I'm feeling pretty bored, so I'm taking a page from Aho's book and making one of these "ask entries" I heard so much about some time ago.

And yes, I do know I am late to that party.

But if it kills boredom, I'm all down for it.

i forgot to fill in my prescriptions the other day so now i have to go with 2 1/2 less doses of estrogen and let me tell you just missing one made me the most emotionally unstable sack of human on this planet.

watching boy meets girl that particular day DID NOT HELP

(great movie btw but as forewarning there's nudity in it SO)

I dunno, but Bionicle being discontinued again doesn’t really bother me one way or the other. mostly because I kinda fell out of it ten years ago. It’s still a nostalgic thing for me yeah, but to be honest, I wasn’t surprised when they cut it again; not a lot of themes last terribly long to begin with and it’s kinda hard to recapture the Bionicle series/personality from when it launched in ‘01.
I have a feeling it might come back in some shape or form a few years into the future, or maybe there’ll be a different theme to completely replace it like with how Bionicle kinda replaced Slizers.
However, I got into the ‘01 series because I was really young, it was unique and had a different atmosphere (back then it was basically “robots living on a tropical island, using stone tablets to write, legends/stories/myths etc…”)

I never really got into the “Metru-Nui” arc, or the stuff thereafter. The series kinda lost the thing that drew me in with its unique setting and after everything was explained/canonized and we all learn our big bad guy who was before supposedly on par with the world’s God is really a janitorial scientist named Terry… it kinda lost all sense of mystery and wonder that kept its engine going. I dunno, for me at least. Not to mention how they tried to make it darker/more violent because of an aging consumer base, which really sits opposite of how the series first started.

Not gunna lie, I woulda been pretty cool with it if the series ended after Mata-Nui was reawakened. (yeah I woulda been sad for no more sets, but the next arcs in the story were just so drastically different it felt like a different story altogether, anyway).

but that’s just like, my opinion, man.

I got two of the Protectors a few days ago when I made my last entry, they're really neat little things. The gatling gun item's fancy enough; it's small and not massive like the cordak blasters were, though the downside is the studs are really easy to lose if you're not careful. (I got fire and ice, oh and LOSS but I'm probably just going to use LOSS for parts).

Later today (as in the 30th) the four Toa I ordered should arrive from TRU, namely: Gali, Kopaka, Tahu and Onua. Didn't order Pohatu and Lewa as they're my least favorites this time around; Pohatu mostly for the silver and gunmetal prevalence, and Lewa because his mask has yet to grow on me and his head articulation seems kinda iffy with the two pieces that go on either side of his head. I'll pick them up at some point, but I wanted to get the first four I liked more.

Protectors are gonna stay my little impulse buys, though Earth is definitely high on the list if only for the purple.

Evidentially I have been finding lots of Vampire related things at the same time. The TBRPG City Of Fear was one of these many Vampire related things, another was getting into an anime series called "Trinity Blood"- Humans, Vampires, and a Crusnik. I'm only on the fourth or fifth episode so yeah.

Along with the fact I ended up making a Vampire based character somewhere *has forgotted exactly where* and the fact I have created a Vampire race for Demonic Beginnings.

Just odd timing for all three of these things to hit home I guess...

    The Crusnik is win however.

posting this everywhere but ngl i'm pretty psyched to have the skirt i ordered finally

it feels nice and not cheap even though i got it at a decent price, it fits perfectly fine and looks rather flattering on me. just need to buy the other parts to make an entire outfit since it doesn't go well with most of my shirts (maybe a sweater i have would work better) it's red/black with a sort of flowy floral design on it (the flowers are black) and idk i like it.

i did want a black/purple one but i didnt see any i liked

So, I ordered a "new" Nintendo 3DS XL (To be fair I was in a spot where I'd need to upgrade my 3DS either way, since the normal size is too small for my hands and causes them to cramp up really fast) and that'll arrive tomorrow, which I'm pretty excited for. I also picked up Majora's Mask at the store (while also having a Link Between Worlds and Ocarina of Time for the same platform~), so my future's gonna be pretty Zelda filled.

