This past Tuesday, something momentous happened...

I finally got a full team of Pokemon all the way to Level 100!!
(Yeah, I know: what took me so long? Well...I dunno.)
It was originally my Platinum team, but they were also trained in HeartGold, White, and White 2. The team includes Lucario, Infernape, Giratina (Origin Forme), Floatzel, Garchomp, and Luxray. It's a strange feeling, seeing them "completed" like this...but now I'm thinking it's time to restart Platinum with a new team. So farewell, Pokemon Trainer Khadaz--your team has reached its limit, and now you must make way for a new trainer.
    *sniff*
N-No, I'm not crying! I just came out of a battle where a Pokemon used Sandstorm, so I've got some sand in my eye!

    ...Anyway...

More news on TWEWY -LIVE Remix-: more playable characters will be made available in the future, presumably by DLC (Joshua and Beat were specifically mentioned). We've also been told that we'll see Minamimoto someday. (Vague, yes, but now we have hope!) Also it's been officially confirmed that Live-chan and Hype-chan are not the same person--I guess some people were afraid the Solo Remix artwork was only hinting at Live Remix? More hope for a sequel!

Been working on Kako, may be able to get Chapter 33 up this week if I can finish my homework. Progress on Chapter 34 has been delayed a bit, but it's a big battle and I want to put some thought into it. I've also been putting some thought towards a couple of side projects, like a preview-type thing with Aile, Zempyst, and Xyla...not sure if I'm going to type it up or just wait to use it in the story. I did finally get Aile and Zempyst's appearances (more or less) finalized, though, so that's something.

Sigh, November...the month where you start to really run out of time to procrastinate on those final projects you've known about the entire semester. So guess what I'll be trying to get myself to focus on this week?

Unchained gave out straw hats in this week's ranking. Thankfully there was a Raid event so it was easy to earn a bunch of Lux! I've been trying different outfits lately anyway, so I changed things around and this is what I'm looking like at the moment.

I'm totally not going to use this to make a One Piece reference. Nope. Just a...straw hat. No need to mention rubber pirates.

Wow, this is probably the first (or maybe second?) time I've not worn a jetpack since being able to wear a jetpack.

How do you suppose a wedding planner would react if I asked him/her to plan a fictional wedding?
...Cause...I got the idea in my head to actually write out Khadaz and Amy's wedding someday, but I know nothing about weddings...

    ...

...Anyway, the Spirit Index has been updated. Exo's Desk will get an Elemental Rarity update soon-ish (maybe, see below). Currently tossing around a few more Spirit ideas...think I might skip making a Chronicler 11 since not a whole lot happened in the Bionicle story last year. Oh, and I'm in talks to finalize the last King Bohrok!

Oh, and, uh...Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released, so...I probably won't get a whole lot of extra work done anytime time soon. Eheheh...

Like I said, I've been writing some Bioni-Lords-related stuff for one of my classes this semester, and since you guys went all of January with no Kako material, I thought you might be interested to see some of this stuff. Below is my attempt at an exercise in scenery, though it turned into a dialogue with some character development...hope to include it in Kako, but we'll have to see.

