  1. This is awesome. Want to get done, cant justify paying 10 bucks for shipping, when im only paying 8 bucks for the mask, doesnt make any sense. You dont happen tohave the files for those so i could print my own?
  2. When I first saw the first couple pictures I was super excited, but by the end I was quite disappointed... Every single line in Bionicle which is one of the reasons that I have absolutely loved Bionicle over the years was that for every good guy there's a bad guy... This is the only time that this has not happened... I feel like LEGO is just throwing money away by doing this. Why wouldn't you make the 2 sets? The sets themselves... I like the idea of the skeleton type look great idea, not necessarily sure they were able to capture the idea idea in the right way though... The giant chest pieces? why? Skull warrior, looks cool I like him weapon choice I feel like is a bit lacking, but I can look past that. Skull Slicer, I instantly think of general grievous... And a re-used mask, but I love the colors. Skull Basher, Love the colors! Why the Fun would you not use horns that are filled in completely... If they weren't filled in on the underside, that's one thing, but the way that it will be displayed will forever look bad now. Skull Scorpio.... Really? A lamer version of the nui-rama that doesn't really have a legit enemy here, huge disappointment... Mask Maker... Meh I just don't care about him in the least, not in this form. Skull grinder is by far my favorite out of all of these, maybe the only savior out of all of these sets. The mask with the horns, great job at creating the look of a villain. Overall still can't get pass the fact that there's sets missing here, that's the biggest trope of all of this for me... LEGO what are you doing?
  3. Just got confirmation from a very reliable source that it will be happening in March for my local stores Will be looking forward to making a bunch of purchases at this time.
  4. Now it shows them all as being available on 1/1/15 WOOT!
  5. There really isn't much Lego can do to stop people from releasing this sort of information short of not sending out retailer catalogs, which isn't much of an option. And them wanting to protect their information does not make them look like "a bad guy," it's, again, their information, and the people who release leaks are breaking the law. It isn't a difficult concept to grasp that as such, Lego does not want that publicized, and it's not a serious problem that BZPower chooses to respect the wishes of the company that this entire website is kind of about. Admittedly, the way they do it with news stories like these might be a bit counterproductive, but still, it's tiring to have to keep reading posts like these. BZPower is not going to stop adhering to their leaks policy simply because some people can't be bothered to wait for official information. Everyone should just be patient. It's an old way of doing business though. There are many new ways you can take care of things like this, sure you may still have it, but it's due to the wrong people in the wrong place. And keep in mind perception is reality, so they could very easily look like a bad guy in this. If it were something LEGO didn't support it would probably be different, they at least understand what power BZP has around the Bionicle world, which makes there investment here a large stakeholder. It's just a bit of something that they have their hand in too much, ultimately making it less of a fan site in the end for me. I can't say I ever remember the Leak Policy being what it is now, or at least it ever being enforced, although that was some time ago. I just remember seeing multiple images not Officially released by LEGO on the front page of BZP news is all, I miss the speculation and actual talk about the sets and believed ideas. BZP was a good place for that back then, I just miss having that here is all.
  6. This is where I've always felt BZP has shot itself in the foot with it's support of LEGO and evidently control over it as well... It's unfortunate that a place for fans of the series can not find or discuss these things here, since it is the biggest Bionicle community after all. And people will continue to seek these things out especially when posts like this are made to make everyone aware that leaked images are among the interwebs. And they're really really easy to find too... Which ironically does the opposite for LEGO when they enforce things like this. Maybe invest in some better security LEGO? Then you don't look like a bad guy and end up creating a win-win out of the situation.
  7. Wooohoooo. Just hope that they're not gonna try and do a complete re-boot or use up too many old story lines. The enemy here already looks like a certain spider enemy that we had before Also, hope hope they're not exactly like what the Hero Factory were too. Either way there's a great opportunity here to make something that was great even better. Just hope that they have the right people in place to do that!
  8. Yeah, it seems this happens WAY too frequently on this site than any other forum that I have been apart of. It still amazes me how much this happens. Silver lining is that we're back, just seems like a waste to be on here sometimes..
  9. Yeah I like painting them Gives you something unique that LEGO couldnt provide you with
  10. Lol it's sad because it's true. really surprised that there were so few votes. Seems the site has realllllly gone down the hill ever since Bionicle died. Fewer and fewer of us still on here. Plus with all the issues on the site not surprised. Congrats to Eris!