Also had an eye appointment yesterday and they dilated my pupils, so I had to wear Garnet-esque shades for when I drove home: Linked 'cuz kinda large

But yeah, everyone at the eye place were incredibly kind to me and helped me with picking out some new frames when my eyes were dilated and I couldn't read the prices and stuff, and they complimented my outfit and necklace. c:

Okay, this isn't a full detailed entry full of all my pictures. Oh no, this is but a bored "I did some stuff" with some pictures taken after the fact. Not big images either, so yeah. Actually I only have one more, it's of the stuff I bought (okay some of it, not all of it)

Just missing the Mines of Moria set and the Race for the Tesseract set (if that's what it's called...). Anyways, can't see it but Loki has a giant buster sword hidden behind lil' Takua, and the pink haired person is rocking out on a giant war axe. Funtimes.

    I want more elves.

    Because. Elves.

    okay!!!

i had a pretty good day today altogether. at first it kinda sucked because i was in one of my... er, like... depressed? moods (not wanting to get out of bed, then spending too much time in the shower, that sort of thing -- with a lot of stressing over really dumb little things). but after playing Archeage with some friends of mine (we kinda just killed other players all day, like hanging out in Haranya and waiting for people to attack us before blowing them up, it was fun -- we also killed some of our own faction members, but shhhh), and after that i went out to do the laundry here at my campus for the first time (which was a massive, massive source of anxiety and stress for me all week) but i went with one of my roommates which made it easier, plus the place didn't have a lot of people -- a few girls just waiting on their stuff (who were all pretty nice, one complimented my shirt and i was able to have some light conversation with the other two who were upperclassmen).

laundry took like 2 hours total (between taken machines, broken machines and waiting for stuff to adequately dry and folding stuff), but it's free so whatever.

idk that experience really brought up my mood for some reason (well i also ate some trail mix with m&m's which might have helped, since chocolate releases endorphin iirc)

i mean it probably sounds really dumb and weird but yeah, this is me.

If the roads weren't as dangerous as they have been the last few days I would've already driven down to Target a few times to see if they have any of the Protectors/Toa out. Pretty excited for them, though part of me wishes my friend still worked there so she could tell me if/when they would put them out (she quit like right after my family moved back to pursue an education across state, so I mean it was definitely for a worthy cause).

Just reminds me how I haven't bought a constraction set since like the first wave of Hero Factory (I just had Breez, I got Von Nebula as a gift and that thing is like half put together, I keep scrapping bits of him for parts).
  11. Noxryn
I sorta kinda maybe told someone something maybe kinda sorta important, all on my own *not really*

And it didn't blow up in my face :,D

    *proud of self*

Or otherwise, how I nickname them!

Oh yes, I am very bored (on a Pokemon break, waiting for someone to wake up, don't feel like going anywhere) and I thought I'd share. Because I'm bored.

I usually pick things out of the name, or occasionally a name that references something I really like. (Like, with Audino, I had five in the last game and named them: Audi, Ausum, Audina, Ausi, Auvina). In White I wanted to name my Snivy "Snivylicious" but that sadly didn't fit, but a close friend came up with "Sylvanus" and he's been rocking that since.

But anyway, here's what I named my party (I name all my Pokemon) :B

    - Lucario - Mio (Wanted to name him Rio, but thought that would get old after he evolved :B )
    - Jolteon - Shiki (Favorite Pokemon gets a name related to my favorite person)
    - Magnetite - Mave (Why, idk)
    - Elekid (Not currently in party) - Eleziel (like Ezekiel, but not)
    - Sigilyph - Sigyl (obvious inspiration is obvious)
    - Genesect (Can't name him D: )
    - Dewott - Poseidon (Stole friend mention's above name scheme for a minute here... he usually is the one to reference gods/goddesses of ancient mythology and pagan faiths << >>)
    - Growlithe - Rowlie =D

I usually pick names I think sound cute/adorable. Or are bad puns. Occasionally I'll throw in one of substance, like a god's name here, or name a Pokemon after someone important (usually my favorite pokemon get those names :B )

As a note, right now I'm up to the Electric Gym. =D highest level Pokemon is Poseidon at 29 *almost 30*

    Sort of, anyways.

