    My Birthday! :d

    My 14th birthday is this Friday!
    So, I'll be going to the hospital in the morning to have some cake with my grandmother (see previous entry). Just lounge around during the day, going to a movie later, and then going to PF Chang's for dinner.
    And as a birthday present, I want as many people as possible to register and actively use BrickPix. I'm still waiting for people to start using their userpages.

    Cancer And Hospitals

    My Grandmother has multiple myeloma. It is a cancer of the bone marrow. causing it to produce mutant proteins which are deposited in the heart and kidneys. Eventually causing them to stop working. She has had it for almost 1.5yrs. It was diagnosed two months ago. Two months ago.
     
    So, her kidneys stopped functioning two days ago. She's been on Chemo for almost a month. The well... weakened chemo. Her hair hasn't fallen out. It will when they start it stronger. Her heart is okay. She has been in the hospital for a week - she'll be there for two more. She can't stay at home, she cant' even walk on a walker. She doesn't have enough strength to lift her head.
     
    Her doctor could have diagnosed it 1.5yrs ago, when her hip snapped of it's own accord. Randomly. Unpredicted. Nothing to suggest it would.
     
    But, he didn't.
     
    That son-of-a-###### attributed it to "being old."
    ...
    The same way that my Great-Grandmother died last February. The doctor attributed it to "being old."
    ...

    ...
    Her doctor told her chemo would make her feel better, it would kill the proteins. He was a lying friend.
     
     
    Apparently, only her kidneys have failed. Everything else is relatively fine. Except, her tissue is holding 50lbs of liquids. And for some reason, they can't remove it.
     
    Though only her kidneys have failed, her doctor came to her (same doctor as all of these other times), and started telling her that they might not go on with chemo. That she might just decide to go on and die. The other doctors disagree, but they do not have any say in the matter.
     
    She is 64.

    Back To The Basics

    Well, I'm working on a totally new mocing project, which I'm calling "Back to the Basics." In This, I will be attempting to re-moc every set, or at least one of every clone set, up to 2004. This includes Rahi, Toa, etc. I already have a new matoran design I'm going to use, and It'll be nice.
     
    I've already finished Tahu, Jala, Huki, Onepu, Takua, and Matoro. There are a few more Matoran I'll do along the way, from MNOLG and MNOLG 2. I'm also doing the ussals from MNOLG, etc.
    Just some teasers, plus two Mctoran I put together for fun (Matoro has two of the same arms because the normal one is really dirty...).

    As most know, I'm a maccie. As most know, I try to code software. As most know, I make icons in Photoshop. As most know, I code websites.
     
    I am part of the staff of OPT-6 Software (I'm only responsible for the site a graphics, I didn't do the content or code the apps). Our face app is called Kameleon, which is a theming app for macs (10.5 and up). I have just finished the icons for version 2.0, and it IS EPIC.

    I MADE THEM!!!
    EDIT - The app should be out before next wednesday. We hope.

    Hello Everybody (Dr. Nick)! Well, I haven't blogged in a while, but here are some updates!
    The last time I blogged we just arrived in Atlanta, so now let me update you on Wil's Wonderful World (its raining, so Wil's Wonderful Wet World). First off, I've been home about a week, and it is soooooooooo relaxing. I will probably post that huge mysterious vehicle eventually though. I've been trying to moc some old, 2001-2003 sets. I already have an epic Matoran design (one not used in my vehicles). Next I have the Rahi (already done the Fikou, and the Ussal from MNOLG), bohrok (head finished) Bohrok Va, and whatever else.
     
    Aside from that happy stuff, I might be *gasp* home-schooled this year! My parents have been thinking about it, with the terrible Pre-AP program in our public schools, and how my school's staff are a bunch of cool dudes. It would also save us +$1000 per month! I will also be able to have a comp tutor through that, like Objective-C, Cocoa, or PHP!
     
    I have gotten a new comp after my old one broke, and it is very nice. For one, I have enough HD space now!

    Going To Be Gone

    Well, this is terribly ironic. I got back from France. I'm at home. We were on a small, 36 person plane where we could not keep our carry-ons, and they had them at the back of the plane. Afterwards, my computer's screen was broken, the disc drive mangled, and completely rendered useless. I have an appointment with tech support tomorrow, so I won't be on for a while - I'm typing this from my mother's computer now.

    New Mocs And The Time

    Well, first off, tish 11:54 PM! XD I cant' get to sleep. :/ Otherwise, I have six new mocs awaiting upload! Also, I'm transferring ALL of my old galleries, all three to BrickPix in the next week.... scary.
