EW knows he has a blog and needs to update it accordingly.

    ...

    Oh! You were expecting more?

I have been playing Battlefront II for the past two days. Really enjoying it. I've been toying with the instant action games and the conquest thing, as I am stuck at the Knightfall mission in story mode. Darn Temple Guards and their unlimited respawns. Stupid four bookcases. Bloody Jedi and their lightsabers.

CTF is fairly fun, if not a little short. I love the times when the Imps will say "The Empire has voluntarily dropped the Rebel flag." The egoistical maniacs.

Just now I completed a classification essay about castles. Yeah, castles, not Respectism. Fun stuff, those essays, and I have to admit that I am fairly good at them, if not the delays that come with them.

I know you are itching for a smiley, right?

Update - 29/4 - The fund is officially opened. If you want to send me money (cash or check or credit card) let me know so I can give you my mailing address. This is the tricky part.

    I don't know if I'll be going.

What it has come down to is that I simply do not have the money. Usually, $400 for airline tickets isn't too much for us, but in this case, it is, what with all our current expenses and all. We're living beyond our means as is and that extra $400 can be a serious predicament for us and leave a mark on our strained budget. The t-shirts will be there, the mastermind may not.

I know it's silly, but I'm serious about this: is there anyone who wants to see me there so bad as to help fund my trip? Like seriously, if anyone could help out with this, that's be awesome. And I might even throw in some sort of gift if I can, too, like a t-shirt or something. I'll be working to get some money, myself, so I'm not asking you guys to hand over four Franklins; I will be raising my own finds, too.

Anyone feel that they might be able to help? If so, PM me to keep such things confidential. But if you do help, I will love you forever and be in your debt.

Some people have volunteered to help out. Thanks, people! Still am a long way from my goal, though, so I'd still absolutely looove (and still neeeed) more help! =D

Now you submit your entries for the BZPower Member's T-Shirt. In this entry, you can submit designs, patterns, or ideas you feel can/should be implemented. You should also have a short paragraph explaining why your design is the bomb and what is in it. Here, like this.

Or you could just try your best! : D

    -VOTING-

    Time's up!

What does this mean? What happens now? Well, easy: voting.

    "How does this work?"

You review the list of entries listed below, pick your favourites, and then list the top three, in your opinion, in order that you like them. Once the voting ends at midnight on the 18th, PST, the top three voted entries will be carefully milled over by my staff and I and we will decide on which one to print, based on cost and ease of printing. We will try to adhere to the ranking of the voting, though, so if the #1 winner is easy to make, we'll do it.

The winner gets to have a free shirt, and he or she can either pick it up at a convention or get it mailed before a convention and before everybody else, for that matter.

Here are your options. When picking, just list the number of the entry you're voting for.

    1. just cherixon (First entry, image one)

    2. just cherixon (Second entry, image one) (Second entry, image two)

    3. Moist! (Entry image) Note: I am aware this has two colours in it, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for now since he is last year's winner. We'll figure out what to do about it once/if he wins.

    4. tent163phantoka:spaz sheep (Entry image)

    5. Swert (Entry, image one) (Entry, image two)

    6. Vezok's Friend (Entry image) (Variant image)

    7. Brave Dragon (Entry image)

    8. Celu (First entry image)

    9. Celu (Second entry image)

    10. ~Legion~ (Entry image)

    11. HAZMAT (Entry image)

And there you have it! Vote now, wear later. ;D

I guess my last entry was depressing. <sigh> But, good news! Yesterday and today I feel alot better, due in no part to an e-mail I sent last night that made me feel more fulfilled.

The sun has been shining here, litelarly and metaphoricaly. Sure, still is as boring as hick (it is Oregon, after all ) and the tests are still here on my desk, but I still feel soo much better.

Bloggy news: essay on the way, by, like, tomorrow. The theme is different, about what I call the "State of Honesty." However, it has meaning to me, and thus it will be posted.

Year two-thousand and eight (edit: whoops!) proved a wild and yet wonderful year to me.

It all started with the Times Square ball dropping nearly a year ago, signaling the start of the year. January was rather boring, to be truthful, though my first time staffing a Boy Scout activity was nice, as I enjoyed warm enchiladas in the snow while others huddled around Cup o' Noodles. What a wonderful Klondike.

