So, yesterday was a really, really good day for me.

We got up semi-early so mom could renew her driver's license, and her new mugshot looks terrible (she said she almost looks like a witch in the pic; now that's a confession). We picked Dad up and drove to Eugene, but before he went to his doctor's appointment, we went to my Boy Scout council service center and bought a few things in the store, namely a new uniform shirt for me (now I won't have commissioners yelling at m for my "improper uniform wear").

Then we took him to his neurologist and waited for, like, an hour. I counted the lines on the carpet, too, and found that out of 22 squares in a row, each 1.5ft. wide, there are 1,346 yellow lines. I didn't bother with the brown lines, sorry, but I suspect it would be something along those lines, too (pun not intended).

Then we went to Costco. What a lovely place that is. I really wasn't expecting that much when we arrived, but I got two new pairs of jeans and a Casio Pathfinder watch (with a compass, barometer and altimeter built in). Lunch was a Costco hotdog and a Sprite. Yummy.

After that, we went car shopping, much to my dad's chagrin. We had seen a certain car on the Internet, and decided that that was our best bet. (We were going to go to Portland and get a BMW sedan, but that plan floundered because of my dad's appointment.) We went from dealer to dealer, getting directions to where the car was supposedly at, and even managed to get lost along the way, but we finally found it before it got dark. Ten minutes later, it was sold to us. We'll pick it up on Saturday. Oh, what is it? Uhh, it's a 1998 Mercedez-Benz ML320 all-wheel drive mini SUV. Price? $6k. Yup!

But the good news just doesn't stop coming. After that, I had to go back to the service center for a meeting. Those of your Scouts will understand what this is about. I was finally interviewed for the position I applied in my Council's National Jamboree troop, 3rd assistant Scoutmaster. And, well... There's good news and there's bad news. The good news is: I'm going to DC. =DDD The bad news is: I'm expected to be at committee meetings in Eugene every month, and another monthly meeting for the troop as a whole starting January. =CCC But I'm going to the Jamboree, so whatevaaaaaaa~

(And of course, BrickFair by extension, most likely. )

In any case, I'm am just so stoked. In the words of the Pointer Sisters:

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it
I'm so excited and I just can't hide it
    And I know I know I know I know I know I want you~

In the summer, I can't imagine having to wear layers of sweaters and jackets and still being cold.

In the winter, I can't imagine being comfortable in just a tee-shirt and a pair of shorts.

And in the spring and fall, I'm just confuuuused.

I'm making a Heroes epic, based off of a currently vanished Heroes RPG I played in. The story basically revolves around my character and his fight to right things and clear his name, as well as save the other evolved humans.

I'm looking for people who would be interested in having a character to feature in the pocket Heroes universe I'm creating. Since this is based off of an RPG, I'll ask you to use an RPG-formatted character profile. Really easy:

    Name: (This speaks for itself)
Power: (Also very self explanatory. You may only have one power, though that does not mean it can not do more than one thing. Imagine the Human Torch, if you will. His power is to cover himself in flame, but this causes flight, semi-invincibility, etc.)
Characteristics: (Character's age, physical appearance, traits, location, previous history, etc. Anything you can think of. The better the bio, the better I can use your character.)

Also, there is a limit to how many evolved I can fit in the story, but that does not mean you can't be a part of the legend! By all means, make up a regular human character, and I'll try and fit ya in somewhere. For that, just skip the powers bit.

Also note that not everyone will be represented equally. Some people will have minor roles, others will fight right by my character. See, regardless of how good your character is or how much you want him to kick some butt, unlike an RPG, the entire story is about my character, Herman Bauer, and everyone wlse will have backseat roles.

So yeah. If ya wanna be in on this, just make a character and wait for it.

The more time I spend on BZP, the more I realize I really have no purpose here. I've been a jack-of-all-trades, dabbling in writing, role playing, theorizing and general discussion, but I never really have been able to make any of my actions a permanent part of my BZP life. Sure, I have a fair amount of fame, and there are many who could recognize my name from seeing me around, but I don't think I have any actual part in the BZP society.

Some people like Lady Kopaka and Nikira have artwork to show. The late GaliGee and noble Takuta-Nui are known for their literature. S&T nut(cases?) make and critique theories, RPG forum hermits do nothing but play Bionicle RPGs, COT dwellers talk nonsense in COT and play RPGs there, and such. There are so many stereotypes around, cliches that people fit into. And here I am, someone who's been here for over three years (coming up on four) and has a pretty good name for myself... just no reputation.

I really need to be able to find my place on BZP. It's any wonder why I feel so bored when I run out of topics in GD to post in. So... help me out here? Make me feel a bit more encouraged than this?

    ... is amazingly awesome, IMO.

I mean, what is more awesome than someone who swaps bodies, then walks right into the Makutaverse as the new sheriff in town?

    LOVE.

The creek is not running anymore. Thankfully, I filled in our water tanks before, so we have about 5000 gallons of water for now. I hope.

We really need to update our archaic water system.

I'll be getting a car this weekend. Or is planning to.

It be a yellow and black 2003 Land Rover Freelander sport utility mini-SUV. It's got everything I need for when I am doing outdoor treks, and all we need for towing or transporting. So yay!
