RPG Contest 21 has opened up...and I have entered.
Project Kaizen Mk. III: Ihu's Blessing
It's based on Greek mythology, with the Toa functioning as gods and goddesses. Onua, Toa of the Earth, wishes Bionicles and humans to form stronger bonds, so he discovered a way to create humans with Bionicle-like powers: demi-Toa. Players will create a demi-Toa and engage humans, Rahkshi, and other demi-Toa in battle, shooting for whatever goal they want. Just be prepared, in case a powerful enemy shows up...
Of course, this is only an entry. It needs to be one of the winners before people can actually play it.

I have been working on Sekai. I want to finish the chapter I'm on and then write two more before getting back to typing. (This will put me through most of the Medallion Battles and another important battle.) Draco-Isle looks like it's going to end in the early 130s, and Lost Continent 12 will only be two chapters, so the Ending arc will likely begin in the mid-130s. No clue where it'll end.

Forgotten Bond is at Chapter 21. This is a 'down-time' chapter, not very exciting; haven't gotten very far in it, but once I do I can go right into the next scenario, which will slide seamlessly into the final battle scenario. After that, a chapter or two of wrap-up, and after that, I begin typing.

Also, the Technic Coliseum tournament finally ended, so Hero Factory 2.0 characters are now available, along with Vahki.

By the way, I might not be on all that much over the next month or two. Pokemon White Version has most of my attention right now, and later in the month I'll be obsessing over Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, plus after that is the Nintendo 3DS...but I will get on the computer at least once a day, and I'll try to set some time aside to type some Sekai. You know, once I get a few more chapters written.

So Rahkshi are super destructive and feral and everything, which makes sense with the Makuta being beings of shadow and all. But in the Melding Universe, the Makuta are beings of light, but still have kraata powers (different ones, but still). It wouldn’t make sense if Melding Rahkshi were still like that, so…

Maybe Melding Rahkshi are, like…super polite?

    They rescue Mahi from quicksand

They help little old Matoran cross the street

They stop along the street to help Matoran building things and then purchase their merchandise to stimulate the economy

...I like Super Polite Melding Rahkshi

Oh, I almost forgot it was Saturday! I'm all out of whack now that there's no Korra... D:

I updated Exo's Desk with a few profiles, and I added some new Spirits to the Spirit Index. Hoping to get a few more Spirits up soon.

Still writing Kako--almost done with Onu-Isle, so I've started giving some thought to Ko-Isle. We won't be seeing much of the Shadow Consortium during this arc, but there will still be a threat to deal with...

And, uh...I don't really have anything else prepared. Oh, they revealed the American release date of Pokemon Black and White 2: October 7th! But, that's all I got...soooo...
    Bye.

Avak ended up winning Technic Tournament 4 in 3D, and even wrested the Title away from that wretched sharkface Barraki! At least one thing had a satisfying ending today!

Since there was even less demand than usual this time, it’ll probably be a little while before I run Technic Tournament 5 Ocarina of Majora’s Twilight. However, while this game is fresh in your minds, I want to get an idea of what can be improved on, since I’d like more than just a new roster to justify another game.

Tournament 4 introduced a second roll determining how the money brought in by promotion gets split between the fighter a player wants to sponsor and their opponent. While I wanted a random element, I feel like this might have gone a bit overboard, so I’m thinking of a few possibilities for changing it:
-Providing a reroll on the split. This would be separate from the reroll offered in the case of failure, so each round you’d have 1 Reroll A and 1 Reroll B. In the event your reroll ends up giving even fewer Widgets to your preferred fighter, it will be disregarded and the original split will be finalized.
-Altering how the split is determined. Right now the system is: 1 gives 1/6 to your fighter, 2 gives 1/3 to your fighter, 3 is an even split, 4 gives 2/3 to your fighter, 5 gives 5/6 to your fighter, and 6 gives all to your fighter. I thought a better way might be that rolling a 1, 2, or 3 gives all the Widgets to your fighter, while rolling a 4, 5, or 6 splits it evenly. (Or maybe 6 will give only 25% to your fighter, so there’s still one chance of critical failure?) This is the option I’m favoring at the moment.
-The ability to purchase an “upgrade” that affects split rolls. The split roll would remain the same as in Tournament 4, but you will also have the option of spending some Widgets to buy this upgrade, and then your next promotion (or all promotions that round?) either uses the method listed above, or we skip the split roll altogether and give all the profits to your fighter.
-Or, if players feel the system is alright as is, then there’d be no need to change it I guess. I haven’t actually been told anything specific about it.