Tahra turned her back on the ocean and shrugged, saying, "Eh, it's not so great."
"You think so?" Kytan replied. "I don't know...I kind of like it."
"You need to see some more scenery."
    "Such as?"
"Such as the finer sights on my island."
Kytan paused, eventually asking, "Could you be more specific?"
Tahra gave him a sideways glance and asked, "Is it that important to you...?"
"You don't have to share if you don't want to, but...I'm curious."
"Alright," Tahra said dismissively, turning back around. "Well, one of my favorites is the charred forest."
Kytan immediately remembered the vast cluster of dead, black-shelled trees that rose out of the red dirt on Ta-Isle. "Really?"
Tahra gave him an impatient look, but very calmly said, "I'm not finished yet."
Now that Kytan knew not to interrupt her, she continued, "It might not be much normally, but it's gorgeous when the sun breaks through the clouds after a heavy rain, when the magmist is still dispersing."
A confused look crossed Kytan's face, and when Tahra noticed it she said, "Magmist? Volcano fog? You don't know about that? Huh, thought you would. I trust you remember the giant volcano on the island, at least? Well, when there's a lot of tain over the volcano, the water hitting the lava creates a whole bunch of steam that rolls over the top, down the slopes, and out into the charred forest. Not really sure why it stays so low--might have to do with the winds or the atmosphere or something. But anyway, it's called volcano fog, or magmist if you're lazy or like slang. It's from 'magma' and 'mist', by the way. When you're on the slopes of the volcano looking down, and the rain has stopped, and some sunlight punches through the clouds, it's a real nice scene."
As she went on, both her tone and expression began to gradually soften:
"The light's gentle, and it makes your view just clear enough to see the magmist swirling slowly, like its crawling steadily along the ground. Soon you lose it in the trees, but the branches intertwine to form a quilt that adds an extra layer to the scene, and they also cast this intricate shadow that keeps changing as the mist it falls on changes. That's when it starts to rise--it's quick but not too quick, and it seems to slow down when it twists around the branches...it kind of looks like the trees are alive again, with white leaves that look sorta...mystical agaisnt the black bark and the red ground. By then there's more sun, which makes the whole place light up, and as you see the mist make the last stretch of its trip upwards, you think back and realize it was like seeing snow fall in reverse, especially with how it thins out. And when it's over, even though you're just looking at a bunch of dead trees...the sunlight has come such a long way from where it started that the forest looks more hopeful than it's ever been. Maybe you expect the reversal of the seasons to keep going--leaves to jump up on the trees and turn green..."
For the first time, Kytan saw Tahra smile; not a sarcastic smile, or amused, or teasing, but a soft smile that could only be generated by a genuine happiness that Tahra usually didn't seem to possess.
"...Dad would always go to check on the volcano after a really bad rainstorm, and eventually I convinced him to take me with him. After seeing that view just once, there was never a single time I let him go without me..."
Tahra suddenly jolted, as if she had just now realized that Kytan was there, and she immediately turned her head so that he wouldn't see the blush rising in her cheeks.
"So, uh...yeah, that's it. You should see it sometime. It's way better than this lame ocean. Seriously, who cares? It's just water. I hate water..."

Back to school! That's right, now I need to try once again to balance my mental focus between the stuff I give you guys and the stuff I'm actually being graded on! This semester I'm taking an Intro to Creative Writing class, so hopefully that'll have some results on Kako.

Oh, yes, Kako...well, I'm still waiting on a few bits of information. I COULD move further without it, but I think I'm going to hold out a little longer to see what I can get. I may still get it up in February, but even if I do delay it I'll still be sure to get it in by March or April, I promise.
I'm wrapping up the Po-Isle 'incident' as we speak, and after that there's just some more Orb Battles, some character development, and maybe a scene in Shadow Consortium HQ...

Also, I recently found out that the cycle is now complete. Bioni-Lords was originally an imitation of Pokemon, and now Pokemon has an imitation of Bioni-Lords. (This page makes it even clearer.)
I was a little ticked at first, but...meh. From what I've read it's actually not that bad, and who knows, it could give me some new ideas/inspirations for Bioni-Lords.

And speaking of cycles, remind me to share a list of cycle-type things in the Ikhav Trilogy at some point. I need to write them all down so I don't forget any, but...might have it ready by next week. I wouldn't say that it has spoilers for Kako, but...

On an unrelated note, is anyone else seriously ticked that Lego Shop @ Home STILL doesn't have the new Breez listed?! She's the last one from this wave that I want!!

So anyway, even though I'm back in school I'll still do my best to stay on top of Bioni-Lords and stuff. That stuff usually ends up taking priority, actually...but, God-willing, I'll still be posting Forgotten Bond chapters every Tuesday and Thursday, and blog posts every Friday. Also, I'm going to try fine-tuning VioletRose and HonoredSoul so that I can have them finalized by the time the semester ends. We'll have to see how that goes.

EDIT: Okay, I'm having a fan attack and need to do something...feel free to ignore this.
I've been keeping up with news on the next Kingdom Hearts game (surprise surprise), and it turns out that you'll be able to have a triceratops fight alongside you. There is so much win in this fact that I'm nearly having a heart attack.
So yeah, expect this to become a Bioni-Spirit once the game is released, along with who knows how many other things from the game.
  5. Pahrak Model ZX
But first, obligatory Bioni-Lords update: Kako 29 was posted earlier this week, currently typing Kako 30 and will probably get it up either today or Monday, and I've started writing Kako 31.

Also, I must call to your attention that this November, Square Enix is holding a The World Ends With You concert in Shibuya. Since I cannot put how awesome this is into words, that is all I have to say.

