  1. I would try adding the center tags manually at the beginning and the end of your post in the BBCode editing mode, it works that way. It may have to do with the new editor formatting each line alone instead of the entire text, even if all lines use the same formatting.~Gata. ;)

  2. I already knew about the new skin. Because when the archive was up, if you tried to access your personal messages, it asked for your username and password, and loaded a new page that said you did not have permission, but it did give you a preview of what it would look like. I don't know if this was intentional or not, though.

Rather unintentional I guess, but when the archive went live we were already planning to go live in the next few days, so it made no difference. You could actually already get a look at the new forums by clicking the talkback links from September 14th onward. :P~Gata. ;)
  3. A lot of people are praising or hating the new editor, but from what I can tell, it just looks different. That and the emoticons appear in the same window. Other than that, it looks pretty much the same to me.

It is very different, as you will notice if you switch to BBCode-editing mode (button at the upper left corner of the editor). What I fail to recognize is the big difference to the old rich text editor which gave them reasons to replace it.

I already miss Hapori Tohu. (Yes, I will not be content with anything!)

If you muss Hapori Tohu, check out the latest news talkbacks. :P

And the worst part is that the people at Invision who decided this probably even thought that they were super smart with that move. :annoyed: ~Gata. ;)

I thought they changed hosts and forum systems.

    Oh. >:C

We did change the host, but the board software is still the same. There was no reason to change it, as IPB is actually one of the best, if not the best, softare for forums around, if it were not for the silly editor. :P~Gata. ;)
  4. I must admit I HATE the new editor. So far, all I can recognize fom the new editor is just issues, problems and more fuss for editing.

You can always fall back on the old BB code.

And there comes the annoying part, having to copy and paste the BBCode manually for every post. I wonder why on earth you can´t embed BBCode with the click of a button, but do can insert it manually. ~Gata. ;)

It really depends on how coded your posts are, and much you looooooove typing.

    .

Like, I don't mind bolding and colouring my posts, as that's just a case of [ b] and *insert colour tag here, because it woukdn't let me doit as simple text with out screwing my whole post up

:P*, and closing tags, and I'm a rubbish typer. Anything more than that and I have to have the code in a notepad document or the system that we have now.

Oh wow I just realised you actually can't use any of the buttons while in BB code. How... does that make sense? At all?

It was still much easier before, and I fail to see the advantage of disabling buttons for BBCode editing. If it weren´t for that, I wouldn´t mind the new editor too much (although it keeps doing strange things with quoted posts and their formatting). And the worst part is that the people at Invision who decided this probably even thought that they were super smart with that move. :annoyed:~Gata. ;)

  7. 1684716.gifTime to say goodbye...Precisely and coincidentally today, on September 28th 2012, it's been three years ago that work started on this project. Rarely have I ever been as dedicated and proud about a project as this one. I can still remember my enthusiasm which endured for a lot of time and was re-ignited a few months ago, when I decided to build an entirely new BOGA website. I started building a truly professional and entirely self-written website for the first time, gaining more knowledge about programming and designing websites than ever before. I used to spend hours every day working on the website and if I was already proud of the website before, I was going to be even more proud of the new one. I had lots of great things in mind for it and couldn't wait to implement them. But the times change and must change. When I started working on the website, I was 14 years old, I was in school, and BIONICLE was still running, albeit about to end. Now, three days later, I have graduated, BIONICLE is long over, and I'm going to start college in two weeks. I had reached a point in building the new website which had become tedious several weeks ago, so I decided to take a break as I had found I had lost motivation. I thought it would come back, but unfortunately it has not. In addition to that, I have had to take several important decisions for the future and to establish priorities. I'm very sorry to realize that if already in the past months it had become increasingly difficult to keep the website up-to-date and to answer to all help requests in time, it would become entirely impossible once I would be busy with college. I have always managed this website entirely on my own, but unfortunately, that stopped working months ago. It's become time for me to say goodbye to some old things and say hello to new ones. The imminent cancellation of the hosting services kindly offered by DJ Reidak's Studios have supported my decision to shut down the BOGA website and services indefinitely. Much work and time has been spent on the new website, and chances are the BOGA may return in another shape and form sometime in the future, but not anytime soon.I would like to thank everyone who downloaded from this website and supported it through its run. You are the reason this website existed, and I thank you for your support and for the opportunity. I would like to thank everybody who contributed to creating offline versions of the many great games that for most of us represent our childhood. A special thanks to DJ Reidak's Studios and BIONIFIGS who kindly translated the website to French as part of a project to translate the website to a number of languages. Due to time issues, their translation was never published, and I would like to apologize for that. The games can still be downloaded from the site until the hosting services are shut down. After that, though, they won't be re-uploaded within this project.Thank you everyone for a fantastic three-year run. 8. You can do either, though you're still bound by the one-post-a-day rule, so you'd be better off just linking to the older sections in the archive and creating a new review topic.

Indeed, forgot about that rule. I will have to refresh all the rules after this nearly-six-month break of Forum Mentoring. :P I don´t know if there is an exception of this rule for old topics, though, I guess that is up to the staff of the Epics forum.~Gata. ;)
  9. I have been tweeting a lot, talking via Skype more than usual and also enjoying as much as three big LEGO Universe updates during that time. :P And as Skrief aka KonguZlap has said two posts above me, also telling people on LU about the forum´s status all the time. :PApart from computer stuff, since it has been so long there is too much to list, but in the last two weeks I have also been writing on a 20-page essay for school.~Gata. ;)
