So, I'm officially starting my new color for a while. I still have to memorize the code, but I have it saved in various places, so I'll learn it fast.

In the meantime, however, Turakii gave me a great idea. And so, today is the start of a new and interesting blog thing.

This is the first installment of Ask ♥TAKi♥! Basically I'm starting an advice column that I'll update weekly. Anyone and everyone is invited to ask for help or for my thoughts on certain things in their lives or just in general. Of course, many people may not want other members to know who it is that's asking the questions. So here are the rules for submitting content and how Ask ♥TAKi♥ will work.

    1) PM me your questions. Title the message Ask TAKi, or something close to that.

    2) I'll take all questions and post a reply in a weekly blog entry. Then, that week's questions will be put into the Ask ♥TAKi♥ content block that will be created.

    3) All questions will be quoted as from Anonymous, unless you state you want your name mentioned. Or if you want a cool name, like Confuzzled Man. Lol. Let me know.

    4) Questions must be proper for BZPower. If they aren't, then I won't answer them. If they're way too obscene or explicit for BZP, I might have to report you, and I don't wanna have to do that.

    5) I do answer MOST questions. If I don't have the answers or help you're looking for, I'm sorry. But one of my best subjects is relationship help. My friends tell me that I should really be a romance counselor when I grow up.

Okay, you guys got it? The first questions will be posted on Saturday or Friday, not sure. Depends if I get a lot.

    Send 'em in!

Well, today wasn't the worst. Got a girlfriend, and then my sister called me up and told me that she'd buy me $40 worth of stuff at Target, so I went and bought a hoodie and the Daughtry cd.

So I was at youth group last night, and there's this table on the back. It has a wooden frame and glass in the middle. I've jumped on this thing, slammed this thing, picked it up and thrown it down; nothing's ever happened.

Anyway, so my friends wanted to have a staring contest, so I moved out of the way and just placed my hand on the middle of the table for support, and...

    IT SHATTERED!

Yeah, and I fell through. I got a bit of glass in me. But I'm okay now. Lol.

You can congratulate me on my accomplishment if you wish.

Got a friend coming over today and we're gonna use my two PCs to place Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour against each other. So if anyone out there has the game and would like to join in, PM me or leave a comment.

So I walk into church, expecting everyone to be upstairs and sitting down, but I open the door and everyone's down by the door. The room is dark, but the windows let enough light in. The power went out two seconds before we walked in. It was hilarious. And my friend and I usually record the message our pastor gives, but because there was no power, we just sat down. Then, as the message starts, the power goes back on! So my friend dashed to the computer and set it up. Tee hee. Silly power outages in the -30 degree weather.

Oh joy, the weekend: eternally catching up to what I missed on BZP during the school week. This week has zapped all my time. Plenty of tests and homework and quizes, plus in general I've just been physically and emotionally drained. But things are looking up. It seems that me and my ex-girlfriend are gonna be getting back together (she was the one who broke up with me because she though she might like my friend, but it turned out she wants to kill him ). So things are doing good. Our teacher/best friend invited the freshmen and some sophmores over to his house after school tomorrow, so my friend Peter is coming along (he switched to another school so I haven't seen him in ages) and then he'll be spending the night. So I'll try and catch up tomorrow and Saturday, I'll try. But we also have our friend in from Brazil so things are a ittle hectic. Ah, as I said, the joy of the weekend.

Alas, and yet so far. School ends in three weeks. My birthday is in two. And in one week, three finals and a research paper that I've had six weeks to do but never started. Now how smart am I?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
  8. Tak-E
Well, I've been thinking over it quite a bit, and I think it's time to change things up from my pink color scheme to maybe like a deep sky blue.

Any objections? I understand that there are some people who have come to know me solely by the pink posts. Lol.

So there's today and tomorrow, and then I'm back at school for a month. In that period I have one day off for mid-semester break. Then it's back on till Easter Break. But in other news, next week for my school is spirit week, and then a dance that Saturday (a Sock Hop). Looking forward to it. I've been going through a lot of relationship stuff lately, and right now I'm actually on kinda solid ground, so I'm not asking anyone to the dance (though I'll cringe when I see couples). I'm gonna go with my friends, so hopefully I'll have more fun that I anticipate.

It's supposed to be like 50 degrees outside this weekend. After the buildup of two feet of snow, I'd like to see this.

