    This is the story of a trainer named Pahrak and his trusty Chandelure.
     
    Pahrak and Chandelure arrived in the Ferrum Region, having heard tales of the Pokken Tournament and deciding they wanted to compete. A girl named Nia was kind enough to teach them the basics of how Ferrum Battles worked, and after getting down the basics, Pahrak and Chandelure decided to get started.
     
    It was immediately apparent that Pahrak really had no idea what he was doing, but his sheer dumb luck seemed to work for a time. He and Chandelure made it into the Green League’s top 8 after only two sets of trainers, won the tournament, and earned their rank promotion!
     
    But then, a mysterious Shadow Mewtwo appeared. Chandelure was defeated in mere seconds.
     
    Though shaken, Pahrak and Chandelure moved on to the Blue League. Though still a relatively low league, it seemed Pahrak’s luck had run out, and his lack of skill finally caught up with him. The team has managed to start their climb up the rankings and have yet to suffer a loss, but nearly every victory is won by an incredibly slim margin. Pahrak is unsure if he can guide Chandelure even through the rest of this league, let alone the Red and Chroma Leagues beyond. It remains to be seen if he can ever master the techniques of “Blocking” and “Dodging”…
     
    (Pokken’s definitely fun, I just wish I was better at it. *sigh*)

    Not a Bionicle story, though it does involve Elemental powers/regions I guess huh it may have influenced me more than I realized I should be careful about that
     
    It's a fantasy story in a medieval setting where the major countries are ruled by Queens with magic crowns. They're the characters the story will focus on. Right now I have 12 Queens, each attuned to a specific fighting style/school of magic. That’s kind of a lot of characters, so I wonder if I should take some out. Just going with the characters I have plans for right now, I could easily cut that number in half.
     
    But…since these Queens are also goddesses, I kind of want a larger group to build the mythology. Plus, I don’t want to cut any of these schools of magic, and if a school of magic exists, I want there to be a Queen for it. Even with a smaller cast, there would still be some Queens who get more attention than others. Also, I'm not entirely sure how I would want to reorganize my schools of magic to accommodate for this smaller cast of goddesses.
     
    Just going by this vague information, does anyone have any suggestions?

    I’ve been thinking on and off about a new concept for a game inspired by Steins;Gate. The idea was that the Great Beings have discovered a pocket dimension that is virtually identical to the main universe but is just starting out, and as time moves there they will send visions to certain individuals in an attempt to alter the sequence of events to see if they can accomplish a smoother reformation of Spherus Magna. My only idea for a title was “Crosswired;Gate”, but anyway.
     
    Figuring out how to set this up was difficult. What I’m thinking right now is that it’ll be a collaborative effort between players. There’ll be a “signup period” (48 hours?), but players will be able to join later if they want to. The player list will be necessary though—each round, a timeframe will be presented, and two players who are on the list will be randomly selected and asked to come up with a plan for what vision to send to whom in an attempt to alter how events proceed. The remaining players (including newcomers) will then vote on which plan they prefer, and these planners will be able to edit their plans using feedback from the other players, and when a certain amount of time has expired the voting will end and the winning plan will be implemented. I will then determine how the vision is received and how events proceed. Then we move on to the next round.
     
    At least a few fixed points will probably be necessary. The Great Spirit Robot will crash into Aqua Magna, the Kanohi Vahi will be forged, and Matoro will die—but the circumstances of these events could certainly be altered. Maybe more events should be fixed? I’m not sure.
     
    Well, really, I’m very unsure in general. The setup is still shaky, and this would be a tremendous workload. I’m also hesitant about a game which depends on my judgment to determine how it progresses. If someone disagrees with what consequences I think a vision will have, there won’t be much I can say in response, and I worry it could start to feel unfair to players. Maybe I could recruit a panel of judges? It would take longer to change rounds, though, since we’d all need to deliberate and then still write up the scene, plus I’m not sure it would be fair for the judges to actually participate in the game…
     
    I like the general idea enough to not just dismiss it, but I think it needs a lot of work before I consider building up the motivation to attempt it. So, if anyone has any thoughts, I would love to hear them!

    Ideal Worlds

    We already have confirmation of Hercules, Big Hero 6, and Tangled worlds for Kingdom Hearts III, hopefully they’re going to reveal more soon, here are some I want.
     