February was a droll, though there was a happy moment when Dad found that his bladder cancer was gone. That also marked the very start of my Eagle Project work, meeting with the Myrtle Creek parks commission and brainstorming with them for project ideas.

Most of Spring was nice, sporadic Boy Scout meetings dotting the calendar and a hike to my beloved Cascade Mountains highlighting a weekend. In April, the BSA district had it's annual merit badge fair, where I got two more partials. Yay me.

The doubtlessly largest family trauma affair for '08 was when my dad crashed his darling car into a tree and almost died. I could have requested that his life be let go, but I stubbornly held on and requested that he have life support. After almost a month in Portland's Oregon Health Science University, he was finally let out, with a new nose job and a pocket full of painkillers. This event also advanced his Parkinson's by a virtual year, making him more progressed than we thought possible.

June. I was interviewed for a job at Camp Baker, and the event I presumed would be a big trial for me turned out to cure my phobias of closed-door interviews. My future bosses became close allies in those few moments, and I was hired a couple weeks later. June went by too slowly for me, and I was nervously ecstatic for the late June, when I would be taken to my work. Late June finally came, and I happily (and cautiously) tested myself out at the coastal camp. That July was probably the best month I'd had in years, poking my head out and showing myself exactly what I could do, becoming a trusted missionary for the camp bosses, and having my first taste of real authority and responsibility, where I was put in charge of my own little part in camp and teaching hundreds of fellow Scouts things that I hope they will remember in future years (good things, that is, lol).

I also had my birthday in July, though I was not here to share it with all my fellow BZP'rs.

August through October were fine. I lie. They were not fine. More and more stress on me came after Dad would spend days on the floor in one single position, making messes of both litter and waste, and proving that he either needed real help or face death, or he was a really good pretender. After several return trips to Camp Baker for duties that came and went, duties that helped ease my mind from the heck that was going on at home, I started to realize that I was becoming more and more the man of the house. I had to keep the property running, and started doing my duties with more resolve.

Who could forget the elections in... November? No near, and yet it seems so far. A strange feeling. The great victory of Obummuh vs Mycan will surely be remembered for many years to come.

The year ended with it's scandals, though. The economy crashing actually did something to my family I never though possible: it touched us. Mom became more prudent with spending and we suddenly realized that Dad's seemingly meticulous planning had many, many faults. Thankfully, we never invested in Madoff's company, so we're fine there.

On the note of dad's planning, we found it was not as good as we thought. Turned out he never planned for the future. He lived by the moment, hoping everything would be fine. He was a great business man, managing millions of dollars as prudently as Bigfoot manages public appearances, and he could counsel any man on how to spend stuff, and he placed the property as a non-profit group, freeing it from seizure by the government, but his will was never notarized, we have no money to speak of in the bank, no 401K or pension at all, and he even lost the social security checks. We Schillers were also fighting healthcare for what was best for my dad, having him in a nursing home and trying to settle things with senior services. They wanted him in a nursing/foster home, but also demanded a lien on the house, which we adamantly declined. Finally, we were forced to give in, and he is now in a nearby place and we're gunna lose the house someday, when either we sell it or mom dies. Only God knows what's in store for us there.

Time will tell us what we did right and wrong, and will uncover all. Time will also show what the baby year will do to us, how hard it will throw us, how it will cradle us, and what grievances we will mourn, what moments of joy we will live.

On behalf of the Schiller family, I wish you all a not happy, but fulfilling and joyful year. Even the hardships are for a reason, and if you do what is right, you will receive joy, even if the world is upside down. I lova ya all and would never have been so optimistic if it were not for you.

    2012 EDITION

Phew, finally kicking this project into gear!

First things first: "What are you guys doing?"

You look in those pics of BrickFair or BrickFest and see those staffers in them snazzy BZPower staff shirts? Then you see the members wearing their rainbow of a wardrobe, looking all... yanno... normal? (Seriously, guys-- you're Lego fans from BZPower. You're not allowed to look normal.) And then you want to, if you ever go to one of these conventions, have some sort of uniformity to make y'all look all sharp and awesome? The aptly-named BZPower T-shirt Project is intended to address this and more!