Something else I considered adding is a Bribe system. What I’m thinking is that, when a player signs up, I’ll do a roll and determine a secret Charisma stat for them, but not tell them what it is. Then, each round, they can attempt to Bribe the management to add money directly to a specific fighter’s pool. If successful, a portion of the amount offered (25%?) would simply vanish as a small ”fee”, while the rest is given to the fighter in question. If unsuccessful, the management issues a reprimand and all the money offered just vanishes. It’d be a more controlled way of adding money to a fighter, but you wouldn’t be able to multiply it like with promotion, plus you have no idea what your chances actually are. Not entirely sure about this, but hey, it can’t hurt to give it a try, right?

Any suggestions you have on anything are welcome!

    -Lapras ("Lap")
    -Kyurem (White)
    -Aurorus ("Celsius")

My relationship with Ice is weird. I like the Ice type, but I don't really like a whole lot of Ice Pokemon enough to try them out. You may notice that of the three Pokemon listed above, two of them are given to you for free and the other is a mascot. That's how little I feel like going out of my way for Ice types. Still, I want to change that and train more Ice types. Avalugg looks pretty cool, and I want to give a chance to Abomasnow and even Vanilluxe. Maybe Cryogonal? I've also kind of wanted to train a Cloyster for a while. But that's something to be decided later. As for my current favorite...well, I think I would have to go with Aurorus. Refrigerate combined with Hyper Beam makes for one heck of a Pokemon.

Ghost and Fairy are tied for rarest type, so I'll do Ghost next and save Fairy for last.

Apparently volume 73 of Bleach just came out in Japan, and it states that volume 74 will be the last. With how many chapters are usually put into volumes and how many have already been serialized in Jump, estimates are saying that there are five chapters left in the series.

    Haaaaaaaaaaaaaang on

Now I know I’m on record as frequently saying I want Bleach to end, and I do, but with the point the series is currently at as of last week? If we only have five more chapters to go then I only see two outcomes:

    1. The ending is super-rushed, which is just going to be a huge letdown, despite all the disappointment I’m still fairly invested and was holding a tiny tiny sliver of hope that there could be a decent ending.

    2. Nothing will be resolved and a dang spin-off is gonna start up and I’ll be stuck with this series for another fifteen years.

I don’t know which is worse so I’m really hoping that this is all a huge misunderstanding/marketing ploy. First Bionicle, now Bleach! Why must the things Child Me liked that start with the letter B get treated this way? D:

Hey, guess what? The Platinum Avohkii is on sale again! It's cheaper this time, but I still can't afford it...

In other news, I managed to get two chapters of Kako up in the past week. Hoping to get the next one done soon.

Aside from that...well, the Technic Coliseum tournament starts on Monday. That's pretty much it. It's been an uneventful week, not that I'm complaining.

I’ve been replaying Pokémon X on and off, but I kept forgetting to post my team up here. It’s important to me that I continue my PokéRecords! Anyway, I’ve beaten Diantha, haven’t decided if I’m going to do the Looker quest or not, here’s the team and their current levels:

    -Gawain the Chesnaught, Lv 70
-Adell the Mega Charizard X, Lv 70
    -Rose the Florges, Lv 71
    -Nocturn the Barbaracle, Lv 69
    -Reidak the Krookodile, Lv 70
-Pewku the Mega Scizor, Lv 71

I was unsure about trying out Florges, but Rose is an awesome part of my team. I’m also glad I got to try out all three starters, though since Greninja was first it still holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve also tried out the Mega Evolutions of all Kanto starters, so that’s cool. (I mean, I didn’t have a Mega Charizard Y on any of my main teams, but I tested one out. I like X better anyway.) The other three are just Pokémon I’ve been wanting to try out for a while. It was pretty fun!