Okay, Tokyo Game Show news! (If there's anything else relevant to my interests revealed later today or tomorrow, I'll be updatin' this post.)

-First off, Muramasa: The Demon Blade is being ported to PS Vita! Not a whole lot of news on it yet, but they've said it will have some kind of new content. Muramasa is hands-down my favorite Wii game, so getting a portable version I can play without hogging the TV is a blessing.
-By now I imagine you've all heard of Mega/Rockman Xover, Capcom's attempt to celebrate Megaman's 25th anniversary. The concept is great--put all the different Megamen in one game--but it's actually an iOS game where the playable Megaman just keeps moving right automatically, ending in a turn-based boss battle. I'll let you draw your own conclusions...oh, but they did publish a pretty cool piece of artwork with all the Megamen!
-Yeah, I'm moving on to Kingdom Hearts now, heh. There was some new merchandise being shown off, including more formation arts figures for KHII and the new play arts figures for KH3D. (On a side note, why did we not get any BBS play arts?! Let me love you, Aqua! D: ) The KH3D figures shown were Sora and Riku in their basic and Grid forms, and a selection of Keyblades were also shown. This selection did not include Skull Noise, the TWEWY-themed Keyblade, so I am disappoint.
-The big KH announcement was "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX," which will apparently put KH Final Mix (now with Japanese voice acting), KH Re: CoM, and scenes from KH 358/2 Days on one disc for the PS3...in HD, obviously. See, this is where I have to go into an unpopular opinion: I really don't get HD, so I just see this as a placeholder to fill the "one game a year" quota for 2013. I mean, we already played these games...they're just being given slightly better graphics and trophy support. Also, I'm sick of looking at Sora KH1 version; after seeing it in KH1, CoM, and Re:coded, I'm anxious for them to do more with his KHII or 3D clothes, or a new outfit. Not to mention I don't have a PS3. Still, if they're not going to add in any new features, I won't be going out and buying a PS3 just for this.
-What interests me more is the vaguest announcement: a Kingdom Hearts PC browser game that appears to be set during the Keyblade War (!!). We haven't been given a lot of info--just a brief overview of the setting, confirmation that Wonderland and Keyblade Graveyard are worlds, and that it uses KH Mobile/Theatrhythm Final Fantasy character avatars (which I, personally, have never been a fan of). It's also been said that this is a basic 2D action game and uses cards in battle, but, again, details are scarce. Looking forward to this one...

Well, that's it for now. Can't wait to see what else we get out of TGS!

    EXECUTE!

So I can now play as my first Mega Man in Smash. The only way this gets better is if they eventually add my favorite Mega Man too. As soon as the servers get a break I am downloading this at once.
  7. Pahrak Model ZX
Hm, not much has happened in the two weeks since my last update.

I did add a few new Spirits to the Index, and I'll be adding another one soon.

Oh, and Kako 40 went up this past week. 41 should be up in a few days. Currently writing 42, but I'm trying to put a little more thought into it.

I've also been brainstorming on another story, but I haven't decided for sure if I'm going to go through with it yet. Then again, once a bad idea gets in my head, it tends to stick and force me to go through with it no matter what, haha...
  8. Pahrak Model ZX
Yeah, I went ahead and did it.

Technic Tournament is sort of a reboot of Technic Warzone, which itself was sort of a reboot of Technic Coliseum, which itself was sort of a reboot of the Technic Coliseum that was running before the forums crashed. (Dang, I guess I have been doing this for a while…shoot is this actually the five years mark?!)

Basically: you join, you spend money to promote the matches, if the character you promoted wins then you get money back. Whoever has the most money at the end of the tournament wins the game!

The characters are taken from Bionicle, Hero Factory, RoboRiders, and Slizers/Throwbots. To keep things small and easy to manage, I went with four from each line (in Bionicle’s case, 2 from G1 and 2 from G2). They were randomized into their current match-ups, and then, you know…things just go from there, like any tournament.

I’m going to let players join whenever they want, but it’ll only get harder to catch up with each round that passes, so your best chance to win is to join before the end of round 1 (Friday, July 17th at 9:30 PM Eastern Time)! I hope you’ll enjoy it!

"My name is Kytan Ikhav...and this is the story of how I became the 10th Level Bioni-Lord."

20 years before Khadaz's quest, the Ikhav Trilogy both begins...and concludes.

"She was killed...for no reason at all, she was killed! And there's NOTHING I can do about it!!"

The tale of the previous generation is one of heartbreak and fractured brotherhood.

