I am diligently working on a one color moc assembled with blue pinaxles and red axles. Keeping other connectors to a minimum, and not using any grey or tan connectors. It will have a wonderful patch of red on it, that will wow the audience hopefully......

And it will have an awesome technique that I pioneered, and have never seen done anywhere.....

I can't wait to see her in her full completed form!

    Wish me luck!

Hoooeeeeee, I finally ventured into the Blog section. I was a bit lost at first, but quickly found my way around. I plan to talk about daily life up here in alaska. Its been snowing a WHOLE lot lately, and the snow is to my shoulders (I'm 5'8"). It hasn't snowed like this since I was young, and it feels good.

Amidst all the shoveling I do to keep my Quonset huts free of snow and my paths clear, cleaning apartments across the street, or driving to and from Anchorage every other week or two to work on violins and assemble yard equipment, I do manage to find time to build. Its sometimes hard to concentrate on moc's at times, because I'm still getting moved into my house somewhat. The Bionicle area is a mess as many many MANY things need to be parted out and sorted. I have lots of ideas for new creations to build, but no progress can be made at a messy table with pin bins that are getting low on resources.

I am planning on attending brickfest PDX 07 this year, as it is very close to where my family is. Hopefully I can save enough to go. I'm bringing the Bioniwreath with me. I haven't done anything to it since the contest, as I have plenty of ball joints for my matoran and other creations. I also plan on bringing my cast of characters for Trials of Terror. I want to get some exposure and create at least a whisper about the movie as it starts to rise from the shadows. I hope it'll be a big hit when its completed. It'll be a kindof dark story, but it will show that great bravery conquers all if the dedication is there. I plan to add plenty of humor in there, and I intend to get chuckles out of even the most stubborn. It will focus on Unity, Duty and Destiny like the classic bionicle saga was more geared toward. Should turn out interesting, and I am more than willing to take on a few dedicated helpers.

I'm heading back to Seward in who knows when, hopefully tomorrow. Its been snowing so much I'm scared to take the highway in my big truck. Crossing my fingers for no snow! Most my filming will be done in Seward for some super awesome nature booyahness, as well as filming in Landers CA for some Po-Kava scenes. Should be good.

Anyway, I am signing off for now, I'll make another entry once I get home, or if I find out I have to stay longer because of an avalanche or something. See y'all next Entry!

    Hey everyone!

I know that many of you have been wondering why I haven't been online much over the past many months. Circumstances made it impossible for me to be online regularly in the past because I didn't have internet in my home. I had to travel to anchorage (130 miles away) to do any real work on BZP. I became rather disheartened, and had to make hiatus from this grand site. Well, the tides have shifted, and are flowing in my favor now.

I have internet, and its FAST.

I am hereby announcing my full time return to BZPower, and my presence in the forums will be known again. I am pleased to be back, and am able to help whenever I am needed!

My topics are going to get upgraded, a new chibi topic will be created, and a new trials of terror movie topic will be created as well! Stay tuned for awesome happenings, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions about building, or about BZPower.

Cheers to all, and its great to be back!

This could be the beginning of the rest of my life.

I have had boyfriends before, but this one....... just feels different. I have never felt this way about ANYONE in my life. We both feel like we have known eachother for along time, even though we met not all that long ago. I fee llike this is true love, not some pansy game. He may be the one for me, and me the one for him. I am crossing my fingers.

He arrives in town tomorrow. I cannot wait!

I may have finally found what I am looking for....

I recently met a local man named Dean. he is 33, and has a 6 yr old daughter (so awesome!). We met over the weekend on an online dating site (this was the first time I ever really signed up on one of those)

So he saw my profile and emailed me. Turns out, we have met in person before. He had come into the tool rental to rent the Golden Egg from us (its a giant beefy drain auger for sewer pipes) After looking at his pics, I recognized him immediately. We really didn't get much of an opportunity to talk at the time.