There are still so many Pokémon I want to try out, though…I already have tentative teams for Omega Ruby and Z (or whatever), but I need to fight off the urge to restart X again…

Sorry I didn’t get the chance to do this last time. Anyway, here are the new items you can look forward to once the tournament ends:

-New for Toa: Mask of Emulation! For 8,000 W, you can copy your opponent’s Elemental powers! Disclaimer: a fighter is more vulnerable while copying, and copied powers are not as strong as regular powers. Also, since we have a few Nuva fighters now, I figured I’d make some more Kanohi available in Nuva—specifically, the Huna, Komau, Ruru, Matatu, and Mahiki. More masks will be made available in Nuva if we get more Toa Nuva.

-New for Heroes: Brain Attack Weapon! Self-explanatory, but the special kick is that if your hero has a weapon and a shield in Brain Attack, you can use them both while only taking up one item slot! Costs 5,000 W for a character without a shield, 7,000 W for a character with a shield.

-Nobody’s been using the Bohrok Shields, but maybe that’ll change if they become available in Kal powers? The Lightning Shield, Plasma Shield, Gravity Shield, Sonic Shield, Vacuum Shield, and Magnetism Shield models will be added to the shop!

-At Keizah’s suggestion, we’re adding a Rhotuka Launcher that can be yours for just 8,000 W! Spinners will be sold separately in packs of 5, ranging from 2,000-5,000 W depending on effect.

-Time for some 2006 weapons! Axonn’s Axe and Brutaka’s Sword can each be purchased for 9,000 W, and you can also pick up Repellers (with one use per battle) for 15,000 W! Not to mention the Spear of Fusion, which, for 30,000 W, will let you cut one of the opponent’s stats in half! (This will be subject to regulations similar to the Staff of Silence.) Thanks to Canis, we’re also adding a Zamor Sphere weapon—it’ll fuse the target to the ground and render them unable to move! Costs 15,000 W, subject to restrictions.

-Our last batch of Rahkshi Staffs, and boy are they nice! Six of the new models will be available for 40,000 W each, and will grant your fighter additional Elemental Powers when brought into combat! These Staffs come in Gravity, Electricity, Sonics, Plasma, Magnetism, and Plant Control, but you will only be allowed to bring one into battle (two if your fighter does not have his/her own Elemental Powers). The seventh, coming in at a whopping 80,000 W, is the Staff of Mind Reading, which will allow you to read your opponent’s strategy. (Naturally, there are some really heavy restrictions on this one even aside from the cost. Also note that these staffs cannot be obtained for free by a Champion.)

And if that isn’t enough to look forward to, here’s an extra hint: after the June tournament, we’ll begin seeing very special items and upgrades from 2007 and 2008, so keep an eye on those Widgets!

    1. There are now subs of the Steins;Gate movie. I can't link it on BZP because of reasons, and you may be better off waiting until there are higher-quality subs, but just so you know, they exist. I cried a little.

    2. I put up a new short story: Opportunity for Ambition. It's a part of my "Heretic Stories" project and focuses on Tehutti's character, and how I want to represent him. I was originally prompted to do this by the FFFC a while back (the same one I used to enter stories focused on Ehrye and Nuhrii), but I didn't get it done in time, and now that it's actually finished it's too long anyway. Mavrah's also very important--he just kinda showed up and ended up taking the job...

    3. While I don't have an intended limit on the number of Heretic Stories I'll produce, I want to have at least one for each Matoran. They're not perfect, but I have something for Ahkmou, Vhisola, Ehrye, Nuhrii, and now Tehutti...but I can't think of anything for Orkahm. All I'm getting is that he's a real boring guy, and I don't know how to write a story about that. I'll keep thinking, but if anyone has any ideas/suggestions, they'd be much appreciated.

