Question -- rules say your entry must not be published prior to this contest. Does this mean published on bzpower or published on any website?
-
Marvel. At some point, you absolutely have to do Marvel Superheroes. It's one of the best LEGO games out there.
-
Ponuvatron all the way
-
The skull priest is wicked awesome, pun intended and everything, but the electric Piraka took my vote.
-
Gah, Ponuvatron's stuck with Morgadogg and Nydoretha... I'm doomed.
Oh come on. sometimes detail isn't everything. I for one am an extreme fan of your style man.

Those Skull Warriors can't aim.
Skull Warriors confirmed for undead stormtroopers, Bionicle G2 confirmed to take place in the SW universe
(that would explain why Kulta looks a bit like Darth Vader)
Dude, great minds think alike. The post above yours.

Those Skull Warriors can't aim. They can't even hit people who're standing still .
Anyways, I chuckled at the lines and Onua accidently destroying the bridge. I can see the whole "Onua breaking up Tahu and Kopaka's fights" thing becoming a running gag .
Skull Warriors are dead Stormtroopers confirmed.

Just went through Skull Grinder's combo model instructions. It actually made me smile - the entire setup, the way of the build, the parts, it actually reminded me of the old Bionicle instructions, like the Boxor or other sets. A step in the right direction at least. They just need to find MUCH better site builders...

I'm sorry to say this but the writing made me cringe. The whole structure seemed like it was smashed together. Needless to say I will still be reading that and whatever other books come out no matter how hard they are to tolerate. Hopefully it will be better when we can read the whole book.
Hurrah for names. Although it feels like the names were chosen by the keyboard-smash technique, I still kinda like them. Still deciding my thoughts on the whole thing.

I like beautiful pictures and these are no exception. The fact that they are Bionicle only really adds to their charm

Ebay's a godsend when it comes to out-of-reach exclusives.
Except for when it's listed on Ebay already as "$199 ORDER NOW PREORDER EXCLUSIVE MASK" then the chances aren't that good. I do hope for more reasonable listings in the future (when it actually comes out) though.

A few of us might have accidentally talked about it in the chat because we forgot, but not in the actual video.
Edit: This is meant to be a reply to post #9 but my quote thing isn't working.

There are many different ways to paint masks or Bionicle parts, but since paint does not willingly stick to plastic you may need to do a bit more than just paint - otherwise you'll find the paint will flake off and eventually you'll be left with what you started with.
I recommend using some sort of primer beforehand, painting it all over the mask and letting that dry. As for the types of paints to use, I mainly just use cheap acrylic paints that you can get at any arts & crafts store. Put these on after the primer is dry and they will stick for quite a long time.
If you do not want to hand paint the masks, you can get spray paint as a replacement for the acrylic. Then you can do details with a small brush and acrylics.
Hope this helped!

It's nice to know that the guys designing the website are so good at their job.
LOL! I Noticed that. Why is Onua always the victim of the typo?
The web designers hate him. It's a secret conspiracy in which the designers work for a man who has a boss who works alongside a boss of a guy with glasses who has a guy without glasses as his partner who is in touch with Makuta this whole time. The website is being influenced by him, and Makuta hates Onua.

The song gives me a little rush of adrenaline each time I hear it. I don't know why. I'm also looking for a good cut of the music, but the part where the music gets louder. Dangit, trying to explain sounds with words is so hard.

Holy cow! I never thought I would find myself getting a Mixel, but those steampunk ones look mighty tempting...
-
Kind of disappointing that the blades and Lewa's and the MoCr were prototypes, but I guess it's okay compared to the amount of info and pictures we got. I'm not gonna pick favorites out of them because they're all a bit sad-looking in my eyes, but they're not as bad as I originally thought. I just hope we get better sets next year.
Now I gotta figure out where all the money for these sets is coming from.
-
More than I was hoping for, but at the same time less. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't exactly this. So they're good, not too good, I guess "okay" in my eyes. Would love to have those leg parts though.

Best: Ekimu vs Skull Grinder.
Both Ekimu and Skellington man look nice, with consistent colour schemes. The set also comes with three masks so that's cool, including the Mask of Creation. The green on Ekimu's Protector mask is a little weird though.
Worst: Skull Scorpio
This set is a mess, that's all I can say about it. The legs are stuck in place and can't move at all, and the "tail" looks like a big lump of scaffolding got glued to the back of a spider, even if it does have an interesting function.
Ekimus mask is gold and blue actually
And I kinda like skull scorpio,
My order 1 to 5, 1 being the best
1. MM vs SG
2. SB
3. Skull Scorpio
4. SW
5. Skull slicer
His mask has a bit of green on it.
That might be just the result of a tint, or it may be because of the yellow/gold mixed with blue creating green results. I'll have to look more closely at the picture.

Worst: They're all pretty disappointing. Not bad, just disappointing. The colors are kind of cool, but when you put both trans blue and trans orange together... why would you even think of doing that in the first place? Skull Warrior has my vote as worst.
Best: Well of course for all the collectible/usable parts, Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder. So many parts, and so many new or exclusive parts at that!
-
Very, very neat! It captures the "Gelu" look perfectly. Nice job.
-
Neat. I take it this is an alternate model for Protector of Jungle?
The Protector masks function so well as bird heads!
-
1. More recolors. They started on that already but the more colors we have, the better.
2. More eyestalk colors. We only get trans yellow, trans red, and trans blue so far.
3. More add-ons. These can really bring the sets to a whole new level. We have two so far(winter wave and this August) but a load more would be awesome. LEGO should realize that the add-ons are especially usable by all audiences, for younger ones they can be used for quick customization of a guy and for older fans they could become something else entirely(finding a use for one as a head or other piece). This is my most major thing I'd like to see.
4. More of the add-on chest plates. At first I was a bit sad that all the chest plates had decals on them, but it's actually really quite nice.
5. More masks. Mask packs, mask extras, but the recolors(protectors, golden masks, trans masks later this year) are getting a bit annoying.
-
It sort of depends on the play value. I'm already quite content with the sets as they are. If you add too many functions or abilities, it might get confusing and not as fun for younger players, especially counting for that there would have to be some connection point system that could possible be hard for younger fans to operate.
It is quite nice to have weapons storage sometimes, but especially in these sets it isn't needed.

Great thanks! I will enter Nytebite my vampire MOC then. Now I'm thankful I didn't already post him here.