"I WILL have my revenge, whether you help me or not. Stay out of my way, Genakex...or I won't hesitate to kill you."

Learn the reason for Kytan's madness. See the cause of the misery he sought to share with the world.

"Anything to get her back. I'll commit genocide against every living species before I give up."

    Bioni-Lords Book 3: Kako

"Just one more time...I wanted us all to be together."

    Complete the cycle.

    Coming Soon

Tentative Preview Schedule: (Subject to change)

    Preview 1--December 2nd
    Preview 2--December 9th
    Preview 3--December 16th
    Preview 4--December 23rd
    Possible Preview 5--December 30th

If the schedule should change, I'll make a blog post informing everyone.
An update on the new Spirit Index--it's complete through #1000, so it'll hopefully be done relatively soon. After that, we have some new Spirits to add!
I might make another blog post or two about Kako info before the Book begins. I'd like to properly introduce a few characters in addition to showing them in Previews, and I might want to make some hints about the King Bohrok who are involved in Kako's plot...
On an unrelated note, BIONICLE: The Forgotten Bond is about 70% typed! I may have to put off typing more until this semester is over, but I should have a release date soon enough. Keep your eyes open in January!

    Happy Thanksgiving!
  10. Pahrak Model ZX
Yeah, Square Enix is at SDCC showing off some cool new Kingdom Hearts merch, but something even more interesting?

We're hitting the third anniversary of Kingdom Hearts X in Japan, and the special artwork released for it gives us a glimpse at what might be KHIII outfits for Riku and Kairi--but do you know what is even more interesting?

    KEYBLADE ARMOR AVATAR PARTS.

My prayers have been answered! And they're color-coded by Union to boot! I love the Ursus armor color scheme, I can't wait for it to reach NA Unchained! I really, really hope it will be free...or if it does cost jewels, I hope I have enough to buy it while it's available. I want Keyblade Armor really badly. Really, really badly.
  11. Pahrak Model ZX
(Yeah, that title is definitely gonna grab attention, heheheheh…)

A new update for Right of Law is up, but before I get to that: in the time since the last update, this story was actually featured on the home page! This really floored me—it’s a huge honor to know that someone on the staff read this story I’ve been working so hard on and thought it was worth letting other people know about it! I’ll continue doing my best to make this story a good read, and hopefully I won’t drag my feet about it since this is looking so, so much longer than I was originally planning…

Which brings us to Section VII! The drones finally reach Bitil’s outpost, and the battle to defend it begins! I wanted to do this all in one chapter, but it’s already decently-sized and there’s a good amount more I want to do, and combining that with how long it’s been since Section VI went live, I think I’m going to go ahead and post what I have right now. With any luck, this means Section VIII is not far away!
  12. Pahrak Model ZX
As should be evident, this blog post will contain MASSIVE spoilers. Seriously, if you keep reading you’ll spoil a super important and surprising thing that happens in a video game, so do so at your own risk.

At first this was going to be a post opening discussion about what games people felt had effective player character deaths, but then I decided to stop playing around and just openly gush about Final Fantasy V. Well, one aspect of it, at least. The title probably tipped you off, but around the middle (or maybe a little later) of the game, one of the four playable characters you’ve had up to that point actually dies as part of the story. And it’s actually pretty great.

So basically, go play Final Fantasy V. It’s on smartphones now so you really don’t have an excuse.
  13. Pahrak Model ZX
So, D23 announced that Kingdom Hearts III will have a world based on Big Hero 6! Apparently it will take place after the movie, and the "original Baymax" will be possessed by darkness? I haven't seen the movie so I don't fully get it, but the artwork looks awesome, and since they seem to be working with the original creators, this might be the first instance of Kingdom Hearts actually providing a canon sequel to a thing...maybe. If so that would be really cool.

Now I need to find a way to watch Big Hero 6. I've decided that I'm going to watch every movie that gets announced for KHIII--I finally saw Tangled, and I'm thinking I may as well rewatch Hercules too. If the BH6 world is going to be after the movie, then I really, really need to watch it.

Also there was some KH stuff getting into Disney Infinity! People at the Expo got a disc thing to unlock Mickey KHII costume, and apparently the Kingdom Key is the "Ultimate Unlock" of 3.0, whatever that means. This is really cool, but not enough to make me buy Disney Infinity just yet; if they continue to add KH stuff then I might have too, though.