I decided to watch Madoka this week. I'm still in pain.

But Pokemon news helps me forget the pain! Game Freak is holding a Pokemon Game Show over in Japan right now, featuring a demo of X and Y focusing on Mega Evolutions! Apparently you activate it using a special button on the move screen, and you can use a move the same turn that you activate it. The demo lets you use Mega Mewtwo. Impatience rising. In addition, it confirms that you now run by default, and holding the B button slows you down to a walk. Very good. I believe there was also a report saying there would be just under 50 Mega Evolutions in the game? (Not 100% sure on this one.)

There's also some news about the Fairy type being introduced into the TCG, and a new anime called Pokemon The Origin. It's not clear if it's a special or a mini-series or what, but it takes us back to Kanto to follow the story of Pokemon Trainer Red, so it sounds pretty flipping awesome. I'm too lazy to link the trailer, but you should go watch it.

On April 23rd, an elite group of members will be executing a simultaneous name change to celebrate the release of the game Bravely Second.

However! Our alliance remains incomplete! I present to you, our current roster!

Former Vestal of Wind and now Pope of the Crystal Orthodoxy, Agnes Oblige, portrayed by Voltex!

The ordinary farmer who was touched by the Celestials, Tiz Arrior, portrayed by Blade!

An amnesiac who has already garnered a new reputation, Ringabel, portrayed by Ehks!

Elite Eternian soldier who has gone on to reform her country, Edea Lee, portrayed by JiMing!

Warrior from the moon determined to slay the encroaching demons, Magnolia Arch, portrayed by yours truly!

If you wish to take Nikolai’s position, please say so in the comments, for we would be very grateful to have you!

    Fight bravely, my friends!

It was just announced that Akira Toriyama will be working on a new anime sequel to Dragon Ball, entitled "Dragon Ball Super", starting this July, confirming previous rumors that a new series was being worked on. Details are currently very scarce, but we have been told that the plot will be a short time after the defeat of Kid Buu; presumably it will follow the recent movies "Battle of Gods" and "Revival of F", both of which are set in that general timeframe and heavily involved Toriyama.

On one hand, this is huge news! Dragon Ball is one of the single most recognizable anime in history, and while the franchise was certainly never at a standstill, seeing it return to television is an unforeseen development that can help get a new generation hooked on it.

Honestly though there's a part of me that feels bad for Toriyama, who apparently thought this series was going to end long ago and seems to have accepted its fate as the eternal cash cow.

I really am excited, though. There was a plot point teased at the end of Battle of Gods that doesn't seem to be addressed in the new movie, so I'm hoping that Super will follow up on that. I can accept that there will definitely be new transformations--I will relish in them no matter how redundant they get, most likely--but I really hope the new movie's plot of bringing back Frieza isn't indicative of the arcs we'll be seeing. Bringing back old enemies for fights incredibly similar to their original arc is something that I'm just not really on-board with.

And of course, the last time we got a new Dragon Ball anime, people didn't take so well to it!

(I mean GT wasn't all bad, but I'm definitely not broken up that it's looking less and less canon with each passing year.)

Ladies (wait, women don't read my stories...) and gentlemen, I present to you...Bioni-Lords Book 3: Kako Preview 1! This gives us a glimpse at a handful of the main characters--the ones you expect (Genakex, Xyla, and Kytan), along with a new face: Tahra Vakar! Tahra is the daughter of a retired Fire-Lord, and will join the group when they're about to leave Ta-Isle. As you'd expect, she's a Fire specialist, and yes, she does have a bit of a temper. I thought Tahra might give us a new perspective on sexism in the Bioni-Lords world: a female heir to a male Element. We've mentioned Rikka trying to become Ice-Lord and the possibility of Twani being Earth-Lord, but we never looked at how anyone might react to that. So the question will be, even though she's the daughter of a Fire-Lord, is Tahra's claim to the title of Fire-Lord illigitimate because Fire is a male Element?