I recently acquired the new copy of Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's. So here's a review of the game for you Guitar Hero fans.

First off, the disk and the case. Pretty much everything's normal here, however, if you're used to the directions to playing the game being in the direction booklet, you're in for a surprise. The game comes with a three page booklet telling you safety warnings and stuff, and then it also comes with a poster for the game. On the flip side of the poster all the directions to play the game and anything that should've been in the direction booklet. Other than that, everything else is normal. Here are some pictures of that:

Okay, so now for gameplay. This game is one of the most addicting and fun games I've ever played. I own all three, and have the fourth one on reserve. I'm also patiently awaiting the release of the Rock Band game, which comes out for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 where you can buy drums, two guitars, and a microphone and rock out. But, anyway, back to the game. Well, if you're just looking for some awesome and fun new songs to play, get this game. However, if you're just buying it for the new venues, characters, game format, and bonus songs and videos, don't get it. Why? Simple: everything in this game is the same as Guitar Hero 2 except the songs. Sure, the venues and characrers have been changed to be given the "80's look," but otherwise it's just Guitar Hero 2. The only other weird thing is everything like the main screen and stuff is in neon blue and white. And the starting video for the game is the same as Guitar Hero 2's except with them in their new 80's style. But there are no bonus songs, no new venues, no new characters, and no videos. Actually, you can buy the Gim Ripper still, but I think he looks the same as always. Only me beating the game on Medium (which I had to use the Hyperspeed cheat on so that I didn't fall asleep playing it because it was so slow and I love playing on Expert) and getting enough money to buy him. Oh, also, there are no new guitars. The bonus guitars and the ones in the shop are the same ones from Guitar Hero 2. Nothing special. And no secondary outfits for the characters.

In short, this game didn't live up to my expectations, but it does have some kick butt songs to \m/ (rock on) Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80's!

It's just about time for me to hit the sack and register about six solid hours of sleep (still operating on winter break time ). So, I thought I'd give you a song.

So long, farewell, until we meet again!
I think, you'll like, the small killer pen!
It'll eat you in your sleep and then you'll wake up and you'll be terrified and scream, "♥TAKi♥!" And then you'll run over to my house and start beating me up with a bendy straw!

    Yeah, I'm confused too...

Woe is me, I'm sick finally.
It's like the temperature crazy has shaken the days.
Made me fight for the power to get up at this hour.
For the peace, the love, the hungry, the poor
I gotta stop this chemical war.

I made that up just now, like it? Lol. But yeah, I am sick. Woke up with a sore throat, and I begged my mom to let me stay home, since I wanna try and contain this before it gets worse. I wanna be able to go to youth group on Wednesday, and if I miss school on valentines day, I'll miss all the candy. Lol.

Hey, it's ♥TAKi♥ bringing you another installment of IMD! Today, our member joins us from...a place...somewhere...wait, what's that? *talks to man off screen* *something about a prison in Alaska* Okay then, we're back.

Anyway, our International Member of the Day today is Destroyer O' Dalek. A Stargate lover, this blogger loves the little furry chinchillas and in fact, once he rules the world, will let them become just like us. Also, he likes Neopets, and begs you with every last bit of dignity he has to join the Neopets website for him and give him points or whatever. Lol. This thirteen year-old is rocking BZP. Keep it on it's feet!

Oh look, I just happened to find this...lying around *clears throat*.

Alas, the week is coming to an end. All of the troubles of school are behind us. Tonight we'll gather 'round the tv and watch Smallville, The O.C., and Supernatural (the advantages of Dish ). Man, I've had a rough week. From homecoming decorating to the school newspaper to making paper in art class; I'm glad it's ending. This weekend I'll be going to the homecoming game and dance, working on a science fair project, and working on an Algebra 1 project. Not much relaxing in that scheduel (sp?), but on Saturday when I lock lips with my beautiful girlfriend (Bionigirl), I'll most likely forget all that. Well, most of you are probably begging for the Random Question of the Day, so here it is.

If you try to fail and succeed, which have you accomplished?
  15. Tak-E
No, I'm joking, but for those Relient K fans out there, you'll recognize this as one of the songs in their new album "Five Score and Seven Years Ago" (which has to do with the fact that they have made five albums in the past seven years[Thanks to Toa Lhikan Hordika for that little nugget of info. ]). So I've just come online to RUB IT IN YOUR FACES!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! *brushes himself off* Okay, I'm good. *twitches* At least I hope so...

