    Fair of Bricks

    That happened.
     
    I arrived Thursday and helped setup floor pads, table clothes, etc with Friar Tuck and Black Six. More and more people showed up eventually as the day went on, and MOCs started getting setup. After picking up Spink from the airport with Six and ToM, we went to CPK (California Pizza Kitchen).
     
    Completely missed out on the tower building event that happened while we were eating out. NEXT YEAR.
     
    Bingo Grande and the Opening Ceremonies were after that followed by more setup.
     
    Friday morning we made our run to the LEGO store. I got zombies, werewolves, and Dracula's castle? Plus cake!
     
    Friday consisted of more setup after the LEGO store. Disky arrived late in the afternoon, but we ordered pizza! I hear it was dubbed the BZPizza Party or some such. Then there was Laser Tag!

    Laser Tag per usual was awesome. THE SORENESS AFTER WAS NOT.
     
    And then there was Saturday....
    I'm not even going to mention the Great BZPower Lunch Adventure. Totally didn't mean for people to miss people during public hours.
     
    BfA got to see Bionicle tables.
     
    The yard sale took place and I mainly got system pieces, but I got a nice bag of black technic and Bionicle pieces. That evening we just chilled in our room.
     
    Sunday. The last day.
     
    Probably the funnest too? I spent the morning doing photographs. Hung out at the tables. The main fun occurred after tearing everything down. We wound up at the same restaurant as Astrid and Fanella, the two LEGO designers from Denmark. We surprised them with dessert and offered up some real American hospitality.
     
    Darn Zatth didn't order any food so I gave him the macaroni and cheese I ordered. Let's just say it was some of the best Mac and cheese we've ever had.
     
    Then there was the great Skype party we had going on until almost midnight. BFAhome, Emperor Whenua, and Kohaku are awesome.
     
    That's about it. I didn't cover everything but it was a lot of fun. Especially getting to meet so many new people and getting to know some better. I'll post pictures as soon as I get home.
     
    I spent so much money on LEGO, but I wanted to buy it cheap while i could.
     
    Who knew so many people would like Chandelure? Actual LEGO people like Kevin Hinkle loved it.
     
    Plus I got to meet Ballom, Chols, Laughin' Man, Avohkah Tamer, Takuma Nuva, his cousin, Aderia, and so many others. Super happy funtimes.

    I work the morning shift tomorrow and then I'm officially on vacation. I'm half packed but I have so many different things to do....
    Transfer funds.
    Call hotel again.
    Print out important documents.
    Pack entirely.
    Finish MOC.
    Test Stability of aforementioned MOC.
    Disassemble and pack MOC.
    Obtain lowerment of ears.
    Sleep.
    Pay bills.
    Pack more things.
    Remember to leave out clothes to wear.

    I'm probably forgetting something somewhere...
     
    Yep.

    Pick up medication from pharmacy.

    Sorta partially halfway haphazardly started to finish a MOC and packing my other stuff. The finishing touches are going excellent on the MOC. I just have to figure out how I'm going to pack the thing...

    Man I've been waiting forever for this vacation, so planning on going to more than one convention a year.
     
    It just isn't fun going to one once a year.

    Finished up my finals with a 98.75% and 98%.
     
    Now I just have to write up one lab report and I'm officially done with class. Class doesn't end until Sunday, but I'm getting the work done now so I can pre-start my vacation.

    Purchased Indie Pack X because reasons. I was going to spend 4.99 on Beat Hazard. I might as well spend another 4.99 and get four other games too.
     
    I've probably put about $80 towards this sale so far, and I always say "I'm not a computer gamer." Whelp, guess that changed. I'm going to break down the cost savings after all this is over.

    Except my ethernet port on my laptop is apparently broken, and there is no wifi where I was at... My 360 is up to date and i can play Skyrim saves again, but i don't have any of my steam titles still.

    Steam So Far

    I've purchased Portal 2, Bastion, and The Witcher (Don't know much about it but figured for $2.50 if I don't like it... not a huge loss).
     
    I need to buy Trine today.
     
    Amnesia, Sims 3, Legends of Grimrock, and Audiosurf are on my wishlist.
     
    Unfortunately I can't even download the games yet because of my internet connection, and that prevents me from playing any multiplayer games as well.

    It stinks not having a huge system collection because I lack a few blocks and plates to make a better Dalek. I based this off some pictures I saw, but had to completely rework the design due to lack of pieces.

    For my one online course we have a discussion board due every Wednesday by midnight. Every Wednesday in this course the professor has failed to post our question on Monday. Three days elapse and she posts the question and work Wednesday, when it is due Wednesday evening.
     
    I'm generally a nice person, but this is getting repetitive and ridiculous. Then the professor has the guile to say that we need to interact more with each other on the discussion board. You sort of can only do the bare minimum work when the assignment isn't available until the day it is due, you have to turn it in late, and then you only have a little free time left because you have lab assignment reports to write and quizzes to take.
     
    I'm sorry but professor, you're saying that doing the bare minimum isn't enough for us and the grade will be poor, but you are not even doing your job half the time. If you want us to interact more. You should interact with us on the forum and post assignments on time.
     
    I'm going to be brutally honest on the anonymous student survey after class is over.