Well, now that we have been talking for the last few days, we are a tad smitten with eachother. Right now, he is in Mexico at his Cabana in Puerto Vallarta with his daughter visiting family during his 2 week off cycle from work on the slope. He works on an oil rig, and does a lot of mechanical work, and general maintenance. Must be nice to work a 2week on 2 week off schedule and make 100K a year...

He is coming back to Seward tuesday night, and is going to come into the shop on wednesday. If I am fortunate, Rolf will let me go and spend some time with him on a long lunch, or leave early from work. Dean is only in town a few days before he has to return to the slope for another two weeks, so we will try and make the best of our first few days.

I am really crossing my fingers on this one. He could be the real deal! Destiny has thrown us at eachother for a reason, I think its time to find out why! :3

    Wish me luck!

I worked pretty hard on a new bit of info for Trials of Terror. Diligently working in MS word, I came up with about half of my story sequence with time approximations of how long the scenes will be. This movie might end up being longer than 2 hours....... Depending on how long it ends up being, I may end up releasing it in episodes. Then when the entire movie is finished, I'll have a downloadable link on my Trials of Terror website (which is still in the making) when the movie is all put together.
I may have to build a new folder for my avatars and banners. Brickshelf won't approve the folder after they took it off of public view. It's probably just been there too long without enough updates. I added a bunch of new avvies and banners, but it still wont go active. Argh. Just means I'll have to Work LOL. Oh well.
Warm weather today, about 34 degrees. SHould make fro some slippery roads. I talked to my friends who live in Seward, and they said the roads are nasty freaky ice rink scary stuff yanno..... so I probably wont be able to go back till wednesday morning. At least I don't miss rehearsal this week.......

In the meantime, enjoy this little funny!

My truck has a flat tire... ARG!

Good thing I made it here ok. Mustv'e picked up a sharp object, or the tire is just too worn. The inner edge got worn down pretty low last year 'cause the axle I used to replace the bad one is bent, making the wheels splay out. The truck the axle came from was a wreck I salvaged for parts, but it had been winched down too tightly when it was towed, hence the splayingness...... all that work....

I'll have to get it fixed when I get back to Seward, so I'll have to use my spare, but its a summer tire..... :annoyed2: I hope it doesn't affect the performance of the truck on ice. The highway could be bad tomorrow...... 130 miles of icy two lane highway with no streetlights..... O_O

    Anyway.......

I got my top errands done. I still have some to do tomorrow, but I get more free time than I did today.

My friends "mothers blessing" ceremony was awesome! Way better than any traditional baby shower. We all gave her a bead or charm for a necklace she will make to wear when she goes in to have her baby. There was also a book we recited verses from. It was really sweet, and we made prayer banners that she can hang on a string. Overall, it was very special, and they had good food there too! The charm I made for her was a small pomegranite that had dried up, and had the seeds rattling around inside. It was a hit, and my mom gave her one that had a stone she found one day in the yard. It was a smooth round piece of granite with a smaller round piece of rose quartz fused with it, and it resembled a womb.

    And

I spent the $50 Target gift card that I won in a sweepstakes on a yellow jetrax at the brand new target store!!!!!

I am building it now! Ta ta!

I woke up to Evil Takanuva's hysterical laughter.

    "mwuaahahahhhahhaahahahaaaaaaaaaa" *cough*

    *ahem*

And even worse, was the terribly hideous beast that was staring down my mask. It reeked of sweet things that made my mouth water. I was paralyzed by its gaze, and was forced to watch it eat sweet treats that it pulled from its pocket. The torture was unbearable! It was eating my favorite sweets!

Green Guy was to my right, passed out and buried under a pile of feet.

How we are going to escape from this is beyond me at the moment, but Evil Takanuva has my bow and arrows, which really angers me! Me no like when someone else is hoarding my stuff!

What oh What could happen next! Stay tuned!

UPDATE: I am going to be the Bionicle Theme Coordinator for Brickcon. There will be updates in the near future for where to send mocs and such. I'm going to do my best to get as many great mocs as possible!