  11. Very cool. Looks like a frog that drank up some toxic waste and hulked out. lol Good stuff
  12. On which ones do you find the paint job lacking? Just wondering... Some of them have been built and played with pretty much right after the Nuva came out. So back in like 2002 or 2003 I think. Possibly coming up on 10 years then.. Wow. I never bothered to touch up some of them. Mostly the areas in which the ball joints are coming off. I tried to make a fix to that with some paint thinner before applying the paint, but the paint ends up being too thick in the end and I end up leaving the actual ball joint itself too weak as well. I think the paint job turned out pretty good! Anyways nice MOC! I really like the purple ones As well as the Elite Team! Thanks I really appreciate it! If you honestly feel like the paint job isn't done so well, than I would consider stating why. An allegation such as that has little validity without reason to prove it. Stating that something could have been better really doesn't help anyone unless you also state how it can be made better. Anyways, I really enjoyed seeing all of these MoC's. They are just amazing, and I can see how much intricacy and hard work you put into each one. One of the most notable parts of every single MoC you posted was the weapons. I just absolutely love all of the weapons. They're simply outstanding and well done. I can't really say there is very much to critique as far as I'm concerned. Everything I saw for the most part was exceptionally well done. Keep up the amazing work! -Rez It's true if it's supposed to be constructive criticism at least... I really appreciate the kind words! It's been a long time coming! And I'm very happy to be able to share them all now. Haha Yeah I do remember getting MoC of the day a few different times... I think it's just randomly generated though lol. The purple ones always seemed to get the most attention. I was really surprised Lego didn't include more purple in the Bionicle line up. I would assume they had based it off of the sale of the purple slizers, probably didn't do as well as other colors. Personally, I don't like painted pieces but the reason I asked was because the pieces looked like they were plastic put into moulds. In other words, you did a good job. Was there any other pieces you painted? Oh yeah lots of painted pieces. Looking at them all right now I see 8/28 that do NOT have paint on them so basically 70% of them DO.
  13. Pretty cool moc. I like Jet, kind of looks like a similar setup to what millenia had. I believe that is his name. Wish I had all my slizers fully built still. Many pieces went to other mocs
  14. Yeah 95% of the purple you see is painted. a lot of these guys have paint on them. Some people don't appreciate the use of paint on lego pieces, but to each their own. Thank you!
  15. So it's been a while again... Just finished re-doing one of my MoC's a couple months back and figured I'm at a point where I'm 100% happy with all of them. I've been working with Post Mortem Creations to get all of these characters into a comic book. I've done quite a bit of writing on them all. It will be sometime before there is any final product of that, a few money issues with the shop and some issues from LEGO as well. I know it will all get worked out eventually. But for now I have all the characters looking exactly how I want them too for the moment at least. I've been putting this thread off for a very long time because I'm not sure I should be sharing them yet as there would be spoilers, but I'm not too worried that I will have many people reading the comics in the end anyways haha. A few of these I'm sure one or two of you guys have seen before, (I know were not supposed to post MoCs in topics again, but I honestly couldn't tell you which ones they are and I think these deserve to be displayed as a group) but most of them are all ones I've never made threads on. The pictures are pretty terrible, I literally just took pictures of how I had them displayed on my display case a little dusty too... Sorry for that. I'll put up my brickshelf where you can see some pictures of some of the older ones that I have some better pictures. So without further adieu I hope you all like. 16. That's pretty bad ###### dude! Love the use of the lime green and black... I'm assuming those are HF pieces?Really? How is [ ] bad?Edit: Do not bypass the filter, even if you do not agree with it.-Wind- Double Edit: Honest questions, or having someone just assume that I don't agree with it.... Though the way the querstion was completely avoided, classic.
  17. Yup we are in the works of making this into a comic.Lego endorsing something is completely different from what's allowed in a fan-fiction, educate yourself before trying to look smart and end up looking like a fool lmao. AGAIN official story-line is completely different from fan-fiction... There's a reason you're not bonesiii. ;)Lol at tard. I agree with the whole placing the future story on one fan, but who ever said his comics were going to be official storyline? That's like saying all the artwork and comics on BZP are completely canon and in no way fan representations. I'm not Bonesiii, but I assume that he's approved of it because it's a legitimate project that could be approved by Lego. If he says that he was supposed to talk to her, then it means he probably set up an appointment to discuss the project with her, rather than just searching "The phone number of the person who is in charge of approvals for Lego". This is different than just having one or two friends get together and make sets out of wood and keep them to themselves. His friends have opened a comic book store that would sell the comics to other people, rather than just creating one or two to keep to themselves and maybe post on BZPower. So, he hasn't been bothering Lego about a project that would only be for him and maybe his friends. He's talking with Lego to gain permission to draw and sell his own comics to others. Like I said before, it isn't a big waste of time because he'd be making a profit off of something like this, rather than making it and just keeping it in his room, pulling it out every once in a while.Anyway... I think this is a really cool idea you've got going on. I really hope that you can get the permissions to do this, because I'd buy 'em. Thanks man, I appreciate the support! Because if Lego 'approves' it then it's basically official story. Absolute ROFL. No. Absolutely no. I can't even be bothered to explain how wrong you are. It's