But... well, I was off doing things that had to deal with more serious matters in life. (Nothing so serious as life and death, luckily, but simply matters that affect my personal future and some issues relating to how some things were treating me [in which I won't go into detail on]).

As a result, I ended up spending a lot less time on here. Honestly, I ended up spending a lot less time anyplace that I had to invest a lot of time and stress over in some cases. What I ended up doing with the time I had with the internet was going back to some games like World of Warcraft (why? Because it's, honestly, a nice light-hearted escape from things) and writing poetry and spending time figuring out short stories to sort of vent things out in. (Which I wrote by hand, in a notebook, so the likelihood of any being shared is practically nill... though some of it was just roleplaying, anyway). I also began working out more, because that has a history of bringing my mood up.

But, there's some things I now want to do.

    * Finish up college applications (I've really dropped the ball on this one)
    * Start catching up with more of what is expected of me, be it posts on one site, or working and helping on the forums here. (Real life things already factored in).
    * Write Nightingale, Guardian Angel and put work towards a currently untitled story.

After tonight, I feel tons better. Walking around Mainstreet and stopping into a small little shop that sells neat little trinkets really got me out of my rut, that and some guy downtown hit on me so that made me feel pretty good (Actually, about three different guys did; 16th street mall was a nice way to spend some time today... wasn't like creepy, either).

I have a new wallet now, it's one of those small, compact steel case thingies (mine's pink <3) and I also got a new Hello Kitty phone case (As a side note, I also got a LGBT related car magnet I love~ it's sorta political, so I shan't post an image of it).

There's still some things I really need to do, personal things I don't want to talk about here, but after I get myself to do it... things will just be so much better.

**Note: I've begun to notice that in games I play, like MMO's or FPS games, I'm always apparently mistaken as a girl... ? I really don't get this, though I mean... I suppose playing a female panda in WoW could lead people to assume this (I just thought the male ones were too chubbywubby and wanted a panda badly), but... man, some of the messages I get.

That's my ramble for the night.

I've had a... well, I'll say it wasn't a very good week overall. Some drama (not here you silly nannies) popped up that upset me (but I'm over it, thus why I'm all good), had to work in a library for 15 hours of Spring Break (not that I don't like libraries, but cleaning shelves hated my back with a passion... and cleaning books... let's just say some of them were really gross and I'm a wuss), and I got into a dumb argument (no nothing here again you sillies) which... let's just say it was dumb and leave it there.

and BZPower had a bit of drama go on, i think it's stupid it's even "drama" but whatever. I think my signature accurately displays my opinion.

i updated this here blog a bit, removed content blocks i deemed pointless or silly (well besides the rpg one though it's incomplete, old and every link is outdated since the old forums are gone but it's kinda too nostalgic or me to delete)

also the pink's on purpose; pink is a pretty color and i will deck my online self (and offline self, though it's not a particularly flattering color on me -- purple is a bit more, i think) in it.

almost removed the splash art thing (it's ancient... well, maybe three years??? four?? i lost those dog tags forever ago, but i got them more as a little bit of morale support for myself at the time so i kept the splash thing there)

was tempted to put a selfie somewhere 'cuz it's a blog 'n junk and that's how i usually mark my blogs, but eeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh

if i ever get the confidence to properly do myself up in makeup and find a flattering outfit (specifically like, a skirt i really like and a cute hoodie or something since idk, i tried such a combination of clothes once in Macy's while i was bored and i thought i looked quite pretty -- still kinda shocked they had things i could wear even if it fit somewhat oddly which was reason numero uno i didn't get them) then i will likely use it there (and prolly promptly update all my other ones haha)

(usually the standard t-shirt/jeans combo is boring to wear, but i dont like wearing shorts since i can't wear leggings or stockings with them [kinda self conscious about my legs for some reason... like, how pale they are, i think? i dunno, it's weird])

    wow

    look at all these parentheses

    (so many)

    also 701st entry yay pretty

    MMO's I've played/am Playing 'Cuz Why Not

    - World of Warcraft (still playing)
    - Aion Online
    - Tera
    - Guild Wars
    - Guild Wars 2 (still playing, on and off)
    - Rift
    - Wildstar
    - Final Fantasy XIV
    - Archeage

Prolly some others, but I can't remember them.

