The turbine is directly under Pohatu's foot when flying. If the fan is what's keeping the weapon aloft, why throw it in the first place?

Because there are enemies in the distance that need a good boomerang to the head. The turbine would help him get his boomerang back faster and plus Pohatu is confirmed to throw the boomerangs
I fail to see how a fan in the middle would do anything other than interfere horribly with the flight of an otherwise practically perfected weapon.

I dunno, I personally only use the boomerangs as swords for some reason, they look more BA than the actual swords,

Swords, shields, boomerangs and they can snap shut on a limb during mêlée combat. I think using them as swords is missing the possibilities.

    Bionicle chapter book #1

    Bionicle activity book #1

Both are listed as releasing on August 25. The chapter book is written by Ryder Windham, who seems to have written or contributed on numerous Star Wars books and novelizations. The activity book says "with mask", but I doubt it will be an exclusive mask given that comparable activity books for themes such as Ninjago or Friends never include exclusive figs.

Interesting that they say "Legos Bionicle is back with a new never before seen story". Or something along those lines. Seems kinda weird.

  3. I wrote my first story!

Crotesius had to get back to the village. He had to! If he didn’t his best friend might not live to see sunrise. He picked Keeru up and helped him walk back to the Cendox. Keeru moaned in pain with every step. “I’m so sorry”  Crotesius whispered, out of breath from carrying the other Agori. They had been exploring ruins that Keeru had found the day before, when Keeru hit a trap set by whoever had lived there. The old Thornax fruit had rotted, so there was little damage, but the explosion dislodged some stones causing Keerus legs to be trapped. His only chance for survival was having  his friend amputate one of his legs, or he would end up as food for the Zesk. Now they had little time to get back to the village before Keeru bled out. Crotesius started the Cendox, its engines almost loud enough to drown out Keeru’s  moans of pain. Almost. Through tears, Crotesius rode through the vast Bara Magna desert, his friend strapped to the back of his craft.

Keeru , despite all of his pain saw the Skrall before Crotesius. “skrall”  he whispered, his voice shaky with pain and fear. He whispered it a second time before Crotesius heard him, and finally saw the skrall. Crotesius hoped the skrall wouldn’t notice them, and they could drive in peace. The skrall, had other ideas, and started stalking them, hiding in the dunes. Finally, it confronted the pair, bursting out of the sand, brandishing its new toy. “CORDAK” Crotesius screamed in terror. The skrall took aim and Crotesius tried to hit him with his own launcher. The Thornax went astray, but the skralls shot didn’t. Crotesius and Keerus world was suddenly light and thunder, then infinite darkness…..

So what do you guys think?

I am very, VERY disappointed that Skull Slicer's right part of arms do not turn. Lego's missed a huge opportunity to have four-arm-moving-action.

They don't? Do you have a picture or something that proves it? I haven't looked at him much.

From some angles, you can see there is no black gear on his left side, and there doesn't seem to be room for the other gears, either.

Ok thanks! I was just wondering.

I've made a decision. The only sets that are must buys are Basher and Grinder. Warrior will be close behind, but gotta get that money. As for Slicer and Scorpion, they'll have to wait 'till almost October.

Something you might miss in that image: Skull Slicer (with four arms) has a unique weapon in one of his left hands. It is a bright red chain thing, with a grappler at the end, supposedly to grab a mask.

Its also attached to Skull Scorpion, which either means he is somehow related to SS (Think Vezon and Fennrakk), or garbage toy fair posing.

Hey, maybe Skull Slicer has a pet Skull Scorpio, and Skull Grinder has a pet Lord of Skull Spiders!

    Nice!

  7. So, I'm looking to fill up my CCBS bins with more useful parts(to many torsos) and I was wondering which of the new sets has the best parts? The protectors look like my best bet, but I'm open to suggestions. (Note, its not limited just to ccbs, just the most useful parts)

As long as you don't mind the gold and red combo, you'll love Tahu. The LoSS is a very good set but the function is a level below that of the 2001 Rahi.

I'm ok with the PoF as long as I don't think about his lack of elbows while looking at him

I wouldn't worry about the elbows thing, you don't really notice it. PoI is another story though.

  8. You're not really modding the parts. It's considered more of a "repair" since you're just replenishing layers of plastic/acrylic to help tighten the joints and increase friction.

Still, I like to keep parts 100 as Lego sent them.

  9. If the friction pin's lose, just brush on a few layers of this stuff (wait 24 hours in between each application).

Ah-mazing. Wait 24 hours for the final coat the fully cure and it'll be super durable.

I try not modifying parts, but I will consider that!