I bought my plane ticket, and I am headed to NW Brickcon in October! YAAAY! Anyone else who's going, be sure to catch up with me. We'll need a BZPosse to properly represent! There isn't as much space for Brickcon as there was at brickfest, so bring your favorite mocs only if you are coming, and let me know what you are bringing with you if you are going as an attendee for the entire convention. I'll be sure to make some room on my table for you!

I drove across the bay to check out the Drydock the other day. I was checking up on a boat that I was helping paint (I will take pics of it in the day to show you all)

Anyway, there are a good lot of derelict ships that were sent to drydock after the 1964 earthquake. I took pics of a few of them at dusk. Pics are clickable to make em bigger. Enjoy!

We were walking along after getting out of the pick a brick field, when we came across this lone horseman. The horse looked too organic to be real, but the rider was 100% lego, and real! He was a shady looking guy, all half robot and stuff. He looked rather battle ravaged, and his face was so angry looking.

"Hey Mister" I said. "Are you familiar with this place, could you give us directions to somewhere cool?"

He glared at me and Green Guy, and shook his head.

"You two have entered a dark and treacherous place. There is something bad going around, and I have a feeling that were being watched." He looked around nervously....

Green Guy shuddered. "I'm scared... umm, Blue Archer Lady. This guy gives me the creeps, and I wanna find goodies!"

With that remark, the horseman pointed to the north. "You will find great treasure north of here, but beware the ever watching ones." With that, he rode off, never to be seen again.

"Well, that was crazy" I said. "I wonder what he was all about...."

"WERE GOING NOOOOORTH!" Green Guy hollered as he started running. "GOOOOOOOODDDIIIIEEEESSSSS!"

    I chased after him.....

My mouth was agape as I rounded the next corner....... Mesmerized, I entered the vat.

More kanohi that you could know what to do with, and there was some semi rare masks in there! LOTS of them! Oooh the wonders!

"Look at these masks Green Guy! I think we have hit the jackpot!"

He popped out of the piles of kanohi and said "Look at me Blue Archer Lady! I found a TNGM, and it fits so nice! Tee hee hee!"

Could it get any better? Or are things about to go terribly wrong?

Stay tuned for the next installment of "Letagis Matoran go on an Alaskan Adventure!"

Wish me luck.... I'm making the 140+ mile icy drive back today. I hope the roads aren't TOO bad. I expect wet pavement on the first 30-50 miles, but after that, who knows. I called the highway report line and there is only information for the last 40 miles and they say black ice. There isnt even a report for the most dangerous part of the drive I hope its not un-driveable. I'll be sure to pull over for sanity breaks and take some pictures during the trip, so you can all see a glimpse of some Alaskan beauty. Winter is so awesome! When I get home, I will post a blog entry about the trip with links to pictures. I may even include an outside photo of my unusual house.

Edit: I called the Roadtips again, and they had a report for the whole highway this time. Looks like I am in store for an icy drive home. Here goes!

I also intend on gathering my shrinky dink material and doing something rather........rash.....

Stay tuned for some Keychain Customness!

Ahhh, what a wonderful trip I am having! Getting to spend time with the family is SO AWESOME! My nephew is getting so big! He calls me Aunt Breann now, which is SO FREAKIN BOOYAH! I am stoked! Dad is doing well, as is the rest of the family. Its really fun here, and I need to make an effort to get down here more often to visit family. I really do miss them all.

Things are going well with Dean too! We talk everyday, and become ever so much closer. While I am having a great time here, and with BrickFest just around the corner, I can't wait to get back home. Something about home is just wonderful, especially now that Dean is in my life. I cherish him ever so much!

Heres to life, love and fun!

Oh, and I am going to get me a honda S90..... SO COOL! I got to ride a motorcycle for the first time evah and LOVED IT!
  15. Roa McToa
Yeah, I went skateboarding for the first time ever. I was finally starting to get the hang of it, then, I got going a bit too fast and started to get speed wobbles. By the time I bailed I was going too fast to run out of it, and got some Naaaasty road rash on my left knee and palms.