    -Atlantis was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Rewatching it recently I wasn’t as impressed, but still, it’d be nice to see, and it even has the Heart of Atlantis as a thing so it would work almost too well.
    -Everybody complains about Agrabah but I want it back. Ideally with a good adaptation of King of Thieves, which I need to rewatch.
    -Honestly I want Space Paranoids back. They went through all the trouble of integrating it into the plot, and Radiant Garden is probably going to be back, so I hope they go pay Tron another visit, it’s only fair.
    -It’s been forever since I’ve seen the Jungle Book, but since they’ve been trying and failing again and again to put it in I hope they finally get it onboard. End the struggle.
    -Something Pixar. Or everything Pixar. Pixar.
    -A new Lilo and Stitch world that covers more than just the opening of the movie.
    -I’d like the 100 Acre Woods back too actually, it’s a charming little diversion world that brings a lot of positivity with it.
    -I’d like Destiny Islands back as a playable world, which it hasn’t been outside of KH1 and rehashes of it.
    -A Muppets world, with a line similar to “This boss fight is brought to you by the letter X and the number 13!”
    -It’s be cool to see the Pride Lands come back.
    -Not exactly a world, but I’d like a post-game area like the Cavern of Remembrance in KHIIFM. It’s always fascinated me and we haven’t had anything like it since. Or bring back the CoR itself, with story relevance, that’d be super rad!
     
    …Wait, this trend is talking about Kingdom Hearts worlds, right?

    I decided to start on a new story, and now that I've finished a draft of the first chapter I was wondering if anyone might be willing to look it over and give me some feedback?
     
    As some general information: this takes place on Spherus Magna after the Reformation, and mainly focuses on Vhisola. It's technically a follow-up to my previous story A Mind in Darkness, but you wouldn't need to read that in order to jump into this one--I don't really plan on any direct references to it, so really the only thing you might feel needs clarifying is why Vhisola and Macku get along. This chapter is just setting up the plot and Vhisola's reason for being a part of it.
     
    If anyone wants to help me out, leave a comment and I'll start up a PM for everyone who wants to give it a read.

    Do you ever wonder what it would be like to experience so-called “late arrival spoilers” for the first time?
     
    Like, how you might have felt if you had seen the Doctor’s first regeneration? Or the first time Goku went Super Saiyan, and when all the higher levels were discovered? Or how about finding out that Darth Vader was Luke’s father?
     
    They’re all presented with such shock and drama, but I know there’s no point in putting them in spoiler tags now because people know these things even if they don’t follow Doctor Who or DBZ or Star Wars. I mean, they’re still great and we can still enjoy them, but sometimes I feel like I’m missing out on a part of the experience.
     
    I can remember being surprised and excited pretty much whenever Bionicle made a new reveal, so I guess I want to recapture those feelings if I can. Unfortunately, I’ve become quite bad about getting spoilers for things beforehand, even aside from the ones that have filtered into pop culture. Still, when I am able to exert a little self-control, I do feel like I’m enjoying things more—I think that’s why I got so much enjoyment out of Kingdom Hearts 3D and Steins;Gate, since I only knew a few spoilers heading in and was surprised by a lot of what they did. Since those three series I mentioned at the start are still going on, I guess I have the potential to be surprised by new things they do, though there’s still that sense that I missed out. (Plus if how the forms revealed in the latest movies are anything to go by, Dragon Ball Super is going to spoil itself in magazines before getting to actually show its new stuff.)
     
    Oh well, I guess it’s sort of inevitable. Not to mention a lot of the things I follow come out in Japan first and I have to battle the urge to find out what happened for a few months if I want to get the full experience (barring quick subs). This is just a lingering thought I felt like typing up while watching DBZ Kai.

    If you live in America, try to avoid going out if possible, since I hear Black Friday gets really, really intense.
     
    But if you do go out, and if you play Pokemon, try stopping by a McDonalds with free Wi-Fi to get Hoopa via Nintendo Zone.
     
    Or, maybe put that one off, since it's available until December 23rd.

    All the spells in Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Bravely Default follow the same pattern: the first tier has a normal name, the second tier ends in -ra, and the third ends in -ga. Except for Bravely Default's Cure spells. Those go Cure, Cura, Curada, Curaga.
     
    ...What?
     
    I certainly have nothing against a fourth tier Cure spell--I'm sure it'll be very helpful, and a precedent for that was set way back in the original Final Fantasy. Of course, the spells in that game went Cure, Cura, Curaga, Curaja. You know, consistent with the third tier spell ending in -ga.
     
    But...literally every other spell family in Bravely Default uses -ga for the third tier. This one stands out, and it's weird, because the first two follow the pattern, then they change, then they use the name that should be third tier for the fourth tier, and...
     
    It bugs me. Like, is Curada supposed to be a "second and a half tier" or something? What even is that?
     
    Also I think this game's equivalent of Blue Magic does involve some fourth tier spells ending in -ja, so it's even more inconsistent and arrrrrgh

    The NA version of Unchained just got to the point where the story really gets started!
     
    …And most people are upset that the new character, known in Japan as Ephemera, is now being called Ephemer in the translation.
     
    PRIORITIES!
     