Imagine walking down the halls of the Tyson's Corner hotels in your lovely BZPower member's t-shirt, getting admiring oohs and ahhs from passerby as they dig your sexy and snazzy member's shirt, catching whiff of your lovely perfume or cologne (perfume and cologne sold separately). You can walk with pride and without a care in the world in your custom-made BZPower member's t-shirt.

"Sounds epic. What do the shirts look like?"

See, that's the thing. We don't know. We don't even have a design or even know what colour the shirts will be. Why? Because you guys get to design the shirts. Yes, not only will you get to wear the shirts, you will also take pride in a sense of artistic ownership of the designs on the garment.

Imagine you walking down the hallway of the hotel again. "Oh, nice shirts!" a cute girl says in that carefree Southern accent. "Where'd ya get them?"
"I [helped]* make them," you respond.
"Oh, rad!" she says. She may even ask for your number.

    * added because we trust you will have some degree of decency and humility and not take all the credit.

    "So, how does this work?"

We'll have a few days of spreading the word around, and I encourage you to link to this entry from your signature and blog, if you have one. After this PR period, I will start a contest here in this blog, also posting rules and stuff when we decide on them.

Once the contest finishes, we will look at the entries and decide on the one we will use on the T-shirt. Then, voila! They will magically appear and be available at BrickFair this August.

    "Just BrickFair?"

No! They'll also be available at BrickCon this fall, and depending if we have enough interest and a way of getting it done, they'll also be at other conventions in the US. Additionally, any carryovers will be made available at BrickFair AL next year.

"I'm staff. Can I have one too, pweese?"

Absolutely! You're all members, too. =D

"I don't have any plans to go to any of those conventions. How can I still get a shirt?"

Depending on your location and your desire to get a shirt, we may (or may not! haha!) be able to ship a shirt to you. =3

Comments, questions, concerns, and such go here.

PS: Yes, I know I just blatantly copied and pasted this entry from 2010. Don't judge me.

I has two-thousand posts now. *nods*

About 1,999 of it is spam, too.

*forgets all about it and just keeps posting*

On the other hand, it's almost 3:30 AM and I feel a little sleepy. *yawn* Screw the 3K for now, then.

Yeah, been a little since I updated my bloggy-loggy... Meh. Life known not the rules of Respectism.

Essays- I guess I should explain why my essays are not here yet. The conservationalism essay, Dams: The Solid Block, is in fact finished, but the thing is that it is already in paper and there is no file in either computer to transfer and/or use. So, that would mean that I need to copy it, but my momk is the only one who can do it effectively (she was once the fastest typist in all of Mexico, belive it or not). As for the upcoming Respectism essay, yes, it is indeed finilly getting done. I got to work on her again just yesterday and hope to have it complete by friday, if all goes well. *sigh* Bones-- just how do you do it? I am just a mortal with a numb brain, I guess.

But no, I have not stopped working on it. Also, I must make a PowerPoint presentation about Respectism and its de facto superiority to many other societal doctrines. Am I claiming too much? No. Find out more in the next essay.

Life- My dad is going to get an evaluation by a senior care specialist to find a suitable place for him to be sent to, at least for a while. It has become to bloody tormenting to me that even my code of ethics is only narrowly saving me from making a fatal swipe with my cane to the temple that could easily knock Dad unconcious for hours. Sometimes I just feel like hitting him or worse. I am a teenager, for crying out loud! And yet I must leve 24/7 with a demented father who is hoplessly crazy and authoritarian to the point of tyrrany. So, I am glad he will be sent away for a while. The master bedroom reeks, the sofa stained, the house in need of repair and our budget being cut very much because of the doctor visits he must have. At least we will get a break and a chance to clean this mess up.

But for real-- I keep the lone working gun, a small .25 snub barrel pistol, secretly stashed in my office drawer, in case things get too bad. *sigh* Even with my optimism, I have to wonder why sometimes.