Kinda smarts, but its not too bad. My knee got it the worst, as the lacerations were deep enough to sufficiently make plenty of blood run down my leg....

Funny thing though, it didnt rip my pants...........

"After escaping from those vicious clones, I traveled onward through this strange new universe, and ran across a field of unsorted Pick a Brick. I began my trek through the deep bricks, almost sinking in to their vastness when I tripped. I got up, and lo and behold, I had tripped over my good buddy ...ummm green guy? Neither of use were given names yet....

I was happy to see him, and helped him up from the pile of brick. Together we trekked onward!"

What will our brave heroes encounter next on their adventure?? Stay tuned to find out!

Here they are, the long awaited final run of Neo Shifters sets. These are hard to find, and if you can't find them locally, check out Amazon.com. I got lucky and found the whole set for retail price with free shipping. DO NOT OVERPAY! These sets are 11.99

Featured in this blog, are the four primary shifters. I will address Duplicon and the small sets in another entry. After that, I will do an entry about the whole line as well as the custom sets I have assembled.

I have noticed that the plastic quality is slightly more brittle on these sets. Even though they have tight fitting parts, if you assemble them at any other angle than perfectly sraight, there is a chance that the connection points will crack. I'll be contacting Mega Blocks soon for replacement parts on two of these guys. At least they send you the parts, no questions asked!

One big bummer is that there are no more light up eyes. These sets, Duplicon, and the web battlers all have a solid molded face. (will take pics in final review)

Onto the action! Click on the pictures to see a larger version.

    The four shifters

All rolled up. Technically, the weapons are mounted to the sides of the ball so that it will roll, but I like to set them up like this.

and their Neos. The Neos a; have really cool melee weapons that can be stuck behind the shifters mask or in their weapon. They look really cool mounted into the masks, cause it gives them either horns or tendrils on their heads. (will show this in final review)

I finished another painting. This one was painted using only Sepia watercolor, and is based off of an old photograph that was taken in the 1930's outside of Petersburg Alaska. I'll get better pics of it out of te frame in a couple weeks, as the glass is reflecting a bit of stuff, distorting things a tad. Enjoy!

I have been brainstorming what I want my movie trailer to be like. I am thinking about 5 minutes long or so. It will show the "current time" story, and take glimpses of the characters and scenery. The trailer is narrated by Turaga Ohma, and when the time comes, I will need a deep voice for the character.

All the giant rahi will be featured with tidbits of their animated awesomeness. I just re-assembled them after having them apart for their brickfest adventure. I'm going to build a new model of Kukorahk, and save the old one for brickfest demos and such. I am thinking of modifying it a bit so it looks more full, and I'm going to build new functions into the legs and tail. The new Kukorahk model will have the same face as the old one, and the other features will remain the same, but it's going to get a massive color treatment!

I am going to also add on to Vakatu's lava urchin Yukizahk, as I feel it is only halfway done..... Pakuudo is going to get some stability treatment in his body and hips, and I may add some little arms too. Seems like everything needs a little tweaking....

Storyline progress goes slowly at this current time, as I really haven't had a ton of time to sit down and concentrate my movie sequence. All in good time. Maybe next time I get to spend quality time at home, I will bust out some epic Trials of Terror!

One month left to name the Reikia folks, so feel free to enter my contest! The Reikia are fearsome creatures of darkness, that are mysterious beyond all imagination. They were even thought to not exist. They hold immense powers within themselves, and were banished to Kuna-Kava for good reason...........
  20. Roa McToa
    Hey everyone.

For those who saw me close my main moc topic, do not fear. I have not given up on Trials of Terror.

Right now, my life is a total mess, and I simply do not have the time to keep up with the project. I will re-post at a later date with the new mocs and story updates.