Was kind of hoping for Unchained X news, but it's releasing in Japan next month so it's no big deal.
  14. Pahrak Model ZX
Kingdom Hearts first, since there’s less.
-Sora’s going to be in World of Final Fantasy as DLC. Haven’t been following this so eh
-1.5 and 2.5 are being put together as one collection on PS4. So once this, 2.8, and III are all out, you can have the entire series on one console! I really need a PS4!!
    -The
has been released. Master Aqua…-Two screenshots for KHIII were also shown, and it appears we’re getting new/modified Drive Forms? One picture shows “Guard Form”, which uses the Keyblade shield we’ve seen previously and has a yellow color scheme. The other is “Power Form”, though…I’m not sure it’s different from the standard form we’ve seen? Also they edited the screenshot so we couldn’t see the new Keyblade he’s using. Boo. But Drive Forms, that’ll be cool to have those back!

    Okay then, on to the
!-The final evolutions of the starters are confirmed! Popplio’s final form, Primarina, is Water/Fairy like everyone expected. In a shocking twist, Rowlet’s final form, Decidueye (how do you pronounce that?) is Grass/Ghost, and Litten’s final form, Incineroar is Fire….DARK! Oh thank God, that was a close call. Anyway they all have new moves too, I hope this stays a continuing trend.
-The Island Guardians have all been revealed! In addition to Tapu Koko there’s Tapu Lele (Psychic/Fairy), Tapu Bulu (Grass/Fairy, oddly enough), and Tapu Fini (Water/Fairy). They all know Nature’s Madness, have an ability that creates a specific Terrain, and share a Z Move called Guardian of Alola which basically teleports the Yellow Devil over from Mega Man’s world so that the Guardian in totem-head form can sit atop it and smash its foes. Brutal.
-Clarification on Alolan Persian, it’s Dark type and abilities are Fur Coat and Technician.
-A new Pokemon named Cosmog is revealed. Pure Psychic, and is very mysterious due in part to its lore (extremely rare, previously known only to royalty, the Aether Foundation is studying it) and a certain thing about it seen in leaks, but I’m not going into that. I’m curious to see what happens with this one.
-There’s a place called Battle Tree where people are trying to construct a Pokemon League. Not sure if it’s going to be finished later on or not, but for the time being we’ll still be able to battle certain powerful trainers there (and team up with them as well.) Shown are Wally (eh, okay?), Cynthia (!!!), and new redesigns of Blue and Red (he still doesn’t talk, it’s hilarious). This interests me.

We’re getting so close to Sun and Moon now please be good PLEASE be good.
  15. Pahrak Model ZX
So over in Japan, Kingdom Hearts X did a “final episode” a few days ago, and a very short “special episode” today.

These Are Obviously Spoilers As expected, the main event of KHX’s finale is the full-fledged Keyblade War. It does first take a moment to have a final confrontation with the Nightmare Chirithy, who reveals that the Guilt we’ve been using is actually the power of darkness, which gave birth to him—meaning you are his Player. What a twist! Then he absorbs some of those Heartless who used to be Players and attacks you.

So anyway, Keyblade War! It’s…actually really, really dark! They show flashes of random players attacking, with the narration noting that they aren’t fighting monsters any more, they’re fighting people who used to be friends. You then proceed to fight, one after another, every Foreteller aside from your own. And then you collapse on the cold hard ground in the middle of a field of abandoned Keyblades as the rain pours down on you. Chirithy climbs onto your chest and holds onto you. Dang.

Then it gets weird. Bright light shines down, and Skuld and Ephemer appear to the Player. So, you probably survive…I guess. That was the end of the final episode. The special episode is titled “Unchained 0”, and shows you and Chirithy wake up in Enchanted Dominion (Sleeping Beauty), where Chirithy says you’ve been having strange dreams ever since Ava invited you to join the Dandelions. Which was kind of a while ago. It’s already been said that X and Unchained X diverge somewhere, so I guess we know where, if not exactly how. The sucker punch is that it then shows Maleficent, and she says “Sora and his friends can’t find me here.” Hoo boy.

