back, an old self-MOC of mine (I named him Albus.. I'm not the best at names). Still haven't done him justice.. I love archery..... And finally, a basic scene I saw IRL. The drawing itself is bland. See you next week! Hopefully! I'm out of buffer and need to spam some drawings so I have smth to post.

[new post by BBLIR] Starting off with a simple one. eepy boy Here I wanted to make a quick one, with a face, but that didn't really turn out as the simple motif I expected. Fun colours though. It it. This one was actually a simple one. It helps to make the thing you wanna draw often simple. Don't ask me about the 3rd dimension. I wanted like a crazy perspective, fish eye effect, but meh. Needs a revisit. I don't draw enough Mega Man. Here's a Yellow Devil. Now this one's a banger. Another Rebel Nature thing, with attitude. Time to build up the ol' buffer again, expect some more Bonkles. [/new post by BBLIR]

The thing on his face is meant to be like a bruise as part of a disease, though the robot wearing skin is also an apt concept. A quick drawing. Speaks for itself really. More Lyrestruck, this time featuring Estera, the sword-wielding powerhouse. Here lies another series idea that went nowhere, featuring Preston Stormer with a bit of a redesign. Design's cool but meh Looking through my phone I found an old MOC, so I decided to draw that, experimenting a bit with the style idea I started with Ahkmou. Here's von Ness again, with the same style experiment. Captured his essence a bit better this time. Same here with Stormer. Here's a cute one, a group of marching percussion-based robots. I will end this batch too with a reminder that I am still open for both requests and commissions. Enjoy.
-
Thank you! Yeah I try to keep my range wide, experimenting whenever I can. Purple's an awesome colour. It's a fact Mostly it's because I can't be bothered by the details lol, though it does help with being able to use the art as a more general example, without the Bionicle context. Alright, the quest continues; 'twas a request over at the parallel TTV thread, Gelhennan. (For clarity, Toa of Water, he/him) Ok finally delivering on character design and it's. eh. I took a bad guy from one of my old retired game projects and redesigned him to be more interesting. I went with a sorta incompetent but dangerous type, which hopefully came through. Another Rebel Nature entry, it's a Storm Demon. I love how this thing looks as a MOC, so I picked to draw it based off vibes. You're gonna be seeing a lot of Lyrestruck in the near future. Stuff's getting good. Here I drew Irina observing her ****** box instrument, which is a placeholder instrument at the start of the game. Benny!!! Another Rebel Nature thing. Love 'im. Irina plushie. Want. And finally, a 'No, I will not stop'. It's ya boy, Ahkmou again. I will end this batch with a reminder that I am still open for both requests and commissions. Enjoy.