    What baffles me more is that a few missions before that they show your character sleeping and don’t bother changing their outfit at all. I wear a jetpack. I was lying in my bed wearing a jetpack that flared to life every few seconds. How did my bed not catch on fire? I am appalled that they would portray me as so irresponsible, everyone knows to take their jetpack off before they go to bed!
     
    Also the player character actually speaks briefly, which is almost as rare as Link or any Pokemon protagonist speaking. This is also far more interesting than the letter A.
     
    And it looks like I should actually be able to afford this week’s special 10 Medal deal, which guarantees several high-tier Medals and gets you 3 free Cid Medals! Combined with the reset Coliseum, I should be able to reduce cost on Three Wishes just enough to evolve HD Aqua! Hopefully I’ll get some good Reversed and Speed Medals. Or a good Reversed Speed Medal.

    For a while now I’ve had an urge to try developing my comedy-writing skills, and after starting and stopping a few things, I finally decided to just roll with a short idea, put it out there, and see how it goes.
     
    So I wrote The Yesterday Jest to poke some fun at some of that serial’s key things. Well, the Toa, mainly. Honestly the main driving force was my disdain for Orde, but I tried to balance things at least a little more fairly. It’s under 1000 words so it’s a quick read, hopefully good for one or two laughs.
     
    Maybe I’ll use this as a starting point to work on some more comedies, I dunno, we’ll see if I can get any ideas/decent jokes.

    So, I mentioned a long while back that a virus attacked my computer and erased all my documents. In the process I lost the first two Books of that Bioni-Lords series I brought up not too long ago, which was sort of disheartening since they had been published before the Forums crashed and thus I couldn’t access the topics. I mean, back then I was still writing the stories in notebooks and then typing them later, so I still have the notebooks, but any typed version of the story was gone.
     
    Well, I booted up an old computer the other day. I found the complete documents for both Books.
     
    My gosh, they are awful.
     
    I’m so happy about this, thank you God for letting me keep this nostalgic mess.

    He was delayed a bit, but I wasn't expecting the next attempt until tomorrow. I was at GameStop picking up something else and the guy checked their shipment and discovered the Blue Bomber had indeed arrived!
     

     
    I was hoping to take a picture with Megamiibo, Megaman.EXE, and Geo, but after ordering the Geo figure Amazon suddenly decided that all the vendors selling him didn't have him in stock. I'm not bitter at all.
     
    Coincidentally this amiibo is named Geo Stelar.
     
    I haven't gotten much (good) equipment on the Wii U yet, so I'm having trouble managing the ups and downs to get him some good stats. But he's been training with Greninja and Mii Brawler Kairi, and he's now Level 18! I shall continue to raise him into an expert fighter!

    But this is important
     
    For starters, it looks like Bleach might actually be getting somewhere, so that’s nice. Also glad to see confirmation of that character’s status, and unlike a lot of “character avoided death!” reveals, this one could actually be interesting. A small amount of hope for Bleach has been restored.
     
    The bigger news is that the Naruto spin-off featuring the next generation has started. Looks like it’ll run for three parts (not sure if that means three weeks in a row or not?), and Kishimoto did a thing that I have opinions about.
     
     
     
     
    Also there’s a random kid with blue hair sitting next to Naruto’s son, so he might be important. Some people have compared him to the villain from The Last, which is…curious. Looking forward to see how that plays out I guess?

    Yo, long time no see, BZP! I was so lonely all summer!
    ...Yes, my life is that empty...
    But anyway, let's get down to business!
     
    I am ready to finish Sekai! But, since the old topic has 130 chapters, I'm just going to keep Sekai in two parts. The first 130 chapters will remain in the archive, but the rest will be posted here. My intention is to post at least one chapter a day, everyday except Sundays, until the story is complete.
    Also, I'm working on a new Spirit Index! The hosting service for the current Spirit Index apparently has a page limit, but the hosting service I use for Exo's Desk does not have a page limit, and allows you to have two websites...expect it soon. Ish. I don't know, actually...
     
    I suppose Sekai leads us right into discussing Bioni-Lords Book 3: Kako! I'm almost prepared--I want to wait until Book 2 is completely posted before I start writing Kako, plus I just have a few more things I need to gather together first. Four previews have been prepared, along with a teaser that will be put in this blog soon after Sekai ends. Stay tuned...
     
    Also, I have a new Bioni-Lords related thing I might post soon...
     
    Anyone curious about BIONICLE: The Forgotten Bond?

    ...Right. Well, it's completely written, and I have about a third of it typed. Once I finish typing it, I'll post chapters every Tuesday and Thursday.
     
    As for Technic Coliseum...to be honest, I'm not sure if I'm going to bring it back. Not sure if there's as much demand anymore.