Let me know if I post the same RQotD twice, guys. But for now, I'm starting a new thing: Random Lyric of the Day (RLotD). Basically I'll post one of the lines from one of my favorite songs. Let me know if you can get it right. Lol.

Quiet, Quiet. Don't let it all come undone. Cause if I dare open my mouth it'll just be to bite my tongue (bite my tongue).

As of this exact moment, in this exact day, in this exact week, in this exact month, in this exact year, in this exact decade, in this exact century, in this exact millenia, in this exact universe, in this exact...well, you get the point. So, as of right now, Turakii #1 Lavasufer, Toa Lhikan Hordika, and I are working on a top secret project (Project X). If you would like to help, please post a comment or drop a PM. But there are some requiements, just to let you know. Not everyone will get in.

Sorry, but there will be no International Member Day today. Tomorrow the events will resume. Last night I was kicked off of my PC before I had a chance to finish the banner and upload it, so I have to finish it later tonight. Today I've been busy running around, getting all of my school supplies and getting ready for freshman orientation (which is in an hour and forty-five minutes. So in the meantime, just post random comments or comment on this blog post. Thanks.

    We'll start off with this.

Interesting, eh? I thought so, too. Nonetheless, it's pretty cool I received a thank you for doing that.

On another topic completely, I have re-opened my banner and avatar shop, Drake's Banners and Avatars. I'm hoping it'll wake up soon. I'm tending to have more and more free time on the computer. So much time, in fact, that I'm making edits from Bionicle movies (link on right). I've got some pretty good ones done right now.

And, alas, the week is over. A most interesting week. The Blog of the Week is coming up, and I can't wait for it. I wonder if I'll ever get in? Maybe; but for now I'm happy just as a small blog.

And I'll leave you all with the Random Question of the Day.

Why are red buttons always the most important?
  19. Tak-E
I'm back. I don't believe I actually finished all my homework tonight. I'm so happy. High school is too homework associated. I'm so tired, but I'm glad to be back.

I'm so desperate to get blog comments that I'm posting my research paper in here!

No. It's about Lego so I'd thought I'd let you guys take a crack at reading it. I have to get some book sources, too. And it's not complete really, but it's pretty much done.