Ok this is the first post where I branch out in themes. Lemme know if you're interested, or just wanna see Bonkles. OVER 9000!! I couldn't be bothered to draw anatomy so I did smth stupid. I saw this scene irl and in that moment I knew I had to draw it. It tells a story by just existing. This ones' kinda unclear, but it's some dirt and rocks being suspended in midair by roots. Another thing I wanna do more of is landscapes. I tried doing some with Bionicle underwater stuff but I couldn't make them dark. So here I went bright and it paid off. And here's the first Bionicle piece of this centdrawee, and I don't think I need to explain what it is. Not really proud of it though. You're also gonna be seeing more Lyrestruck, especially now that I'm restructuring, more to vibe with. So I drew the gate that a lot of people skipped. And finally, I'm gonna be drawing some of the Rebel Nature contest entries. Here's one that is a really cute model and I tried keeping some of that while attempting to make it threatening. The next drawing is Bionicle so I will for sure be making a post, but again plz lemme know if the rest is interesting and/or if I should rename the thread.
-
Hello hello I'm about to start posting batches of art again, though I've branched out from Bionicle and started doing other fanart and general art (cats, landscapes, Miku etc.). Lemme know if that's interesting enough and relevant to the thread, if not I'll still post the Bionicle art as I make them (eg. so far there's been 2 in about 8). And for added value to this post, here's a piece I made for the 1 year anniversary back in March. See you tomorrow.
-
I have yet to draw the Mask of Creation or Ekimu half-decently. And the main attraction, day 300! PLUSHIE MANIA!! This is a double whammy of an overly-ambitious first page and day 300, and so it's extra big. The drawing and inking took forever, usually these take around an hour an a half, sometimes more, Mata Nui took 2 days, this took 5. I'll definitely do smth for the anniversary (March 25th iirc), as for when I return, I think I'll take a longer break this time, to build up my buffer more (I've had to do plushie batches a lot recently), and give myself some time to do character designs. See you in a few weeks!
-
**soon** I thought to myself "doing so many plushies in a row seems kinda repetitive, let's try a minifigure to make smth fast". I didn't enjoy it. I wanted to save this one by doing interesting stuff over it with masks but the acrylics ate it up. And back to plushies. I don't draw Lyrestruck characters enough, so I made another plushie, this time of Estera. Continuing the latest batch of plushies here is Takanuva. And here's Zaktan with noodle arms. And I figured, since I've changed the way I draw plushies over this challenge, I'd draw Macku again. Not the best but it's neat. And finally a redo of the pre-pit mutation Carapar. Still gotta update the design but it's better than day 59. I have implemented all the requests for day 300, here's a preview see you on Tuesday!
-
Coming up on day 300!! Continuing with plushies with backgrounds, here's Tanma. I like the Makuta Stone, it's got attitude (and is quite fun to draw). Drew a Vahi, with references this time. It's a pain in the butt to draw. Back to plushies, here's Matoro. I'm running out of things to say, here's a plushie of Breez. I got a request to draw Solek and Tanma after posting Photok, so here's a plushie to complete the set of Av-matoran. Tried shading with pencils. Next week will be more filler, since I'm still working on my submission to the Rebel nature contest, and the week after that will feature day 300 and the start of a new sketchbook. I'm combining two major artwork spots. Maybe I'll do something special for the 1 year anniversary, which will not be day 355 because breaks.
-
NEW! Local artist uses references wow! (though I kinda obscured it because I did a bad job). This piece is really strong, except for the fact that the staff is really thin. Now comes the really good stuff. I've been meaning to depict this scene for a while and I finally did. The drawing itself is kinda mid but it has vibes. I love the Kingdom alternate universe. Idk if it's the post-apocalypse vibe or specific moments but it just fuels my inspiration. And now back to plushies. With every batch I try smth new, this time I'm giving them partial backgrounds, and in the case of these first 3, they are made to match. I love Kongu. This batch of plushies will continue since I'm gonna submit a thing to the Rebel Nature contest, so the next post is gonna be a bunch of small random stuff.
-
Yeah, I like vibrant colours. To the point that I often add fluorescent paints to make dull oranges pop (like on Toa Hafu for example) I am once again running out of starters lets go Y'know, I kinda liked the Bohrok Va design I made for Day 1 and it kinda got lost in perspective. So I drew Kohrak Va in a simpler view. That one was kinda quick so I also made a plushie. want Not much to say here other than crab. Plushie time again! Here's Jovan in canon colours (I saw [an artwork on Bluesky](https://bsky.app/profile/bonklechicken.bsky.social/post/3lgzfifdewk26) and agreed with it). I decided to try different proportions, and when that got messy, I experimented with the background. jemtbgu And finally, a fine-lookin' plushie of Vastus. I'm gonna end this post by mentioning my art commissions again for anyone interested (see last week's post) and a teaser - the next batch might be the strongest yet :).

The colour choice is mainly because it's an awesome colour (to look at and work with)
-
Thank you! Reference february ain't going too well stronk I've been thinking about drawing a combiner plushie for a while and I've finally done it. Funny name, funny colours, attempt at a ruru. I'm not really sure what I think about this piece. The Ignika came out well, but the vibe of the pencil lines got lost, and I haven't been able to get the vibe I want for the Pit mutagen with watercolours. But the vibes of the Kingdom AU were too good to ignore. Icarax, featuring a study (-ish) of bat wings. Haven't been able to get the bat makuta wings down yet. Now this one's a banger. The Kingdom AU again, with two takanuvas. The noble avohkii kinda works. I got inspired to draw one of these monsters, and it aight. And now, it's time... (-ish): for a while I've been considering (and now setting up) art commissions. And because I haven't gotten a response from Twonter and Bluesky, I'll promote the test run here too; [more=Info] I haven't really decided on pricing yet so here's placeholder stuff. (I also haven't updated page 4 to include forum PMs, but that's also an option) [/more] Have a look if you're at all interested, otherwise see you next week. (I may have an idea of what I'm gonna do for the next sketchbook's overly ambitious first page :^) )

thank you! Aight, bblirue period is over, time for a new batch; Toa Hafu - he has an element mix of stone and plasma, which I figured would help with his carving and stuff. Toa Taipu - his elements I decided on last, so I had a few options. I picked Plant Life/the Green/Jungle mostly to separate him from Hafu. And the mix goes well together, so yay. I had fun with this one lol. Kapura's slow, so it'd be boring to give him a Kakama, instead I gave him a Calix, to make sure his slow movement is extra impressive. Secondary element of gravity fits the vibe. And I couldn't think of any weapons so I gave him hooks to assist slow combat. And finally, Toa Macku. I mentioned it would've made more sense to give the group elements that would contrast the main one's colours, but the colour similarities actually ended up being a plus, since the Toa I assigned leadership gets that contrast. With gold even! As for deputy, probably Taipu or Kopeke. And wouldn't be Takua's Chronicler's company without the man himself. I dunno if I want this group to be in alliance with Takanuva or be fighting a corrupted Takanuva, but either way, I made him a combo toa of light and shadow, which is what inspired the whole two-element.. element of these Toa. And here's the gang all in one image. I wanted to give myself some time after that so it's plushie time again! Here's Rocka. And, finally, an Irina plushie. Long overdue. Want. Anyway, expect some more plushies and either a rise or dip in quality next time. I plan to more actively use references this month to improve my proportions intuition.