painful. And they aren't going to give him that position in a gajillion years. Because Bionicle is Lego property, not some random guy in a comic book store, and they don't hand out the license to use it to random people who e-mail them. It doesn't work that way. So this topic is of more value than other BZP comic makers because the guy wants to make money off of it? That should make it LESS topic-worthy.You post a topic when you have a comic to post. You don't post a topic to announce you might make a topic, even if you dress it up so that those who lack common sense think it's in some way official or important or something. He's not meeting some Lego rep to discuss this. He's throwing e-mails at them, they aren't replying, because they're never going to approve it and he's wasting everybody's time.Make a comic. Post it in the art forums. Fine. Don't make a topic saying you might make a comic, particularly if you're massively delusional about it.I'm repeating myself here. But it looks like it really needs spelling out. Common sense, people, do you speak it?- TiliusDon't worry you're the only one wasting everyone's time. ;)I never said it was official or important. That's all what your own perceptions are telling you ;)You're right I'm not meeting anyone, but I did talk with Taylor on the phone for a great length today. :)Delusional... I only see one person in this thread in which that would describe...No, evidently your innate ideas are lacking common sense. Explain in what way any of what I've said is wrong. Go on. If you're going to tell me to stop, at least tell me why. Construct a convincing argument. And you act like being critical is a bad thing. It isn't. It's far, far better than blind support of unrealistic delusions. And the fact remains that this topic is pointless. I swear that people are only reading half my posts, or just reading a select few words and thinking OH BOY HE'S BEING NEGATIVE HE MUST BE WRONG when, as usual, I'm the one person who's right. It gets tiring being right so often. Especially when I have to keep reiterating it and spelling it out as precisely as possible because people don't seem to get it. Just employ a bit of critical thought, that's all you have to do.So, please do explain how I'm wrong, and how this could ever actually realistically happen. Start to throw a bit of actual thought into the mix. I know, probably a big ask.- TiliusOne person who's right... everyone thinks that they are the protagonist, that's what makes storytelling so great. And you portray that so well because you make it so clear to everyone that you are indeed the one who is in the wrong here yet you say you are correct which makes it even more comical. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck... It seems like you've earned a reputation on here for a reason; however don't try and attack everyone else in here because you were the one who forgot to throw a bit of actual thought into the mix. Explain in what way any of what I've said is wrong. Go on. If you're going to tell me to stop, at least tell me why. Construct a convincing argument. And you act like being critical is a bad thing. But I am sure you that you need to quit and find somewhere else to start a debate, Tilius. Whether or not you're joking about "always being right", this isn't adding to the discussion and it sure isn't helping anyone. If you don't think it's a valid topic, report it (which you did, thank you), and move on (which you didn't.) If it's not allowed, it'll be taken care of. Your input is not needed.Thank you! Some people obviously have nothing better to do in life than sit on a computer and play the troll.
  18. We had a good group meeting last night. Got quite a bit accomplished for our comics. Had a lot of constructive feedback on how to start and the series off and a few different plot-holes that I need to think about. Will be trying to contact Taylor at LEGO today to see if she's available, I'm starting to think she's on vacation or something...
  19. Oh Yes, there will def be some overlap and explanation for things in the 'official' story line that aren't answered as of right now. Who knows if they ever will be...But, yes I do plan on taking it in a new direction, like a spin-off you could say; however I don't want to leave everything else behind at the same time and say forget about it. Ya know? So to answer both questions Yes and Yes! lol
  20. Stuff has to get to Alaska somehow... Where there's a will there's a way
  21. Yeah I imagine it might be. Took me a while just to figure whom I should be asking the permissions of. Was supposed to talk to her today, but she didn't call back. So hopefully tomorrow. If there isn't an approval from Lego on certain things then there are always other ways in which to incorporate and change things.
  22. It's been some time since I've been active on here... And my Bionicle sets have been collecting dust for quite some time now...Recently though I was given a very unique opportunity. A few friends of mine are opening their own comic book store and have a comic shop (where they actually produce their own comics). I was approached about a month ago from one of my friends (President of the shop) and was asked if I would want to be involved in creating my own comic that is Bionicle related. I've been stewing on it for quite some time, but I said yes about a week ago. It's amazing how fast things are moving. There are still some things in which we have to get some rights for yet, but I'm very excited for the future of this production! My friend approached me because I already have so much written about my characters and so many stories that I've shared with him. He read the first 15 pages of the Epic I created and said he was very impressed and said it would be quite easy to put into a comic book format. It's all I've been able to think about for the past week. I'm very happy to be a part of this all again. I will keep you all updated as to how the process is going and when we can expect a first comic to come out of all of this. Realistically speaking our time schedule is about 2 years out right now... a lot of work and effort is going into this though and we want it to turn out perfect! Yes, there still needs to be some negotiation with Lego on this subject, but I know one way or another we will get the stories out there. Also, these comics will not be solely about any of the main characters already in the Bionicle universe; they will focus mainly on characters in which I myself have created. This was approved by bonesiii