Also, I've posted a new MoC: Vapor 2.0! In case you're wondering why he's labeled "ZMoC-12," it's because I recently decided to start giving numbers to my new MoCs as a way of keeping them organized, and Vapor 2.0 is the thirteenth MoC made since I started this system. (There's a ZMoC-00.) I'm hoping to post the rest of the ZMoCs soon, and I'll put the links right here! (Well, actually, the BionicleKeyblade MoC in the Sekai Review Topic is ZMoC-03, so I won't be reposting that.)

No new progress on Forgotten Bond, but there is news on the new Spirit Index! The new Index has been entirely re-color-coded, and I've also extended the list to 1331! However...I have just under 40 Spirits that others have submitted to me, and I want to get them online before I provide the link to the new Index. I'll be as quick as I can, but I have some school projects I need to work on right now. The semester's just about over, so I should be able to get back to work about mid next week.

On the topic of websites, Exo's Desk V2 has been updated! On the front page, along with a list of updates, is a list of updates I hope to make in the future--probably before Book 3 starts, but I want to finish Forgotten Bond and the new Index before I get to these.

Also, I'm working on a Christmas Special! No, this won't be a Bioni-Lords story, although Stained Glass Inmacula makes an appearance and Khadaz is mentioned. The main characters will be Exo-Zadakh (in the style of his ZMoC-00 version, which will be up soon), Guts Style Pahrak, and Exo-Panrahk, and they will be doing their best to remind people what Christmas is actually about...but as you can imagine, that's not likely.

Once I get done with these projects, I should be able to get a load of content up during December! Kako Previews, ZMoCs, website updates, a Christmas Special, and Forgotten Bond typing (although it probably won't be posted until January)! I'm looking forward to it, and I hope you are too!

    Merry Christmas!
Yes, Merry Christmas. NOT "Happy Holidays", unless it means "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year." If you celebrate something else, then I hope you enjoy that and I'm not trying to offend you. Apparently, I need to make that distinction. *Glares at Political Correctness*

EDIT: OH, I almost forgot! We still have one guest star slot available for Kako, but it does have some restrictions. If you're interested, please contact me for more information!
EDIT AGAIN: Wait, I've just been contacted, so it looks like that slot might get filled!
EDIT YET AGAIN: Yes, that slot has been filled! That's all the guest stars!

Sun and Moon are legit, and on 3DS (thank God!)! And judging by how the video was only citing games which began a new Generation when it was leading up to the announcement, it sounds like it really is Gen VII! This adds new questions, but hey, new Pokemon! This year! On a system I have!!

Not only that, but the Virtual Console games will be compatible with Pokemon Bank! It only mentioned moving the Pokemon from the VC games into Sun and Moon, so I don't think they'll be able to get to your Gen VI games, but that's still really good news! I think I'm actually going to play one now!

Some of you may be aware of the announcement of Pokemon Black and White, the Generation V games set to be released in Japan sometime 2010. While examining the pictures and hoping this wouldn't be another Generation III situation, I made a shocking discovery...look at this picture:

Look to the left, under the bridge...
    THE TRUCK HAS RETURNED.

Those of you familiar with this dreaded enemy know what this means, and those of you not familiar with it should be glad you are not! In order to defeat The Truck I am in the process of forging a sword of infinite cutting power, made of a combination of Adamantite, Adamantium, Mythril, Orichalcum+, Protosteel, Exsidian, Nintendium, and Brightsteel and energized by Lightsaber crystals, but I fear it will not be complete in time...

Join me in the battle against The Truck! Bring as many allies and weapons as you can--we must be fully prepared when Black and White are released and The Truck launches its attack!

(Yeah, I'm a little insane...pay no attention to the otaku behind the computer screen.)
  17. Pahrak Model ZX
After my long service in Cornelia, I was regrettably cast into the Void once again, ending up in a digital world of computer programs. Still, this is another world I am familiar with, and I have used that knowledge to modify the programing that now makes up my body, amplifying my strength to become Guts Style Pahrak!