The building blocks of life are things which interlock and intermingle. And much like the building blocks of life, there are other building blocks in the world. Some are cement, some are solid stone, and some are plastic. Yes, the plastic building blocks do sound very interesting; those are what will be focused on in this paper. Lego blocks have been a part of children’s lives for a very long time, but very few know the real history behind it. Lego bricks could be considered an integrated part of childhood, but they weren’t always like that. In 1932 a carpenter in Billund, Denmark, named Ole Kirk Christiansen began carving wooden toys. Two years later, in 1934, they began marketing the toys as Lego toys. Then, in the years 1947 and 1949, The Lego Company took a big leap and started creating plastic toys. Soon enough, the interlocking bricks that are loved by children everywhere came into existence. (Wikipedia)
Lego bricks have had their share of good experiences and bad ones. But no matter what, their playability and interesting functions is what makes them so loveable. Lego has had many very popular themes over the years. Two of the most popular themes, however, are Lego Star Wars and Bionicle. Both have a very interesting story to tell.
In 1997, The Lego Company was having a very difficult time. They couldn’t find very interesting sets to sell and they were losing their grip on the attention of young children. Kids were begging for interesting things that they could put together and build as part of an ellaborate storyline and still make their own universe out of it. And so, the birth of Lego Star Wars came out strong. In 1999 these sets alone nearly took the company out of the red zone. However, since the Star Wars theme was owned by a company called Lucasfilm, many royalties had to be paid to this company. (BZPOWER)
Around the same time, the Lego toyline called Throwbots made a surprise hit and was fairly popular amoung children. These sets were semi-focused on six main elements (fire, ice, air, water, earth, and stone) which were later incorporated into the Bionicle toys. They also featured many of the same pieces which are still current in the Bionicle toy line. These pieces include the following: axles, joints, small swords, and disks. After this, Lego RoboRaiders were introduced. These sets were much like the Throwbots, but were a failure in most ways. It was a step toward Bionicle, however, as they limited the number of main sets from twelve to six and incorporated some things into the world of the internet. (BZPOWER)
Then, in 1999, The Lego Company got an idea. What if they could create a toy line that they made on their own; without any help from an outside company such as Lucasfilm. And so, Bionicle was created. It was a first for the company, seeing as that they had never really made a full-on story all on their own for their sets. They did surprisingly well, however, and Bionicle was a success. In it were six heroes fighting for control of an island from an evil force. Adventure, fighting, magical masks, and mystery: everything a boy could hope for. The toys were first released in Europe and were accepted with great enthusiasm. Six months later, Bionicle was introduced in the United States and became one of the major points for The Lego Company even today. (BZPOWER)
Bionicle has had a strong following for many years. Because of it, many children have formed online sites about it. One of the storyline planners and the book writer for the story is a member on two of the larger sites. One of these sites has gained over 34,000 members since they opened in 2001. Book author Greg Farshtey says that this is only a small fraction of the following that Bionicle has created. This shows how popular the toys are across the world. The storyline of Bionicle has been planned on through 2009. Whether it will continue past that point has not been revealed to the public yet.
In 2000, The Lego Company attempted their hand at an original story once again. They tried out using a theme called Knights’ Kingdom, featuring a castle set and some other smaller sets. Small minifigure knights and kings (along with a wizard, princess, and queen) were included in the sets. However, after 2000 the Knights’ Kingdom sets just weren’t that interesting to kids anymore. (WIKIPEDIA)
In 2004, Knights’ Kingdom II was created. Instead of using small minifigures as the main characters, however, they created giant action figure-sized sets. In the background, the settings and smaller conflicts in the story were turned into minifigure sets (which were not received as well as the larger sets). This story continued on through 2006 and was very popular among younger children. However, a new type of knight storyline was planned, and so they were discontinued at the end of 2006. (WIKIPEDIA)
In 2001 The Lego Company once again came up with their own storyline; this storyline was original and interesting. It included a secret organization called Alpha Team who fought against the main villian (Ogel) to save the world. The word Ogel is Lego spelled backwards. In a Lego Magazine, it was said that this was done intentionally because the villian Ogel stands for everything Lego doesn’t, and is thus the reverse of Lego. The story for Lego Alpha Team was highly anticipated from year to year. It was released in three different types of sets which are the following: the original Alpha Team (2001), Alpha Team Mission Deep Sea (2002), and Alpha Team Mission Deep Freeze (2004). After 2004 these sets were no longer produced and the story was left on a cliff hanger, leaving the possibility for a continuation of the line at one point. (WIKIPEDIA)
And so, now it is clearly visible the struggle and interesting things that The Lego Company has done to survive for nearly seven decades. And as the life and times of the world change, Lego toys will change too. But they will always be the loveable, addicting toys that so many people grew up with, and will continue to love always.

Today I officially started using a new signoff term. For those of you who know me well, I've used the ^TZT^ at the end of my posts; not today! Today I used a new phrase: -Taki. It was coined by Turakii the other day and I really liked it.

In other news, I need your input. I'm thinking of slightly changing my name. I want it to be very close to my personal name, however. Please post your ideas and suggestions in the comments box.

This is my first little post in a while here. But I still think of it as my little home away from home. Anyway, a lot has been happening. First off, Happy New Year, BZP! It's now 2007. And to celebrate I got myself a few new sets with that Christmas money. I now have squid ammo, Mantax, Pridak, and Carapar. I took advantage of Lego Shop@Home for the first two, Then I got Pridak and Carapar at Target because they were sold out of Vezon and Kardas. In other news, life is cruel. Yeah, my girlfriend broke up with me to go out with my best friend. And then she broke up with him because he was treating her horribly. And now she wants to go out with me again but I want to try going out with someone else. Let's just call that a day in the life of me. P.S. There be a secret message at the bottom of this post...

And I know you've all been dying for a new Random Question of the Day...

If the FBI breaks your door down do they have to pay for it?

Wanna hear something scary, strange, and just plain...creepy?

I wrote a 1000 word research paper in two hours.

    The topic:

The History of The Lego Company and the most popular sets it made.

BZP is mentioned, along with BS01 and some other things.