My school is dropping with the family problems, too. I will be able to catch up on it when Dad is sent away, hopefully. But still, French class is killing me. Spanish class is as boring as BZP on a midnight and English has book reports coming up, like a fully-fledged pre-collegian report on the entire book of Silas Marner. *sigh*

Scouting- I am slowly receding from the Boy Scouts, and despite the fact that I will no longer be at events like the Vets Day Parade of the Scouting for Food Drive, the service projects of the OA, I will still be in my troop as a leader and as a high-adventure nutcase. :-D Really, I will sleep in a tent in 0 degrees, hike 50 miles of the Umpqua Trail, and canoe down the Rouge River but I will not go to the community service events. After all, I went to Scouting for the adventure, anyways.

    Other- Chhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppuuuuuuuuuuufffffffssssssssssssssss!

    WINNER(S)

Moist!'s design has been chosen (again) as the entry which will be on the shirts! Costs will be determined at a later date, and a small modification to the text will be done. Congraaatulations! The depicted design will be printed en-masse on the BZPower member's t-shirts at Lego conventions for the 2011 season.

    BUT WAIT.

Brave Dragon's design is the nominal winner with the most votes, and that deserves more than a digital pat on the back. We were unable to use it for mass printing due to size issues, however this shirt will be featured as a special order shirt only. When announced, you can order your copy of this shirt, however it will not be produced for sale at conventions.

So give a large round of keyboard-clapping for our two winners of 2011! =D

I'm surprised a blog entry about nothing got more comments than most of my entries about something. o.O

Anyways, I use Gmail, and I have those little popups that come up when I get new messages. And well, this thing is so awesome. It's like... it knows when to tell me I have a new message. I never get those popups when I'm AFK, but as soon as I sit down, it'll tell me I got mail. It's amazing and smart.

Also this blogger now accepting submissions for new blog title.

And finally, I only just listened to Own City's Fireflies. I swear, this is the first song I like in a long time that is not some lovesick melody. *closes eyes and sways to song*

So, we ordered my sleeper sofa a week or so ago, and I've been sleeping better than ever now. Seriously, it's so comfy with the doubled-over formfitting foam mattress on the spring matress, enveloped in silky sheets and capped with a flannel goosedown comforter. And now I have my own little place to read! An actual place for me to sit in my room! Nothing will replace the decades-old LaZBoy at the wide window as my fav reading spot, though. <3

Also, I installed wood floors in the hallways and my room, so it looks all neat and stuff now.

Mom also bought one of those vibrating platforms for muscle toning. It's fairly... amusing. Makes my legs feel like jello after a while, though.

Dad's doing okay. He's in a foster home in Sutherlin, like 30-ish miles from our little chalet. Still, he has good care there, and it's a lot better than the last place he was at (looooooong and complicated story on that, and it's still going on right now. Dun wanna talk about it here, though). However, what he's been getting was class II foster homes, and he needs class III care facility 24/7 care, like, a mental facility, and we're working on that right now.

We may sue his old caretaker and even the hospital and his doctor for making a bundle of problems and mistakes, too, which makes me excited.

In my BSA news, I applied for being the 3rd assistant scoutmaster in one of the council's National Jamboree troops. It's a rarely-applied for position, as it targets people 18-21, and those guys are usually busy doing college stuff, so I, with my good BSA credentials and history, should have a good chance at being selected.

I'm also prolly gunna be the crew leader for my Philmont crew this year, which is awesome. Many say it's a hard task, but organizing things for others has always been one of my gifts. Plus, I can truthfully say I'm the most experienced outdoors guy in the crew (except for the main adviser, lol), and am also great at camp cooking, so I know how to do a lot of things that we would end up doing at Philmont.

So, um, that's what's up right now. Just a bunch of stuff that will launch me and the rest of my family in full swing in the summer and make it one summer to remember for me.

Kahu did not actually do anything as of late, but it took two people to replace him? o.O Imagine how sedentary these nubs will be!

Actually, since when have the bloggies ever done anything to begin with? I mean, take Val for an example. He seems to just sit there and looks pretty. Kame's a bouncer cuz he just stands there. DV apparently does something, but I have yet to figure out just what. Shine is awesome. Kohaku responded to a report and keeps tabs on Necro's blog, so I know he is active. But MigMak just cackles and guffaws and terrorizes people with the occasional gesture.

So really, we could fire everyone but Shine and Kohaku and the blogs would still roll.