But anyway, Sekai Final Stretch is going strong! We're now at 147 chapters, and I did some calculations--if I can keep to my plans, Sekai should be complete about mid-November! I've been doing a lot of double-features lately, but once we get to 153 it'll mainly be one chapter a day on to the end, so be prepared for things to slow down and become more suspenseful. SUSPENSE!!

Ahem...admittedly, there's still quite a bit of work left to do on the Spirit Index. I'll do my best to get it up as soon as I can, but it's probably going to take a while.

Also, I believe I mentioned a new Bioni-Lords project recently? I shall reveal that soon, on this very blog...hopefully.

Forgotten Bond is 50% typed! I may be able to start posting it soon after Sekai is complete.

I'm also thinking of throwing some MoCs up in the BBC forum sometime soon, if anyone's interested. If I do, I'll put a link here.

A new fighter for Pokken Tournament has been announced!

If type immunity comes into play then this is a very broken fighter we are looking at. They probably won't, of course...though Gengar could still be broken who knows.

Personally I'm hoping the game gets representatives for each Generation and type, but it'll be awhile before we'll know about that. I'm just really excited, I want to play this game.

    Bioni-Lords:

    Bioni-Lords Book 3: Kako
-Le-Isle: After their harrowing experience with the King of Kohrak, our heroes make it to Le-Isle with new power, believing themselves to be ready for any threat. That belief will be tested when they encounter a boy of mysterious heritage who leads them in an investigation of a haunted castle. What is more dangerous: the monster said to stalk the halls, or the Shadow Consortium’s experiments to create a brand new Element?
-Ga-Isle: As Valxan continues his crusade against the Suit Bosses, the Shock Trooper Division sets their sights on the island of Water. Its goal: the total annihilation of Ga-Isle and everyone on it! With an agent capable of blasting the whole place to smithereens, does the Water-Lord stand a chance?
-Flora-Isle: There can be no more doubt—Les Quatre Frères de Lame are gathering, meaning a disaster is not far away! An ancient tribe on the island of Jungle may have some answers, but their mysterious leader has ordered they stay mute. Who is it keeping our heroes in the dark: the Consortium in disguise, or something else entirely?
-Healer-Isle: Tragedy strikes on Flora-Isle! An emergency trip to Healer-Isle is one character’s only hope, but even the best doctors in the world may not be enough.

Bioni-Lords: Story of the Violet Rose
A mean-spirited girl, desperate to escape her boring life, crosses paths with a villain obsessed with legends. Will she care enough to stop him, or sit by as he awakens a long-forgotten evil?

Bioni-Lords: Story of the Honored Soul
A lonely child sets out on her journey, but ends up in the way of a man gathering strange artifacts. Is his plan to draw out the Archaic Spirits madness, or a recipe for disaster?

    Other Possibilities:
(These are still just ideas; I may not actually go through with any of them, but I see no harm in tossing them in here. If you have any questions or see one that sounds interesting, please speak up!)

    Creation For Creation’s Sake
The Hapori—entities of fantastic power created by the Great Beings and then left without purpose. Can the newest addition to their ranks cope with this empty existence, or will he lose himself in pursuit of answers?

    Legend of the Makoki Stones
The story of Dragon Ball Z, the world of Bionicle. A young warrior named Tahu gets drawn into a hunt for the magical Makoki Stones, racing against the evil Teridax! When the mythical Bahrag is summoned, will it grant Teridax’s wish for ultimate power?

    Untitled 1
Three Toa guarding a village on the Northern Continent come under attack from a Vortixx wielding a rusty sword imbued with the power of Poison. Barely surviving, they discover the trial is not over—more warriors are on their way, each wielding a shadowy Mangaia Blade! Can this small group of Toa defeat villains with the power of some of the most dangerous Rahkshi?

    Untitled 2
In a timeline without heroes, new weapons are constructed to protect the Matoran: Exo-Vahki, powerful mecha designed to fend off any evil! But in order to activate the Exo-Link System, the Matoran pilots must put aside their differences, else a looming darkness will obliterate them all.

