In less than a month, I'll have been registered for 18 years. There are kids who just graduated high school that weren't even born when I discovered BZP. Ack.

Hard to believe BZP is now old enough to drive. Happy Birthday!

It's 11:00 PM on a Sunday, and I just watched "Mask of Light" for the first time, just for the heck of it. I am super bored and have consumed many adult beverages. Bizarre, huh?

Just popping in to say happy anniversary BZP. Still can't believe it's been 11 years since I joined...

Heh, my post wasn't directed at you. Sorry for any confusion. I just felt frustrated at the guys like Tanu who are trying to cling to some magical nostalgic version of BIONICLE gen 1 that never existed.

. Seriously, guys. Bionicle 2001 wan't "deep" or "mature". You just thought it was because you were ten years old at the time. Get a grip.

Really liking the protectors. I almost like them more than the Toa, especially with those sweet multi-coloured masks...

Really digging the colour schemes they're going for. Purple/Black? Green/Gold? Brown/Trans neon green? Awesome! With respect to the bios: It's a toy for 8 year olds. Chill out. Srsly

Glad the story is a reboot. At this point, continuing the old story would just feel pointless. Lovin' the animations too. I like that Lego is trying to give this new series a distinct style.

Looking good so far. BZP has had the same front page since before I joined, so I can't wait to see the final product.

I really like the aesthetic they seem to be going for. Similar to the old Kanohi, but different enough to feel new.

All these people with 10+ year spinnies showing up again...so many memories.

So everyone's like "Omg Mask of Creation. i hope we finally get to see Artakha!!" And I'm like "Ummm . . Who's Artakha??" And then I look it up on BS01 and finally remember. Still excited for 2015 though.

Oh wow, I just noticed the Nuva symbols engraved in the mask. That is a really cool touch.

I think it's encouraging to see that the story is seemingly going back to masks and mask collecting. That was definitely the selling point back in 2001, so hopefully it might help draw in new fans now. Also, mask of creation - very cool.

I doubt Lego will do BIONICLE graphic novels, but I would definitely support them if they did.

Dang, I'd forgotten about that. Shame.

I'm more interested in finding out what prompted Lego to revive BIONICLE. Was Hero Factory not selling? Did they think there was sufficient fan interest? I'd love to see an interview with an exec in the near future.

While we were all caught up in the hype about BIONICLE returning, it occurred to me that Lego still hasn't brought back monorails. *Shakes fist angrily*

Started building a space base. LDD Rocks, by the way.

Dang, that would be cool to see built. Doesn't look like it will reach it's goal, though. Best of luck to the guy anyways.

It just occured to me that 2009, the last year in which I was really active on BZPower, was over five years ago now. It seems like yesteday, but when I think about how much has happened in my personal life since then, it seems so surreal. But anyways, I'm happy that BIONICLE is coming back. I doubt I'll buy any of the sets or follow the story very closely, but I'll definitely be keeping tabs on it for sure. And I'm happy to think what this means for BZPower too. BZP was really the first real "forum" that I joined way back when I was 13, and I have a lot of nostalgia invested in this place. It's been kind of sad to see it limping along without BIONICLE. I really hope this new revival will make it a fun place to hang out again. EDIT: I just realized that I basically just said the exact same thing as my previous entry. This is what I get for blogging while running on 4 hours of sleep.

Good news all around. Here's hoping they finally get around to making a purple set.

Dat spinny. Wow. It’s interesting to come back to BZP and find that there are members who weren’t even born when it started out. Heck, there are probably a few members who weren’t even born by August 1, 2004, when I joined. I feel like I should come back here more, what with the (likely) return of BIONICLE. I doubt many of you remember me though. Those that do probably remember me as “The guy who made the morphing smiley emoticons” and “The guy who sucked up to Ninjo for 7,000 post count boosts”. But I have a lot of nostalgia for BZP. I've lurked here on and off since BIONICLE ended four years ago and would welcome an opportunity to get back into the swing of things.