    Various theories I’ve seen include:
-Maleficent can time travel (though I’m not sure how, given the requirements 3D established, so I’m not onboard with this one)
-Alternate timelines (this isn’t something we’ve seen in KH thus far and seems to clash with 3D’s time travel plot…though, the Player waking up with memories that Chirithy remembers differently does sound a little like Reading Steiner…)
-The “Unchained realm” is the realm contained within the Book of Prophecies (which might be accessible through Jiminy’s Journal), and this is where we are now
-Player died and Daybreak Town became a Sleeping World, a projection of the Player was then generated to fill in the gaps in the dream, but now that projection has gained its own sentience and become “unchained”
-Either X or Unchained is a dream within a dream (like what happened with Riku in 3D)
-The possibility that the Book of Prophecies is actually a gateway to the Realm of Sleep

And I just don’t even know, man, I don’t even know. But insane as it might be I’m actually kind of excited. Maybe II.8 will give us something to work with? And it isn’t really clear exactly when Unchained “season 2” is going to start, but hopefully soon. You know, soon for Japanese players.

*goes back to playing Unchained and getting killed on Adamantite quests*

This is probably poorly organized but what the heck. Spoilers obviously, mainly pertaining to X and its variations though it also deals with Master Xehanort's plans, which is more of a BBS/3D thing. Also refers to the second secret ending of the Re:coded cinematic in 2.5, but that's the only interesting thing about that story so I don't feel bad if I spoil that.

So if Master Xehanort’s Keyblade is “the most ancient Keyblade in existence”, then the most logical assumption is that it was made by the Master of Masters, right? As far as we know he was the first wielder, given how early in the timeline X is and that’s when Keyblades really took off. It would also explain its similarities to the Foretellers’ Keyblades.

And I think we were all pretty surprised to find out that the guy in the black coat talking to the Foretellers is the Master of Masters. I was sure he was the mysterious Sixth Apprentice.

And that’s a weird point too: If the Master of Masters gave new names and Tomes of Prophecies to five of his apprentices, it’s really strange that he didn’t do that for the sixth.

But you know…that Keyblade is heavily associated with someone who likes putting his heart into other people to possess them. And the story of the Foretellers seems to parallel Ansem and his apprentices, which ended with one of them assuming his identity. Except, maybe this time, that happened in reverse?

I wonder if, after giving Tomes and new names to the Foretellers, the Master of Master possessed his final apprentice. This Keyblade might’ve always been used for obtaining new vessels–this could be the “will that has been passed down.”

Related to that, I’ve also been wondering what all powers a Master of Masters might have. Keyblade Masters are able to control hearts. Would a Master of Masters’ powers be a logical extension of that? My first thought on how that might work would be that a Master can control their own heart, but a Master of Masters can also control the hearts of others. Of course, we’ve already been told that regular Masters can control the hearts of others…but as far as I recall, the only one we’ve seen do that is Xehanort. The guy who has the Keyblade that probably belonged to the Master of Masters. So, maybe?

Anyway there are a few different ways I think this could go:
-One possibility is that the Master of Masters is going to end up being the True Villain, and Xehanort has been possessed by him for a while now. This is a twist Kingdom Hearts is rather fond of, and it would fit well with Young Xehanort’s apathy and insistence that getting that Keyblade is what will direct his destiny, plus the Master of Master’s future-seeing ability would go a long way towards explaining how crazy-prepared Xehanort is. Kind of hoping this isn’t the case though. #stopretconningXehanortsidentity
-Maybe the Master of Masters is still out there somewhere, and he’ll end up being the villain of the next saga? Xehanort might’ve just learned about the Keyblade and what it was used for through his research. Now, if the Keyblade is tied to vessel-making, then it may not be likely he’s still body-jumping now that Xehanort has it, but there are other ways he could still be around. Perhaps he has also become Unchained, whatever that means.
-Or, maybe the Master of Masters was killed long before the Xehanort Saga and Xehanort is just using him as inspiration.

I’m not entirely sure how it’s all going to go down, but I’m positive that Keyblade belonged to the Master of Masters, and I’m very eager to see just what that connection might mean.

So Unchained X is really fun. Help.

But I'm making this entry to see if anyone wanted to form a party! I've set one up (right now it's just called "BZP", but we can brainstorm new names), and I believe I can add anyone if they just give me their ID. (And if you're a part of the Ursus Union.)

I'm still figuring this out, but I believe that's really all there is to it. I'll edit this if further steps are discovered.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, all that stuff.

So much for getting Kako 38 online quickly, heh...sorry. The usual distractions kicked in, but I may be able to put them aside and get the chapter typed up today. I'm just about done writing Kako 39 as well, but I wouldn't expect that this year.