Aion, WoW, Tera, GW2 and FFXIV probably have my favorite gaming memories in them. WoW on the basis that I had no clue how MMO's worked and, for the most part, solo'd an entire dungeon on a Paladin during the Cataclysm expansion thinking I was supposed to do it that way. Plus, the story has more memories for me -- I'm not that knowledgeable of it, but I generally liked it and it reminded me a lot of the books I read when I was younger, like the all the works that featured Drizzt Do'Urden.

Aion sorta taught me what a dungeon was, and had a class I adored (chanter, chanters are the best ever). Technically I was a support role, but I had to take over the primary healing role a lot in that game (and received compliments quite a few times, many saying I healed better on a support character than most clerics they ran into). Mostly dropped it since the RNG was a huge feature of the game (RNG as in, if you want the best stats for anything, you need to spend a ton of in-game money to get the items and then hope that, as you're socketing them, they don't shatter all the expensive ones you had. Failure rates were extremely high, same for enchanting weapons). I like RNG, but I like it in doses (WoW's is pretty decent I feel, I get cool stuff enough to weigh out when I get zilch, Aion just broke all my stuff constantly). XIV had a nice RNG system, where the items you want can drop, but you always get some tokens you can use for the next tier of items. I miss my chanter since not only was he the best class, but the character creator basically let me import one of my older OC's and he got really neat wings and Asmodians just fit the profile for him so well >.>

Tera was the first game I started actively RPing in, mostly because I could play a castanic in a full set of plate armor, a massive lance and give him the Armstrong disposition (see; FMA). But how scantily clad -everything- was and the community that attracted began to really weigh down the game, that and the world felt incredibly dead. The story was non-existent, the water couldn't be touched, the buildings were basically open domes in most cases, the crafting was just misery, the amount of farming to do felt painful, the end game dungeons (only two) were plagued with glitches and 'elite' players. I'm never going to forget Kaprima. I fought Kaprima so many times. So. Many. Times. When they released more content they basically broke their game and after that my guild basically said "nope" and most of us left. (Our guild was a small, fun RP group who somehow had a province we'd win every election -- we did host some server wide events, like the zombie game, which was pretty fun to be a part of).

Guild Wars 2 is where I met a ton of friends and was the first game where I was actually exposed to a larger LGBTQ+ community. I feel some elements of the story are the reason for that, since there's openly gay, lesbian and pansexual characters in the game itself (Sylvari, as a species, are predominantly pansexual and the official relationships they had in canon reflected that for the most part). Still, I love my mesmer sylvari and I loved RPing as him in this game -- basically an adult-sized four year old (literally four years old, the oldest sylvari in existence is like 25 or so). I loved so many things about the story initially, the Nightmare Court, the Inquest, the Wardens and the Pale Tree -- I am still incredibly saddened they never did much with these organizations. Nightmare Court has little written in terms of motivation (Why do they hate everyone? Why do they want to corrupt The Dream? Why do they murder, maim and kill in the name of corrupting the Dream? Why are they so vehemently against Ventari's teachings when most sylvari seem fine with them? They're never really developed, and in te moment where they could have been developed Anet opted to create the Toxic Alliance which I still hate). The RP in the game was fun, the community was pretty decent, the PvP and WvW were interesting and engaging before the latter turned into Blobfest. But the game itself became stale and never developed the interesting aspects about its story and constantly introduced new things instead of building on older things.