I hope I can get things straightened out, I am so depressed right now.
  21. Roa McToa
Here I sit, able to scratch out another blog entry whilst in the rainy mists of Seward.

Work has been a rather.... interesting prospect for me. I have been going through a lot of stress dealing with an angry co-worker (he is just an angry person, and can't help it). That has put an unimagineable amount of crazy tension on my brain lately. That, and another thing that finally got resolved is that my Boss has a rather... ermm unscrupulous... history when it comes to other women, and his wife was very uneasy about me working there because of his past history. But I was able to finally speak with her, and NOT get fired for some stupid reason, like being the only girl working at the tool rental.....

I have been learning a lot, and am finally getting better at driving the forklift. I've been doing some auto mechaniching too, fixing things like brakelines, changing oil, reassembling parts for the plow truck, etc... I also repaired a broken bearing in one of our ocsillating sanders, and that made the boss proud, but I think the mechanic feels like I am stepping on his toes. The rental shop doesn't have enough space for all the tools we have, so it gets interesting dealing with eachother, and with customers.

Zieon and I have been having a great time! I really enjoy his company, and he is as crazy for videogames as I am! He's really good to me, and treats me with respect. His two kids are really cool too. They are mentally advanced moreso than other kids their age, simply because of what they have seen in their lives, and from having real heart to heart conversations with their father. So as far as personal life stuff, all that is going great!

I'm talking with the people here at the local library to have my mocs put on display in one of their display cases, and that is looking pretty good as far as it happening! I'll be sure to post the datres for when my models are on display, so that any one you BZP members who happen to be in Seward, can check out my mocs!

I'll be working on a detailed Seward Life entry soon with lots of pictures.

Heres to another day in paradise!

  22. Roa McToa
There are times when you feel that you can truly approach the world with open arms and take in everything that you see, smell and feel. Other times, you feel that you must keep your arms closed, and be guarded because of foul energies that flow in the the universe. When your mind is open, you can truly see the colors of our world, and all the differences in behaviour of people around you. Sit and absorb your surroundings to acheive a sense of enlightenment within yourself, and you may just see a new light in old friends in your life, and new friends.
You find too that your true friends are the ones that stick with you even through the dire straights. Even when you are down and ground into the dirt, your true friends are there to support you and help bring you back up to where you used to be. Your true friends will help you if you are stranded out in the wilderness, and no one else will come and help you. When you think of having a true frind, really think, would this person go to all ends to help me? Would this person stick by you, and beleive you when everyone else says that you are wrong, even when in your heart, you know you are right?
Love your friends and love your enemies. One who can forgive someone is better off that one who beats someone down. Forgiveness is an act of kindness that not everyone knows how to bestow, and once embraced, it makes you an honorable person.

Another random thought from the rantings of Roa..........
  23. Roa McToa
I rebuilt Rayzaurak's legs and hips, and I am very pleased with the outcome. All I need to do to finish him is add the trim touches. It supports its own weight fairly well in many poses, and can be posed to walk now! I have a few more things to do to it to make it even better, so it will be awesome for Brickfest.

I have some Good ideas for Paruvak's Rahi, and I'm going to build the head for Vakatu's Rahi so I can brainstorm its body too. All good stuff here folks!

Now, off I go to part out two big tubs of bionicles, and organize all their parts into my bags and pin trays so I can bring them back to Anchorage tomorrow night. I'll be house sitting for a week there and should have some good time to build. Wish me luck! I am gonna bust as hard as I can.

The Po and Ta Reikia are finished too. I'm going to build the Onu, and try and come up with something for the other 3. I might have to make a quick bricklink order to get some of the peices I need, so there may or may not be 6 Reikia at brickest. Only time will tell. There will be at least three for sure. After all six are built, I'm going to host a "Name the Reikia" contest in my blog! Should be kool!

I'm going to buy my plane tickets and register for brickfest tomorrow, so I am totally stoked happy!!!! YAY!

I'm gonna post my Seward life blog entry soon, so stay tuned for some goodie pics of this great little town!