In Spirit news, I was able to get my hands on some new Hero Factory sets and the books, so this combined with the fact that they're on Shop @ Home enabled me to finalize the Hero Factory Spirits! Those plus another unrelated Spirit will probably be up early next year/week, and that should bring us to 1598. (How did that happen?!)

Other than that, not a whole lot has happened. I was thinking about doing a "Top 5 Apocalypses" thing, but then I realized that might be a little too spiteful. Oh well. See you next year.

To further expand upon the world of Olkir, I’ve posted The Twins of Justice in short stories!

It’s about the same length as the last one, and centers around an idea that…might not make an appearance in the final story, but I think it’s a neat concept with potential so I wanted to do at least one small thing with it. It also shows two elemental weapons in action: the Sun Gun I’ve mentioned a few times before, and a Jungle weapon named the Viridian Bow, which is actually something that’s been sitting in the back of my mind for years now. (The one here doesn’t do everything I had planned, though, so expect to see this again.) There’s also brief mention of the special abilities the people of Olkir can develop, but more detailed information on that is going to have to wait.

You know, I think I’m just about ready to ask for guest stars. If you’re interested, keep an eye out!

Yet again, brainstorming new fanfic ideas instead of progressing on old ones.

There are two oneshot crossovers I’m thinking of, but I’m also considering one other larger undertaking. Unchained X gave us an opportunity to create an avatar of ourselves within the Kingdom Hearts universe, but naturally, that’s been left as open as possible. So, I can’t help but consider the prospect of fleshing Pahrak out a bit more.

It makes the most sense to start with backstory, but after that, I thought it might be interesting to continue on into a slightly-altered telling of Unchained’s story. Obviously there’s still a lot we don’t know so I might have to make some sharp turns later on to meet back up at the canon ending, but still, it could be fun. And I’d like to play around in this world a little more.

It’ll probably be one of those “post as I have it” things, so I feel like I should pick a title before I really get started. I thought of just doing something simple like Pahrak of Ursus, and I do like the sound of that…but if I wanted something more appropriate for Kingdom Hearts, I’d probably go with something like Re: Unchained X – Oneirism for Avatar.

    Hm. I wonder…

Wow look how simple and not at all complicated this policy actually is

Hey Admins you have my permission to use this handy flowchart if you're sick of reposting the same reminder over and over and over again

Ah who am I kidding you're still going to have to keep posting it

Gathered friends, listen again to the tale of the Bionicle.

In the time before time, Spherus Magna was without leaders. All were lost, drowning in strife and confusion, fixated on selfishness and separateness. Yet out of this chaos rose those who would bring order: the Great Beings. They took control of the lawless word, and guided it into a new age of enlightenment. Under their rule, Spherus Magna prospered, and the land was at peace.

To better organize the masses, the Great Beings selected a warrior from each Tribe to serve as their leaders. Upon these six, the Great Beings bestowed a great power…the power of the Elements. For a time, the Tribes were ruled over by these Element-Lords. But this was not to last. It was discovered that a precious, mysterious resource known as protodermis laid beneath our feet. The Element-Lords wished to control this substance, and entered into competition with one another. Their greed overtook them. Their lust for power drove the entire planet into war.

Displeased by the Element-Lords’ shameful display, the Great Beings ordered them to relinquish their commands. The arrogant Lords saw fit to challenge the beings who made them…and were struck down. The brutal Skrall even sided with the Rock-Lord, thinking they could overthrow the Great Beings and seize power. They shared in his punishment. Only the Sand-Lord had the wisdom to surrender to her betters. She was allowed to live, and would rededicate her life in service of the Great Beings.

The Great Beings knew they could not trust just anyone to solve this crisis, and so they created the perfect servants to accomplish it. Matoran were born to loyally bear the burdens that lay ahead, while Toa were made to enter the depths of the planet and wield its own Elements to repair the damage done to it. It took several years, but in the end, the Great Beings’ plan was successful. The Melding was complete.

With the safety of all assured, the Great Beings wished to turn again to their work. However, they had learned that not just any being could be trusted to lead in their stead, and decided it was time for new leaders to be forged. And so the Great Beings crafted the perfect servants: the noble Makuta, second only to their makers in power and wisdom. With these valiant champions carrying out their will, the Great Beings led the world to peace once more…and this time, peace has remained.

For a thousand centuries, we have been at peace, watched over by the Great Beings and the Makuta. May it last a thousand more, and may none ever again be foolish enough to challenge the Great Beings.