I miss FFXIV on the basis I loved the miqo'te males and I loved healing. Plus, I beat most of the major content in that game when it was still particularly hard (latency issues in the Titan Hard Mode fight made it's difficulty much higher, since you'd need to know the rotation by heart so you could move out of the instagib moves before they went off server-side, since you couldn't see it client-side). But the RPers became plagued with elitists who demanded specialized statistics and methodology that took away from the freeform players, and the raiding/dungeon community was beyond terrible in terms of attitude. (Forcing new players to skip story laden cinematics in story dungeons, for example).

Now I did like Wildstar, but it got boring really fast. All there was, was quests and completing them and running from hub to hub. Little to do with exploration and the dungeons just murdered too many groups to make them viable to pug. The PvP was too chaotic and large scale, the maps too small to accommodate the amount of players adequately. Plus, the story can be really, really dark which was a huge shock since all the trailers, narrations and so forth seemed to point towards a light hearted story with jokes and gags akin to Ratchet and Clank. Kind of a huge shock when you go into the game and realized that there's children who've witnessed their entire families torn apart, burned alive, and they're the last remainders who are mourning over their family/lamenting about what they can do.

Wooo, Cayne (my avatar) and Chrom reached support level S. They so cute together. (Even if I still wish we could do same-sex romancing...).

I'm only on chapter six, too lol. (And keep trying to fight this champion-to-recruit who has level five Outrealm units who... are not... cannot be... level... 5...)
  19. Noxryn
I feel kinda meh about it. While I enjoy the games, having spent far too much time in the first one, I just don't feel as hyped up for this game for some reason.

While Mass Effect was definitely fun to play, I never really got into the lore so much. The characters were kinda meh, save Tali and Garrus (and even then, they weren't spectacular... well maybe Garrus, but that's 'cuz I've had a crush on Garrus since I first played the game </3). Shepherd, well the ones I always ran, were always kind bleh. Paragon one was too goody, Renegade one was too hate-able and the healthy mixture of both led to a boring character -- I don't know, maybe I just feel limited in terms of options for how to expound upon the Shepherd I wanted to make? Like, there's tons of things to do in the game, but most of the stuff boiled down to "Here's your Paragon option, neutral option and renegade option" and it made a boring character and character progression, in my honest opinion.

Everyone else I never got into. Wrex was okay, but he was only useful in a combat sense, so I shot him when he got annoying in the cutscenes (I'm such a wonderful person </3). Ashley and Kaidan/en both bugged me to no end, I nuked Ashley (as she was more annoying in my opinion) and Kaidan/en was just so dull. Whining about headaches (L2 implants, yadda yadda) and dying in the fighting -- nothing else, really. Plus, he just looks like the "generic soldier male" that only the default Shepherd could put to shame. (Plus, I really despise the customization options... there's not enough for what I wanted to pull off. Now, I do love Aion's customization options -- body build, facial build, age, height, skin colors that varied a bit more, hairstyles that were actually cool looking and not so bleh etc...).

So, from that I just found the characters lacking. I do really like Garrus though, but I don't understand why outside of his voice and that he has a bit of a... anti-heroish feel to him. Plus, he took a missile to the face and can still laugh about it <3

Then there's the plot. In my opinion it's kinda meh. Giant evil robots out to destroy everything (sounds kinda familiar, no?), there's no interesting twists and turns (not even Cerberus was that interesting in terms of plot) and it just feels like every other generic apocalypse in the future type of story. It'd have been redeemable if the characters were better, or there was more development with character relations (not necessarily the relationships, but that'd have been nice too... I was so heartbroken when my [male] Shepherd couldn't have a relationship [or much of] with Garrus in ME and ME2... don't know what the picture is in ME3, I've heard mixed things).

Really, I got more enjoyment out of the mercenary plots (in a "wow, I could really build off this if I wanted to write fanfiction"). than the actual story.

I do love how open the world is though, it gives an ample canvas for writing (if I wanted to do fanfiction/practice, or play a TBRPG), but that's about it.

    The gameplay is fun, though.