After completing a paper that is literally 1 word over the minimum count and submitting it with approximately 5 and a half hours to spare, I am officially done with the semester. A little stressful, but the classes weren't too bad overall.

Except for that 8 AM science class. To heck with that class.

But anywho, I have about a month off before the next semester starts, so in between my job and intense sleep, I'm going to try to be productive with non-school-type things. Hopefully I can even get somewhere with Bioni-Lords!

So yeah, I'm officially on Christmas Break. Woo.

So Clannad is a pretty good anime. You know, if you like crying your eyes out.

Also, I ended up seeing the last half of Syfy's Sharnado since there was nothing else on. It was exactly what you'd expect. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

There's been a ton of Pokemon news lately, plus the new movie is out in Japan! I'm already getting a tentative team together. I'm thinking Froakie, Yveltal, Honedge, and Noivern for now...going to need a Ground type to cover the Electric weakness of Yveltal, though.

In other news, Kingdom Hearts X [chi] is now holding an open beta! It's free to play, but you'll need a Japan Yahoo ID to access it. I don't really feel like making one.

I've posted a new short story: Programming Disconnect. With all the talk about how shipping is non-canon in the MU, I decided it would be interesting to write something about an Agori falling in love with a Matoran who is incapable of understanding (let alone returning) those feelings. Being an author, I enjoy finding new ways to torment readers.

The new Regular Show was a half-hour of mecha anime references including but not limited to an opening parodying Cruel Angel's Thesis and combining with the moon via drills

And it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen

I never wanted to like this show but I've also never been able to resist it

I wasn't sure they could top revealing one of the characters to be a Russian spy but they found a way

    Congratulations Cartoon Network

Okay, so some of you probably know that I love The World Ends With You, I've mentioned it a few times before. It was an amazing DS game, and in August 2012 they released a remake for iOS devices (TWEWY Solo Remix) that carried with it a new piece of artwork heavily implying a sequel. Since then, while nothing really came of that implication, Square Enix was still doing a decent amount of stuff to keep TWEWY in our minds, so I remained hopeful.

Well, Solo Remix has now been removed from the App Store.

This saga has been playing out for a while, actually--apparently iOS 8 wouldn't run Solo Remix, someone emailed SE and they said they weren't gonna fix it, then someone said they would fix it, and, well...I guess the first person was right. If you have the game, you can still play it, but you can't download it anymore, and presumably the DLC function doesn't work anymore.

Now, Solo Remix was also released on Android last year, and it seems you can still download it on your Android devices, but I would recommend doing that fast because this does not bode well. I guess the most hopeful way to spin this is that maybe they're taking it down to release an iOS 8 compatible version, but I don't know if that's actually a thing people do and just doesn't seem that likely to me at the moment.

This is super disappointing. And things were looking so bright when they put TWEWY songs in Theatrhythm...

    nice

After a recent leak of the release date (October 2nd), Capcom has gone ahead and provided a huge new update on the upcoming game, with a new trailer, cover art, several gaming news outlets getting a hands-on demo, and man I am PUMPED.

    The
shows off some new footage and explains the Double Gear system we previously caught glimpses of: you can either activate a Power Gear to enhance the strength of the Mega Buster, or a Speed Gear to slow down time around you. Using these abilities too much results in the system overheating for a short time, and apparently when your health is low you can activate them both to achieve incredible power for a short time before suffering an even stronger backlash. Sounds like a lot of fun!
We also get the official name for the Robot Master previously teased, Block Man, and get to see footage of Mega Man battling him and new reveal Fuse Man! Both of their weapons are also seen in action, and seem quite useful in different ways.

There was also information released on collector's editions for both Japan and the states, including a brand new Mega Man amiibo featuring his MM11 design! Hopefully that won't be required for anything too cool...

This was nice, I needed something to lift my spirits and this definitely did the trick. Now if only they'd tell us what's going on with that Star Force costume seem in an early screenshot...
