oh dang
Props for working in that olive green, I wasn't sure there was even enough of that color for something like this to be feasable. Excellent work here. The shaping of the face must have been quite difficult.

Will be there starting tomorrow, with 12 mocs to display.

Yeah, Flickr is pretty good, as Makaru explained. I wouldn't recommend Deviant Art, because while there are LEGO fan groups you can join, it isn't the safest in terms of the mature content that is displayed throughout pages of the site. BZPower has an official group on Flickr, which you can join.
I think either using Flickr or BZPower's own gallery system is the best option. I'm not sure about Imgur and Brickshelf, as I've never visited them as a actual user of their respective sites, and uploaded content.
Deviantart is large and bloated, some internet connections struggle to load it. Just checking in on it now and my internet which is three times faster than it was before (comcast never again) is having trouble. Of course this still pales in comparison to the old AOL dial up days, but it makes the site a less attractive option. Not sure about your mature content complaint, it's always locked behind a wall unless your account is listed as being a mature age - though if a poster doesn't flag their own content, some things may slip through. I actually can't remember a time in nearly three active years of having used it (for 'art' purposes when I was younger, but anyway) that I've seen real adult content out in the blue. Though there is a pretty large deal of lewd stuff, and profanity from some users (I'm not saying everyone is a sailor-mouth, but some are), which are valid concerns. I haven't actively used it in three years, so maybe my experience isn't quite so accurate to what's going on over there now.
Brickshelf has been struggling to stay online recently, it seems. It's still a good photo sharing site, but there's no community integration outside of linking to it from other websites.
I'd personally say Flickr is the best option - plus you can 'join' groups there as Rooster mentioned, to post your content to and get more attention (well you can do that on deviantart, too) , if your photos are near-professional quality, sometimes you will be featured by Explore (like deviantart's 'daily deviations', but far more than 10 a day are featured), which can give you a pretty serious signal boost. Three of my photographs so far have been featured, and the one least visited by explore viewers has double the view count than the next most popular photo of mine (2000-some views to 800 some views). The vast majority of those will be people have no interest in lego, but a handful may stick around to see what new content you make for the quality of your creations or photography.
I haven't used BZP's system, though, so I can't speak for that.

If that one bionicle double-deck couch someone made had been saved for this, it would surely be the winner.

I've made transparent dye before. A paint that gives a translucent effect. (Water, Blue Paint, and Salt) Which allowed me to make the effect of an underwater city. It shouldn't be too hard to find out how to apply that to plastic. Now if only I could get a molding machine...
So you have polycarbonate or a similar material to make the masks from?
-
I'm tempted to mold Gali's mask and make everyone here their own translucent version. Seems as fair as what Lego pulled.
To be honest I don't think Lego is taking Bionicle seriously at all. The uneven effort in design, the issues in storytelling, even promotions like this. It's all a game to them in my opinion. I think Bionicle needs to be treated as it once was. With dedication and community.
After seeing those design videos which tell us a whole lot of nothing, I sincerely doubt how anyone could seriously believe that they care very much about the reboot.

Sligmor backstabs everyone!
Seriously though, that head is fantastic. Rest of his anatomy is pretty tight, also.

Just had to vote for #2, nice shapes going on there.

probably belongs in the artwork category?
-
I think the one with toa Ignika is your strongest.
The titles starting with 'YO YO' kept me chuckling for a good while!
-
There's a link to a youtube video in the comments of the article featuring the scarab emblem that might be the VHS. Pretty interesting stuff.

pretty much about the same, since I never made an account until BBCC 69
used to post on mocpages under the name 'xiazeran' until around 2008, then I left lego during the glaitorian years and now I'm back

I love these and would buy every single one of them
especially the forest and worm ones

I like the shaping of these figs bodies; makes me think of Kachina dolls (which really helps keep the tribal theme together).
Also gives off a monster-huntery sort of vibe. Good use of parts!

MMMnNMMNMnnnnMNMNM dat torso shaping... legs are a little weak, but the rest makes up for that pretty well.
I wish that they had the other masks be winnable by contests also, I was out of Bionicle and Lego in general and didn't get back into it until around the semi-finals...

I really like these designs. Any backstories for them yet?
While their shortness is not really likey to me (nor the fact that you used no CCBS nor glatorian hands, but it's a question of taste and choice so I won't judge) I have to admit these are really impressive. You sure know how to make improbable pieces work in such improbable places (the mask and helmets as shoulder and torso armor, the glatorian heads as upper limbs, now that is genius). Pros also to their awesome weapons. The stone one has a really nice asymmetrical compositon and color scheme. Is he an hordika perhaps?
Thanks, I'm particularly proud of the metal one. Don't use the Glatorian hands because they're disgusting- just my opinion, though.
Idea behind them is that the stone toa dons a mask which turns out to be evil, and attempts to corrupt his body entirely, hence the red and black stuff and the staff. The evil mask makes the stone toa terrorize his own district and the rest of his team has to take him down (he's naturally the second strongest of the group, and the mask adds further strength). Upon subduing the toa of stone, the team is at a lack of any way to turn him back - the mask cannot be removed, it seems.
At some point, somehow it would be revealed that Groghnark the ProfaneFlickr (an entity sealed on a supernatural plane long ago) is the figure responsible for the mask, and is attempting to re-enter the world through manipulation of the toa of stone. He succeeds somehow (toa of Stone opens a portal or something I guess) and despair and mania take hold in the untouched districts... past that I'm not sure. Maybe I'll turn this into a little mini series thing when I have the time.

What did you use for the White shoulders on the Ice Toa?
It looks like Mahri Visors, but in White.
You're correct. I don't know what sets had them, I saw them on Bricklink. Probably some Technic vehicle.
To be honest, I don't understand your naming of the characters. White/Orange in canon is Plasma, and Blue/Gold is Psionics. Just saying that might get a bit confusing for some people.
Ice?
Don't you mean Plasma?
Huh, I never got into the stories or anything when I was little, so almost anything lore-wise is beyond me. That is interesting though, these other elements may be better in fitting with the alternate elements thing I have going on for a part of the team.

Brickshelf is pretty much the best for lego images. Very easy to set up and start, linking directly to an image works right after you upload.
Flickr's alright, but it's geared toward proper photography and Imgur is considered the best image hosting site by many, easy to share and set up albums, but I haven't used it much myself.
Now to the point, I like the shape of this little guy. Maybe needs some more dark red in places, but it's nice. Maybe fitting those pincers on some arms that can move would help the eyes to not be so close to the claws.
-
Here are some characters I've made up, no real story or anything to them. At the very least I'll draw each of them in something like a movie-form but closer to the mocs... eventually.
View the same photo set on Flickr or Brickshelf
Comments, Criticisms? I designed each to be the same size as toa mata; they're intentionally short. A few were just slapped together *cough* fire toa *cough* so I know there is some room to improve.

Maybe one of those superhero heads would help, or even better yet, the head that's going to be released for Luke with the new Star Wars CCBS sets. Plus a white cape of some kind for the flowing coat.

I have to add one small correction - the mask is made of resin. The only metal is a powder coating on the surface that makes it copper.
