So, I wasn't entirely truthful. The Akaku Nuva didn't get made, but I did make HD versions of the Hau and the Miru! You can see the comparison in the middle right!

Next up, I'll make HD versions of the rest of the masks, and make some more Nuva masks!

Yeah, at that scale, it was impossible to put the hole I'm the center. Notice the bottom of the saucer section? It's one piece. So that's why I said it was kinda the Vengeance This was all built from memory, which is why the pylons are wrong, too, but I like these ones more. I'm still absolutely loving the deflector array, I can't believe I got it to work. And check out Amazon!

Iron Man 3. Jeez, I don't think I could ever watch it again. It was the worst comic book movie since X3: The Last Stand.

 

Here are the problems:

 

- There was no Mandarin. It was that loser Killian the whole time. There is no comic book fan who has any sort of admiration or respect for Killian. But Mandarin is a freaking awesome character, and he would have become ever MORE awesome with Ben Kingsley's amazing performance. But the Mandarin turned out to be a weirdo named Trevor. And the world wept.

 

- Tony blew up all his suits. Why? Is his brain broken?

 

- Tony got the stuff from his heart removed. Which was reported as impossible by the other two movies. That means this movie effectively killed Iron Man.

 

- Why does Tony have panic attacks? It's never explained.

 

- Where's S.H.I.E.L.D. this whole time?

 

- Pepper now has super powers. Now that's just ridiculous. She should join the Avengers.

-I totally agree, that completely ruined the movie for me. But remember, China helped fund this movie. Therefore, a Yellow Peril Mandarin (as in, the awesome, very Chinese Mandarin) would have severely upset their funders, and therefore, they had to be creative. And that's why it sucks.

-Supposedly so he can focus on Pepper...except every single person in this world and arguably all the other worlds know that Tony Stark is Iron Man. Regardless of the presence or lack thereof of his suits, they will try their darndest to kill him. So yes, his brain is totally busted, thanks to a certain redhead.

-Yes, this is a blatant disregard for what the other movies said. However, it is the more realistic option. There's very little medicine can't do, but the universe already established that they were irremovable. What I want to know is what they did with the gaping hole in his chest. His sternum would be in two pieces, so he'd need pretty much a new ribcage, as well as several square inches of skin. But it didn't kill Iron Man. The suits are almost entirely self-powered. The early ones may have connected to his chest reactor, but all later ones are self-sustaining. That's how they operate on their own, or on someone without a reactor.

-It's PTSD from nearly dying in New York, that's what the flashbacks make clear. He's haunted by the events of the Avengers, and he keeps having flashbacks. He feels insecure without his armor, which is an interesting throwback to one storyline I remember, where Rhodey falls in the water in a powerless War Machine, and he almost drowns. From then on, he feels completely insecure while he's IN the armor.

-That's an excellent question, I can't remember them being in the movie at all. Maybe Captain America 2 will answer that for us. But it could be that terrorism isn't SHIELD's field, just like the FDA doesn't deal with cars or buildings.

-It's clearly a throwback to Rescue, but making Tony the damsel in distress that Pepper saves was a really poor move.

In the end, Iron Man 3 neutered every single awesome character, from the Mandarin to Tony, Rhodey to Pepper...I'll rewatch it on DVD, but I doubt I'll like it any more.

...Incidentally, Iron Man 3 is a pretty flawed movie.

New update! Today, I present you a new Miru Nuva! As well as a Nuva chestplate, and a more feminine alternate body! I also made some edits to the other masks, not sure which ones I made in the last one, though.

Next, I'll add more detail to the masks and probably the Akaku Nuva! Keep an eye out for the next update!

Just ordered The Wrong Side of Heaven & The Righteous Side of (you know the place), Vol. 1 by Five Finger Death Punch. Thanks to the magic of Amazon's AutoRip, I've managed to listen to the album, and I love it. Very American Capitalist sound to it.

Alrighty guys, just added the Pakari Nuva to the sheet! The Pakari Nuva setup there represents how all the masks will be presented in the next update. Each line consists of the same 11 mouths, each line using a different eye configuration, for a total of 44 possible expressions. Eventually I'll provide the equipment to make your own looks, so expect that in a future update.

Alrighty guys, I've just finished the Kaukau Nuva!

I also shaded the Miru, and added holes to the Pakari and Kakama! But here's the biggest update: Chibi Kute Kit Jumbo!

I realized that the masks were too small to show the expressions, especially the Kaukau and Pakari, so I scaled everything up by two. Hopefully that makes them easier to work with! From this point on, any updates will be to the Jumbo kit, but I will have the smaller ones on my computer, so if you would still like them, go ahead and ask!

Because they're too cheap to give anything else.

How did the Toa carry so many Krana?

Currently none, but once the Toa Mata arrive on Friday, I'm probably gonna put Tahu on my desk, and display the rest on my dresser.

I actually lost every single squid and leech I've ever bought xP I have exactly no idea where they went.

Probably a stalemate between the Pakari Nuva and Kakama Nuva. Onua Nuva and Pohatu Nuva were my first sets, so they definitely hold some sentimental value to me.

My first two sets were Onua Nuva and Pohatu Nuva. One day, I was at my friend's house, and they had several Bionicle sets. I built my first MOC (A Toa of lightning and energy, I believe. Keep in mind, this is 2003-ish), and I loved it. I made it clear to my parents, and for Christmas, I believe, I got those two fateful canisters. Now, several thousand dollars later, I managed to collect a ton of sets, but I passed them down to my siblings. Now I'm starting over, beginning with the Toa Mata I just won on eBay! Wish me luck!
